    No full text
This project is concerned with the properties and processing of ASTM F-75 for cast orthopedic implants. The focus is a comparison of two different carbon contents used for this alloy. Using microstructural analysis and surface finish analysis; the properties of this alloy with the different carbon contents were analyzed. The experimental design aspect that played a key role in completion of this project was the materials selection process. This includes the reasons why F-75 is the alloy used for this application and which carbon concentration is the best choice

This project is concerned with biotechnology start-up companies in the United States and Germany. The focus is a comparison of variables surrounding biotechnology start-up companies in both countries. Using interviews and a case study, the roles of these variables were analyzed. Through research, it has become apparent that despite needing further improvement in Germany, these variables have created a favorable environment for biotech start-up companies. A manual of recommendations was also created to aid entrepreneurs in starting biotechnology companies
