Unified picture of non-geometric fluxes and T-duality in double field theory via graded symplectic manifolds
We give a systematic derivation of the local expressions of the NS H-flux,
geometric F- as well as non-geometric Q- and R-fluxes in terms of bivector
beta- and two-form B-potentials including vielbeins. They are obtained using a
supergeometric method on QP-manifolds by twist of the standard Courant
algebroid on the generalized tangent space without flux. Bianchi identities of
the fluxes are easily deduced. We extend the discussion to the case of the
double space and present a formulation of T-duality in terms of canonical
transformations between graded symplectic manifolds. Finally, the construction
is compared to the formerly introduced Poisson Courant algebroid, a Courant
algebroid on a Poisson manifold, as a model for R-flux.Comment: 44 page
National Survey on the Implementation Realities of Art Education at Hearing Special Needs Schools in Japans
This research aimed to survey the actual condition and characteristics of the implementation of art classes in hearing special needs schools in Japan and to present future perspectives and issues. A questionnaire was sent to the chief teachers of art in each division of 80 schools, excluding branch schools; 70 responses were received, 68 of which were complete and analyzed. The results of the analysis showed that the difficulty of teaching tended to be generally lower among teachers of hearing special needs schools compared to the results for all types of special needs schools. However, acquiring specialized knowledge about disabilities and developing curricula for playing art activities were more difficult for teachers of hearing special needs schools. Moreover, many of the respondents were positive about the establishment of art and design courses in the higher division and in majors after graduating from the higher division. It is recommended that, in the future, a survey of hearing special needs school graduates and the positioning and utilization of art and design with an inclusive society in mind be conducted. This work was supported by JSPS KAKENHI Grant Number JP22H01008
Closed -Schur Katalan functions as -homology Schubert representatives of the affine Grassmannian
Recently, Blasiak-Morse-Seelinger introduced symmetric functions called
Katalan functions, and proved that the -theoretic -Schur functions due to
Lam-Schilling-Shimozono form a subfamily of the Katalan functions. They
conjectured that another subfamily of Katalan functions called the closed
-Schur Katalan functions are identified with the Schubert structure sheaves
in the -homology of the affine Grassmannian. The main result is a proof of
the conjecture.
We also study a -theoretic Peterson isomorphism that Ikeda, Iwao, and
Maeno constructed, in a non-geometric manner, based on the unipotent solution
of the relativistic Toda lattice of Ruijsenaars. We prove that the map sends a
Schubert class of the quantum -theory ring of the flag variety to a closed
--Schur Katalan function up to an explicit factor related to a
translation element with respect to an anti-dominant coroot. In fact, we prove
the above map coincides with a map whose existence was conjectured by Lam, Li,
Mihalcea, Shimozono, and proved by Kato, and more recently by Chow and Leung.Comment: 32 pages, 2 figure
Developing a Quality of Life Evaluation Method Based on Engagement and Performance for Children with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities in a Formative Activities Class
The aim of this study is to develop a quality of life (QOL) evaluation method based on engagement and performance for children with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities in a formative activities class. QOL in relation to formative activities in this study is defined as children with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities being able to perform activities in a highly motivated manner, and maximize their abilities through involvement with the people around them, by using the educational materials and instructional tools unique to formative activities. A rubric was created with constructional elements that included their engagement and performance. For enhancing reliability and validity, QOL was assessed based on 11 procedures video-recorded during the formative activities in an art class, and digitizing the children’s QOL conditions per class. For verifying the QOL evaluation method, the author conducted the Action Research thrice at a multiple disabilities class in the elementary division of a special needs school. Then, the homeroom teacher and the author evaluated four children’s QOL conditions and measured their agreement. The concordance correlation coefficient was calculated by “weighted κ for multiple categories.” Hence, the QOL evaluation method is effective in measuring the children’s actual QOL conditions.本研究は,JSPS科研費15K04440の助成を受けた
A Literature Review and Agenda regarding Communication for Children with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities
This study reviewed the literature on communication for children with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities in order to clarify the research trends and problems. The author reviewed doctoral thesis in the field of education and academic papers on practical theory and case studies. The findings were as follows: Half of the doctoral thesis used organized psychophysiological research methods. In the academic papers on practical theory, a number of researchers and teachers drew on the theories of the primordial communication, the INREAL approach, and the co-creative communication approach. The case studies included hypothesis verification studies and qualitative studies. Through the literature review, the author clarified four issues in psychophysiological research methods and two issues in case study research.本研究は,平成27年度~29年度科学研究費補助金基盤研究(C),課題番号(15K04440)の助成を受けたものである
