© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The work is devoted to 3D scanning capabilities investigation for controlling the geometric dimensions of cervical spinal implants. Models of cervical implants were modeled in the CAD program "SolidWorks" and were made on rapid prototyping installations RS 6000 and ProJet 1200. Polymer models of implants were used for casting on consumable patterns at the casting unit Inducast. Scanning of polymer models and metal castings was performed using the 3D scanning system Activity 850. The resulting parametric 3D model had a lot of defects and inaccuracies. However, the use of non-contact optical scanning methods greatly simplifies the measurement of the control dimensions of complex profile mesh implants

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The purpose of this research is to develop on the basis of existing analogs new design of ophthalmologic microsurgical tweezers by using reverse engineering techniques. Virtual model was obtained by using a three-dimensional scanning system Solutionix Rexcan 450 MP. Geomagic Studio program was used to remove defects and inaccuracies of the obtained parametric model. A prototype of the finished model was made on the installation of laser stereolithography Projet 6000. Total time of the creation was 16 hours from the reverse engineering procedure to 3D-printing of the prototype

Applying 3D-printing technology in planning operations of cancer patients

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The purpose of this work was creation 3D model of the front part of the skull of the patient and evaluates the effectiveness of its use in the planning of the operation. To achieve this goal was chosen an operation to remove a tumor of the right eyelid, germinate in the zygomatic bone. 3D printing was performed at different peripheral devices using the method of layering creating physical objects by a digital 3D model as well as the recovery model of the skull with the entire right malar bone for fixation on her titanium frame to maintain the eyeball in a fixed state

Application of additive technologies in the process of technological preparation of aviation products

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. Preparation of production and development of new science-intensive products is a complex and time-consuming process, including the creation of product models for carrying out a series of experimental studies to refine computational models, and then manufacturing the necessary technological equipment. The use of digital production technologies can reduce the laboriousness of this process. This work researches on decrease in time of development of details of the gas-turbine engine with use of digital manufacture concepts and additive technologies are given

Application of reverse engineering in the production of individual dental abutments.

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The purpose of the research is to develop a method of manufacturing individual dental abutments for a variety of dental implants. System of industrial X-ray microtomography Phoenix V|tome|X S 240 has been applied for creation of highly accurate model of the dental abutment. Scanning of dental abutment and the optimization of model was produced. The program of milling the individual abutment with a standard conical neck of hexagon was produced for the five-axis milling machine imes - icore 450i from the materials titanium and zirconium oxide

Human and animal cells adhesion on the modified glass

    Get PDF
2D matrix for cells cultivation has been created using ionic plasma processing of silicate glass. We have shown that the CD-I mouse hepatocytes are adsorbed on the modified and the control glass after 24 h cultivation. Number of these cells on the modified glass was 2.8-0.2 more as compared with that in control on a smooth glass. Human fibroblasts adsorbed on a modofied glass matrix had normal configuration and their number was 1.5 ± 0.5 times greater that the number of cells in the control of smooth glass matrix

Reactive magnetron sputtering model at making Ti-TiOx coatings

    Get PDF
© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. Mathematical model of reactive magnetron sputtering for plant VU 700-D is described. Approximating curves for experimental current-voltage characteristic for two gas input schemas are shown. Choice of gas input schema influences on model parameters (mainly on pumping speed). Reactive magnetron sputtering model allows develop technology of Ti - TiOx coatings deposition without changing atmosphere and pressure in vacuum chamber

High voltage high repetition rate pulse using Marx topology

    Get PDF
© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The paper describes Marx topology using MOSFET transistors. Marx circuit with 10 stages has been done, to obtain pulses about 5.5KV amplitude, and the width of the pulses was about 30μsec with a high repetition rate (PPS > 100), Vdc = 535VDC is the input voltage for supplying the Marx circuit. Two Ferrite ring core transformers were used to control the MOSFET transistors of the Marx circuit (the first transformer to control the charging MOSFET transistors, the second transformer to control the discharging MOSFET transistors)
