Gas dehydration using glycol solution in absorption and adsorption unit
Gas dehydration is widely used in natural gas treatment plant as a common process, because water and hydrocarbons can form hydrates, which may block valve and pipelines. Water also can cause corrosion in the gas contain acid components. Until today, among the most popular dehydration technology is either absorption or adsorption process. In this research, a novel study on gas dehydration a combination of absorption and adsorption process, where tri-ethylene glycol (TEG) and silica gel are absorbent and adsorbent respectively. A laboratory absorption-adsorption unit is studied in terms of natural gas (methane) flow rate and operating temperature to the percentage of water removal. The experimental work started at room temperature by controlling the valve of methane flow rate at 2.5 m3/hr initially and then allows the gas through the absorption-adsorption unit. Meanwhile, tri-ethylene glycol (TEG) flows at 120 L/hr from a circulation pump. Experiment was repeated with different methane flow rates and different operating temperature in the range of 30oC until 50oC. Experimental results showed that, increasing of methane flow rate causes increasing of water removal while increasing of operating temperature give a result of decreasing of water removal. Thus, in analyzing the gas dehydration efficiency, in an absorption-adsorption unit, parameters such as gas (methane) flow rate and operating temperature are among to be considered for a reliability and economic benefit.-Author

ETRO as a New Oil-Based Drilling Fluid for High Pressure High Temperature and Deepwater Well
Base oil is the base fluids used in an invert emulsion drilling fluids system. Instead of using water as the base fluid, base oil is used in order to minimize the clay swelling problem in drilling applications. However, each base oils has different physical and chemical properties which may affect the properties of the drilling fluid. It is important to compare the performance of the base oil in order to select the most suitable and compatible base oil for a particular application. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance and compatibility of the new ETRO compared to others such as Saraline 185V, Sarapar 147, Escaid 110, and YK-D80N as the base oil in High Temperature High Pressure (HTHP) and deepwater condition and also to observe the effect of each base oils towards the drilling fluid properties. For this study, there are some aspects of the base oil that should be considered in selecting the best and most suitable base oil to be used in the drilling fluids like the physical properties, environmental toxicity and biodegradability, viscosity and stability of the fluid. For this study, besides comparing the performance of the base oils, we are more focusing on proving the compatibility of the new ETRO as the new base oil option for the industry especially for HPHT and deepwater drilling applications. Standard procedures of testing the mud is followed where the mud will be tested at before and after hot rolled for 16 hours at certain temperature which may differ depending on the particular application
Parental Support in the Learning of Students with Deaf and Hard of Hearing at Home
Education policy encourages parental support as a mechanism for improving learning outcomes. This survey was conducted to determine how well parents can contribute to academic achievement in the special education needs (SEN) among deaf and hard of hearing students. This study uses the Epstein Parent involvement Model and Bronfenbrenner Ecological Theory. A set of 20 questionnaire items with a five-point Likert scale adapted from this study by the Ministry of Education Malaysia was used. A total of 22 students from a secondary school in Seremban were selected for the purpose of this study. The data were analyzed descriptively and in inference using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25 to obtain scores. The Pearson correlation test shows that the relationship between deaf and hard of hearing students' academic achievement and parental support is a strong and significant positive relationship (p <0.05). The findings show low parental support with deaf and hard of hearing students' academic achievement, which is also a low level. Overall, the study found that parents need to pay close attention to providing a home-based learning environment, social interaction, communication, and academic support to help children develop their potential self and achieve better student academic achievement
Trainee Teachers Level of Willingness for Inclusive Education
Every student at the Teacher Education Institute (IPG) has now been given an inclusive education course so they know about its implementation at school. Therefore, this research looks at how far the willingness of new teachers to be placed in schools with inclusive education. It was conducted in IPG in Sabah which involved 50 trainees from 5 different courses and took the Inclusive Education subject. It is a survey of quantitative reviews and uses questionnaires for data collection. The data were analyzed using Statistical Packages for the Social Science (SPSS) to see the frequencies, percentage and mean descriptive analysis. Besides, five trainee teachers from five different courses were interviewed to identify barriers that may interfere with the trainee teachers’ willingness for inclusive education. The results showed that 86 % of the trainee teachers are ready to accept special need students without prejudice and 84 % are willing to approach and recognize special needs students in their classroom. The findings also showed that there was no significant difference in the readiness of the IPG trainee in the implementation of inclusive education based on gender namely t = -0.270 with P = 0.811 greater than 0.05 (P <0.05). The trainee teachers should be able to meet the needs of students with disabilities in school. The success of inclusive education rests on teacher preparation gearing towards inclusive education. However, continuous guidance is essential to help produce qualified teachers, especially in understanding the underlying philosophy of inclusive education
Could enterprise risk management (ERM) create, protect and enhance shareholders’ wealth among Malaysian listed issuers
The primary objective of this study is to explore the extent to which ERM implementation is capable of enhancing shareholders’ wealth. A sample of 283 companies operating in the Main Market of Bursa
Malaysia was selected. This study utilized the definition of ERM as the independent variable and shareholders’ wealth as dependent variable. The overall observation revealed that ERM was significant in explaining the variation in shareholders’ wealth. Objective setting, event identification, risk response, control activities, information and communication, and monitoring substantiated the hypothesized relationship. The research framework of this study, which utilized assumptions from stewardship and agency theory, could serve as guidance for future research on
organizational control and governance. The study fills the gap in literature which mostly concentrated on the USA and western countries. The CRO and the board should focus more advising functions at the earlier stage of the ERM implementation and monitoring functions once ERM matured
