Harmonic mappings and conformal minimal immersions of Riemann surfaces into RN

    Get PDF
We prove that for any open Riemann surface N, natural number N ≥ 3, non-constant harmonic map h:N→R N−2 and holomorphic 2-form H on N , there exists a weakly complete harmonic map X=(Xj)j=1,…,\scN:N→R\scN with Hopf differential H and (Xj)j=3,…,\scN=h. In particular, there exists a complete conformal minimal immersion Y=(Yj)j=1,…,\scN:N→R\scN such that (Yj)j=3,…,\scN=h . As some consequences of these results (1) there exist complete full non-decomposable minimal surfaces with arbitrary conformal structure and whose generalized Gauss map is non-degenerate and fails to intersect N hyperplanes of CP\scN−1 in general position. (2) There exist complete non-proper embedded minimal surfaces in R\scN, ∀\scN>3.Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología MTM2007-61775Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología MTM2007-64504Junta de Andalucía P09-FQM-508

We prove that for any open Riemann surface N and any non constant harmonic function h : N → R, there exists a complete conformal minimal immersion X : N → R3 whose third coordinate function coincides with h. As a consequence, completeminimal surfaceswith arbitrary conformal structure andwhose Gauss map misses two points are constructed.Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia MTM2007-61775Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia MTM2007-64504Junta de Andalucía P06-FQM-01642

    Combining linear and nonlinear diffusion

    Get PDF
In this paper we study a generalized porous medium equation where the diffusion rate, say m(x) —spatially heterogeneous—, is assumed to be linear, m = 1, on a piece of the support domain, Ω1, and slow nonlinear, m(x) > 1, in its complement, Ωm := Ω \ Ω¯1. Most precisely, we characterize the existence of positive solutions and construct the corresponding global bifurcation diagram as one of the parameters of the model changes, showing that a continuous transition occurs between the diagrams of the completely linear case (Ω = Ω1) and of the completely nonlinear case (Ωm = Ω). As a result, the effect of a localized slow diffusion rate with varying support is completely characterized. Our analysis is imperative in order to design porous media multi-components systems with changing diffusion rates.Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnologí

On the symbiotic Lotka–Volterra model with diffusion and transport effects

    Get PDF
In this work we analyze the existence, stability and multiplicity of coexistence states for a symbiotic Lotka-Volterra model with general diffusivities and transport effects. Global bifurcation theory, blowing up arguments for a priori bounds, singular perturbation results, singularity theory and fixed point index in cones are among the techniques used to get our results and to explain the drastic change of behavior exhibited by the dynamics of the model between the cases of weak and strong mutualism between the species. Our methodology works out to treat much more general classes of symbiotic models. In this paper is included by two parts clearly differenced. At this first, we are focusing on a specific tumour: characteristics optic tumour in childhood and its determinant results for this some innovative and interesting aspects as a result of different developed research. At this time, the videoconference has been an alternative, not only as a resource or strategy but also as a point of view for the development of schoolwork at hospital room

This work has been supported by the MINECO (Spain) Project No. PID2019-107394 GB-I00 (AEI/Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional, Union Europea) . A. D. M. acknowledges financial support by the MICIU (Spain) through Formacion de Profesorado Universitario (FPU) Fellowship No. FPU18/04599.In this work, we make the observation that the gravitational leptogenesis mechanism can be implemented without invoking new axial couplings in the inflaton sector. We show that, in the perturbed Robertson-Walker background emerging after inflation, the spacetime metric itself breaks parity symmetry and generates a nonvanishing Pontryagin density which can produce a matter-antimatter asymmetry. We analyze the produced asymmetry in different inflationary and reheating scenarios. We show that the generated asymmetry can be locally comparable to observations in certain cases, although the size of the matter-antimatter regions is typically much smaller than the present Hubble radius.Depto. de Física TeóricaFac. de Ciencias FísicasTRUEMinisterio de Economía y Competitividad (MINECO)/ FEDERMinisterio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICINN)pu

Study by DTA/TG of the formation of calcium aluminate obtained from an aluminium hazardous waste

    Get PDF
A Spanish hazardous waste from tertiary aluminium industry was used as a raw material for the synthesis of calcium aluminate. An amorphous precursor was obtained by a hydrothermal method at different values of pH. The transformation of the precursor in a crystalline aluminate was followed by TG/DTA up to 1300 C. At temperatures between 719 and 744 C, the precursors evolve towards the formation of C12A7 which becomes CA at circa 1016 C. Mass spectrometry coupled to thermal analyser allowed the identification of the decomposition productsMEC for financing project CTM2005-01964 and the company Recuperaciones y Reciclajes Roman S.L.
