The Bangladeshi Consumer Behavior and Attitude Toward Superstores
Superstores introduced a whole new experience in the shopping of daily necessities. They offered quality products at a stable price in safe and clean environment in order to survive and achieve profitability. Although there are many factors which relate to customer satisfaction, but most of previous empirical research in this field tended to emphasize on quality products, products variety and special products, location, hygienic environment, hassle free shopping and freshness , competitive price, service and layout of the store. The purpose of the study is to identify the role of each of the factors to respond to customer requirements to satisfy customers and what and how they behave in the market place toward these factors. The totality of their movement toward the factors and attitude, the researcher liked to demonstrate here. The questionnaires were developed from many previous researches. The data was collected from 50 customers of 5 superstores in Chittagong. The result of this study shows that the factors have positive relationship with customer satisfaction those in terms ensure store loyalty. Therefore, the superstores should consider product and store service factors as the foundation to satisfy customer and to improve service quality as an add-on value to customer. Improvement opportunity in Agile Methodology and a survey on the adoption rate of the Improved Methodology
Agile method promotes an iterative process on software development. It is a lightweight process that employs short iterative cycles, actively involve users and developers to establish, prioritize, and verify requirements and rely on a team’s tacit knowledge as opposed to documentation. In this paper we describe the existing agile methodologies and improve its different parameters so that software development industries can adopt it more easily. It describes the improvement of overall understanding of the constituent parts of agile systems development methodologies and some improvement of different parameters. In our proposed method we design a Tool of adoption matrix which will help software development industries for adoption decision solution of the Improved Agile Methodology. We have described the result of different software workshop where the adoption assessment will be used to assess the existing agile system and the improved agile system. The result from this tool will help software industries to apply the improved agile methodologies. Keywords: Agile Methodology, Adoption decision, Adoption assess tool, Improvement of Agile
An Enhanced Pairwise Search Approach for Generating Optimum Number of Test Data and Reduce Execution Time
In recent days testing considers the most important task for building software that is free from error. Since the resources and time is limited to produce software, hence, it is not possible of performing exhaustive tests (i.e. to test all possible combinations of input data.) An alternative to get ride from this type exhaustive numbers and as well to reduce cost, an approach called Pairwise (2 way) test data generation approach will be effective. Most of the software faults in pairwise approach caused by unusual combination of input data. Hence, the demand for the optimization of number of generated test-cases and reducing the execution time is growing in software industries. This paper proposes an enhancement in pairwise search approach which generates optimum number of input values for testing purposes. In this approach it searches the most coverable pairs by pairing parameters and adopts one-test-at-a-time strategy for constructing a final test-suite. Compared to other existing strategies, Our proposed approach is effective in terms of number of generated test cases and of execution time. Eco-Banking Strategies for Competitive Advantages
Environment issues compel the financial institution especially banking business to conduct in such areas in such a manner that helps the overall reduction of external carbon emission and internal carbon footprint. Based on these ideologies, the study initialized the greening strategies for eco-banking and formed a theoretical model through extensive literature survey. These strategies incorporate into three content -green indoor, green process and green outdoor based on potentialities where the factors within the green functions focused low cost and differentiation to ensure competitive advantage. Hence the progress of banks under the crown of eco-banking will obviously create a future milestone in dynamic banking. An internet of things framework for real-time aquatic environment monitoring using an Arduino and sensors
Aquaculture is the farming of aquatic organisms in natural, controlled marine and freshwater environments. The real-time monitoring of aquatic environmental parameters is very important in fish farming. Internet of things (IoT) can play a vital role in the real-time monitoring. This paper presents an IoT framework for the efficient monitoring and effective control of different aquatic environmental parameters related to the water. The proposed system is implemented as an embedded system using sensors and an Arduino. Different sensors including pH, temperature, and turbidity, ultrasonic are placed in cultivating pond water and each of them is connected to a common microcontroller board built on an Arduino Uno. The sensors read the data from the water and store it as a comma-separated values (CSV) file in an IoT cloud named ThingSpeak through the Arduino microcontroller. To validate the experiment, we collected data from 5 ponds of various sizes and environments. After experimental evaluation, it was observed among 5 ponds, only three ponds were perfect for fish farming, where these 3 ponds only satisfied the standard reference values of pH (6.5-8.5), temperature (16-24 °C), turbidity (below 10 ntu), conductivity (970-1825 μS/cm), and depth (1-4) meter. At the end of this paper, a complete hardware implementation of this proposed IoT framework for a real-time aquatic environment monitoring system is presented
Improving Australia's trade balance: A case study of agro-forest and fish products
The impact of the exchange rate (ER) on the trade balance (TB) has been discussed for many years. However, the issue has not been discussed in sufficient depth, especially in relation to the TB of agricultural products. This paper will gauge this impact on Australia, which has much potential for agro-based trade in the world market. We have applied the Bahmani-Oskooee and Hosny's approach of the linear autoregressive distributed lag model to estimate the Marshall–Lerner condition (MLC) regarding the trade of Australian agro-forest and fish (AFF) products with its five major partner countries. Quarterly data will be used for the period 1988Q1–2020Q4. Our findings support the MLC in case of the major share of Australian AFF trade. The implication is that if the market force depreciates Australian ER, the country's AFF TB will improve in the long-run
Internet of Things (IoT) based ECG System for Rural Health Care
Nearly 30% of the people in the rural areas of Bangladesh are below the
poverty level. Moreover, due to the unavailability of modernized
healthcare-related technology, nursing and diagnosis facilities are limited for
rural people. Therefore, rural people are deprived of proper healthcare. In
this perspective, modern technology can be facilitated to mitigate their health
problems. ECG sensing tools are interfaced with the human chest, and requisite
cardiovascular data is collected through an IoT device. These data are stored
in the cloud incorporates with the MQTT and HTTP servers. An innovative
IoT-based method for ECG monitoring systems on cardiovascular or heart patients
has been suggested in this study. The ECG signal parameters P, Q, R, S, T are
collected, pre-processed, and predicted to monitor the cardiovascular
conditions for further health management. The machine learning algorithm is
used to determine the significance of ECG signal parameters and error rate. The
logistic regression model fitted the better agreements between the train and
test data. The prediction has been performed to determine the variation of
PQRST quality and its suitability in the ECG Monitoring System. Considering the
values of quality parameters, satisfactory results are obtained. The proposed
IoT-based ECG system reduces the health care cost and complexity of
cardiovascular diseases in the future
Effect of antibiotics and BAU-biofungicide in controlling bacterial leaf blight of litchi
The experiment was carried out in the net house, Department of Plant Pathology, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh, Bangladesh during 16 July 2012 to June 2013 to find out the suitable management practices for controlling bacterial leaf blight of litchi by applying six treatments viz., (i) T1–Gentamycin @ 0.05%, (ii) T2– Erithromycin @ 0.05%, (iii) T3–Doxycycline @ 0.05%, (iv) T4–Copper sulphate @ 0.05%, (v) T5–BAU-biofungicide @ 2% and (vi) T6–Control. Per cent incidence and per cent severity have been found to decrease by applying BAU-biofungicide, copper sulphate and gentamycin, although other treatments showed good result in decreasing severity of bacterial leaf blight. BAU-biofungicide was found superior among the treatments as it increased 18.83% plant height, 43.50% branch over control and reduced 17.16% disease incidence and 63.03% disease severity over control when applied as foliar spray @ 2%. Copper sulphate reduced 13.85% disease incidence and 50.21% disease severity over control and graded second best control measure for bacterial leaf blight of litchi when applied as foliar spray @ 0.05%
