Interacting scalar and spinor fields in Bianchi type I universe filled with magneto-fluid
Self-consistent system of spinor, scalar and BI gravitational fields in
presence of magneto-fluid and -term is considered. Assuming that the
expansion of the BI universe is proportional to the component of
the shear tensor, exact solutions for the metric functions, as well as for
scalar and spinor fields are obtained. For a non-positive the
initially anisotropic space-time becomes isotropic one in the process of
expansion, whereas, for an oscillatory mode of expansion of the
BI model occurs.Comment: RevTex4, 8 pages, no figure
Nonlinear spinor field in cosmology
Within the scope of Bianchi type VI (BVI) model the self-consistent system of
nonlinear spinor and gravitational fields is considered. Exact self-consistent
solutions to the spinor and gravitational field equations are obtained for some
special choice of spatial inhomogeneity and nonlinear spinor term. The role of
inhomogeneity in the evolution of spinor and gravitational field is studied.
Oscillatory mode of expansion of the BVI universe is obtained for some special
choice of spinor field nonlinearity.Comment: RevTex4, 19 pages, 4 figure
Qualitative Properties of Magnetic Fields in Scalar Field Cosmology
We study the qualitative properties of the class of spatially homogeneous
Bianchi VI_o cosmological models containing a perfect fluid with a linear
equation of state, a scalar field with an exponential potential and a uniform
cosmic magnetic field, using dynamical systems techniques. We find that all
models evolve away from an expanding massless scalar field model in which the
matter and the magnetic field are negligible dynamically. We also find that for
a particular range of parameter values the models evolve towards the usual
power-law inflationary model (with no magnetic field) and, furthermore, we
conclude that inflation is not fundamentally affected by the presence of a
uniform primordial magnetic field. We investigate the physical properties of
the Bianchi I magnetic field models in some detail.Comment: 12 pages, 2 figures in REVTeX format. to appear in Phys. Rev.
Nonlinear spinor field in Bianchi type-I Universe filled with viscous fluid: numerical solutions
We consider a system of nonlinear spinor and a Bianchi type I gravitational
fields in presence of viscous fluid. The nonlinear term in the spinor field
Lagrangian is chosen to be , with being a self-coupling
constant and being a function of the invariants an constructed from
bilinear spinor forms and . Self-consistent solutions to the spinor and
BI gravitational field equations are obtained in terms of , where
is the volume scale of BI universe. System of equations for and \ve,
where \ve is the energy of the viscous fluid, is deduced. This system is
solved numerically for some special cases.Comment: 15 pages, 4 figure
Magnetohydrodynamics and Plasma Cosmology
We study the linear magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations, both in the
Newtonian and the general-relativistic limit, as regards a viscous magnetized
fluid of finite conductivity and discuss instability criteria. In addition, we
explore the excitation of cosmological perturbations in anisotropic spacetimes,
in the presence of an ambient magnetic field. Acoustic, electromagnetic (e/m)
and fast-magnetosonic modes, propagating normal to the magnetic field, can be
excited, resulting in several implications of cosmological significance.Comment: 9 pages, RevTeX, To appear in the Proceedings of the Peyresq X

Spinor Field in Bianchi type-I Universe: regular solutions
Self-consistent solutions to the nonlinear spinor field equations in General
Relativity has been studied for the case of Bianchi type-I (B-I) space-time. It
has been shown that, for some special type of nonliearity the model provides
regular solution, but this singularity-free solutions are attained at the cost
of broken dominant energy condition in Hawking-Penrose theorem. It has also
been shown that the introduction of -term in the Lagrangian generates
oscillations of the B-I model, which is not the case in absence of
term. Moreover, for the linear spinor field, the term provides
oscillatory solutions, those are regular everywhere, without violating dominant
energy condition.

Plane-symmetric inhomogeneous magnetized viscous fluid universe with a variable
The behavior of magnetic field in plane symmetric inhomogeneous cosmological
models for bulk viscous distribution is investigated. The coefficient of bulk
viscosity is assumed to be a power function of mass density . The values of cosmological constant for these models are
found to be small and positive which are supported by the results from recent
supernovae Ia observations. Some physical and geometric aspects of the models
are also discussed.Comment: 18 pages, LaTex, no figur
Exact Hypersurface-Homogeneous Solutions in Cosmology and Astrophysics
A framework is introduced which explains the existence and similarities of
most exact solutions of the Einstein equations with a wide range of sources for
the class of hypersurface-homogeneous spacetimes which admit a Hamiltonian
formulation. This class includes the spatially homogeneous cosmological models
and the astrophysically interesting static spherically symmetric models as well
as the stationary cylindrically symmetric models. The framework involves
methods for finding and exploiting hidden symmetries and invariant submanifolds
of the Hamiltonian formulation of the field equations. It unifies, simplifies
and extends most known work on hypersurface-homogeneous exact solutions. It is
shown that the same framework is also relevant to gravitational theories with a
similar structure, like Brans-Dicke or higher-dimensional theories.Comment: 41 pages, REVTEX/LaTeX 2.09 file (don't use LaTeX2e !!!) Accepted for

Anisotropic cosmological models with a perfect fluid and a term
We consider a self-consistent system of Bianchi type-I (BI) gravitational
field and a binary mixture of perfect fluid and dark energy given by a
cosmological constant. The perfect fluid is chosen to be the one obeying either
the usual equation of state, i.e., p = \zeta \ve, with or
a van der Waals equation of state. Role of the term in the evolution
of the BI Universe has been studied.Comment: 8 pages, 8 Figure
