The Spectroscopic Orbits of Five Solar Type, Single Lined Binaries
We have determined spectroscopic orbits for five single-lined spectroscopic
binaries, HD 100167, HD 135991, HD 140667, HD 158222, HD 217924. Their periods
range from 60.6 to 2403 days and the eccentricities, from 0.20 to 0.84. Our
spectral classes for the stars confirm that they are of solar type, F9 to G5,
and all are dwarfs. Their [Fe/H] abundances, determined spectroscopically, are
close to the solar value and on average are 0.12 greater than abundances from a
photometric calibration. Four of the five stars are rotating faster than their
predicted pseudosynchronous rotational velocities.Comment: 12 pages emulateap
Identification and Distribution of Hard Ticks Species (Acari: Ixodidae) on the Northeastern Coast of Libya
Hard ticks (Acari: Ixodidae) are essential blood-feeding ectoparasites. Many species are medically the second-most important arthropod disease vectors for humans. Furthermore, hard ticks are the most prevalent and significant ectoparasites of domestic animals worldwide. To investigate the tick species infesting animals or the ground, seeking a host in northeastern Libya, a study of hard ticks (Acari: Ixodidae) was carried out between 2006 and 2009, which was then continued at the end of 2017–2018. Two methods were used to collect individual tick samples: direct collection from infected animals (donkeys, goats, sheep, cows, camels, and dogs) and dragging a cloth over the vegetation. The tick species were identified using morphological examinations. A total of 1991 individual ticks were identified in this study from 11 cities and regions in Libya. Overall, eleven tick species were identified: Hyalomma (three species), Boophilus (three species), Rhipicephalus (three species), Amblyomma (one species), and Haemaphysalis (one species). The most common tick species identified were Hyalomma dromedarii and Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Al-Marj city (meadow) had the highest number of ticks, followed by Massa city, while Ras Al-Hellal had the fewest number of ticks. This study is one of the few of its kind conducted in our country, and our findings help explain the tick species that parasitize animals. The presence of Haemaphysalis parva  in the Al Jabal Al Akhdar region as a new species indicates a need for more comprehensive studies to inventory the local tick populations
A Method for Producing Site-Specific TEM Specimens from Low Contrast Materials with Nanometer Precision
A method that enables high precision extraction of transmission electron microscope (TEM) specimens in low contrast materials has been developed. The main idea behind this work is to produce high contrast markers on both sides of and close to the area of interest. The markers are filled during the depositing of the protective layer. The marker material can be of either Pt or C depending on which one gives the highest contrast. It is thereby possible to distinguish the location of the area of interest during focused ion beam (FIB) milling and ensure that the TEM sample is extracted precisely at the desired position. This method is generally applicable and enables FIB/scanning electron microscope users to make high quality TEM specimens from small features and low contrast materials without a need for special holders. We explain the details of this method and illustrate its potential by examples from three different types of materials
Life Adaptation Program & Its Effect on Daily Living Skills of Autistic Children and Their Parents Stress
This study aimed to investigate the effect of life adaptation program on daily living skills (DLS) of autistic children and their parent's stress. A quasi -experimental design was utilized in this study. A purposive sample of thirty autistic children and their parents were recruited from Autism Day Care Unit-Beit El-shams- Child Psychiatry Clinic in El-Abbassia Mental Health Hospital. Three tools were used to conduct the current study, sociodemographic and medical data sheet, autistic child skills scale, and parent's stress scale. The results showed that, more than eighty percent of the studied children had low level of daily living skills, and slightly more than half of the studied parents had moderate stress level. Findings revealed that there was a highly statistically significant difference between pre-post program regarding daily living skills & there was a highly statistically significant difference between parents stress pre and post program. In conclusion, early intervention play significant role in the development of DLS of all ages, yet further researches are needed for developing and maintenance of DLS of autistic children. Embryoid induction and plantlet regeneration from leaf segments of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.)
Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) is an economically important crop in Sudan for domestic consumption and export. It is the first and essential source for production of high purity sugar. Tissue culture techniques can be used for in vitro conservation of sugarcane (Taylor and Dukic, 1993) and mass propagation of elite cultivars of crop species. Moreover, it was used for production of pathogen-free planting material from infected mother plants. Variability induced in vitro can furnish a base for improvement of vegetatively propagated crops including sugarcane. Different tissue culture techniques were applied successfully to sugarcane propagation and plant regeneration through organogenesis of shoot meristem (Nadar and Heinz, 1977; Ho and Vasil, 1983a), cell suspension cultures (Ho and Vasil, 1983b, Aftab et al., 1996) and protoplast cultures ( Liu, 1994). Cell suspen - Sion cultures were also used for cytological, pathological (Peros and Lombard, 1992), biochemical and physiological investigations of sugarcane (Heinz et al., 1977).

TASTE MASKING OF PRIFINIUM BROMIDE IN ORODISPERSIBLE TABLETS
Objective: In previous work, Prifinium Bromide had been successfully formulated as oro-dispersible tablets. However, Prifinium Bromide, a quaternary ammonium compound, has a bitter taste; therefore, taste masking was necessary to produce acceptable oro-dispersible tablets and enhance patients' compliance.
Methods: In this work, several attempts had been made to mask the bitterness of this drug. β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes, solid dispersions of the drug in ethyl cellulose and methyl cellulose as well as loading the drug on Eudragit E100 have all been used. The selected granules were used to prepare oro-dispersible tablets and were evaluated.
Results: Drug-Eudragit granules E3 prepared by mass extrusion method gave less than 10% of drug in simulated saliva fluid and almost complete release in simulated gastric fluid after 2 minutes. Therefore, it was used to prepare oro-dispersible tablets formulas. In vitro disintegration time of formula T2 was 45.5 ± 7.7 seconds showed a complete drug release of Prifinium Bromide in phosphate buffer (pH 6.8) and (94%) in SGF (pH 2.1).
Conclusion: Loading of Prifinium Bromide on Eudragit E100 using mass extrusion method was the best method to overcome the disagreeable taste of the drug. They gave the least amount of drug released in simulated saliva fluid and passed the quality control tests of tablets after formulation as oro-dispersible tablets. They also gave good taste when tested in vivo
