Bariatric operation in treatment of morbidian obesity and metabolic syndrome (revier of literature)
Morbid obesity, associated with various metabolic disorders leading to a decrease in the quality of life and its duration. Conservative treatment of morbid obesity is often ineffective, and therefore bariatric surgery is becoming more common. The review analyzed clinical recommendations and our experience in selecting patients for bariatric surgery, assessed the effectiveness and safety of various types of operations, and outlined the main problems of these operational benefits.ΠΠΎΡΠ±ΠΈΠ΄Π½ΠΎΠ΅ ΠΎΠΆΠΈΡΠ΅Π½ΠΈΠ΅, Π°ΡΡΠΎΡΠΈΠΈΡΠΎΠ²Π°Π½ΠΎ Ρ ΡΠ°Π·Π»ΠΈΡΠ½ΡΠΌΠΈ ΠΌΠ΅ΡΠ°Π±ΠΎΠ»ΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΈΠΌΠΈ Π½Π°ΡΡΡΠ΅Π½ΠΈΡΠΌΠΈ ΠΏΡΠΈΠ²ΠΎΠ΄ΡΡΠΈΠΌΠΈ ΠΊ ΡΠ½ΠΈΠΆΠ΅Π½ΠΈΡ ΠΊΠ°ΡΠ΅ΡΡΠ²Π° ΠΆΠΈΠ·Π½ΠΈ ΠΈ Π΅Π΅ ΠΏΡΠΎΠ΄ΠΎΠ»ΠΆΠΈΡΠ΅Π»ΡΠ½ΠΎΡΡΠΈ. White Paper: Designing the perfect New European Bauhaus neighbourhood
The concept of Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments (SHAFE) emphasises the comprehensive person-centred experience as essential to promoting living environments. SHAFE takes an interdisciplinary approach, conceptualising complete and multidisciplinary solutions for an inclusive society. From this approach, we promote participation, health, and well-being experiences by finding the best possible combinations of social, physical, and digital solutions in the community. This initiative emerged bottom-up in Europe from the dream and conviction that innovation can improve health equity, foster caring communities, and sustainable development. Smart, adaptable, and inclusive solutions can promote and support independence and autonomy throughout the lifespan, regardless of age, gender, disabilities, cultural differences, and personal choices, as well as promote happier and fairer living places. The New European Bauhaus initiative gathers "beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive projects and ideas" to inspire a positive transformation around us. The New European Bauhaus 2024 Festival took place between 9-13 April. "Designing the perfect New European Bauhaus neighbourhood: New European Bauhaus meets SHAFE" was a Satellite Event of the Festival, held as an online workshop, organised by the SHAFE Foundation on April 9th, 2024. At the event, a group of 50 participants with a multidisciplinary background discussed how to meet the challenges of the European Garcia family to enable them to live in a perfect neighbourhood. The White Paper presents the findings of the participants with the New European Bauhaus inspiring projects and ideas to house the European Garcia family in their neighbourhood. The White Paper recommends developers, designers, planners, and policymakers to include person-centred design of social and physical environments and technologies. Although awareness of person-centred design is growing, many initiatives still hamper the inclusion of citizens or end-users throughout the development of products and services

Parvovirus B19 (PVB19), (formerly erythrovirus B19) is the etiological agent of the so-called Β«Fifth diseaseΒ», which is mainly found in childhood and adoles-cence, but is also associated with polymorphic clinical presentation, aplastic crises, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia etc., and in pregnant women β unauthorized abortions.Clinical case.Β Reported a case of PVB19 viremia, which in a 2-year-old patient was the cause of systemic damage. Attention is focused on the long-term differential diagnosis of exanthema in combination with hepatosplenomegaly, polyserositis and leukopenia with neutropenia, anemia and thrombocytopenia of infectious and non-infectious origin, including excluded the neoplastic process, collagenosis. To verify the diagnosis, numerous microbiological tests, aspiration and trepanation bone marrow (BM) biopsy were performed, puncture of pleural fluid, skin biopsy, imaging methods were used: ultrasound (ultrasound), chest Π₯-ray, computed tomography. In ΠM, cytological and histological studies revealed giant erythroid cell elements in the pronormoblast stage with pronounced intranuclear inclusions with chromatin pressed to the periphery of the nucleus, which led to the suspicion of PVB19 infection, which was confirmed using the polymerase chain reaction method. Recovery of the child occurred after the use of methylprednisolone at a dose of 2.7 mg/kg for 28 days with a gradual withdrawal of the medication.Conclusions.Β In our opinion, this topic is relevant in the practice of doctors of various specialties, since the timeliness, adequacy and result of treatment depend on the correct verification of the clinical diagnosis. The research was carried out in accordance with the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. The study protocol was approved by the Local Ethics Committee of all participating institution. The informed consent of the child's parents was obtained for the research. No conflict of interest was declared by the authors.ΠΠ°ΡΠ²ΠΎΠ²ΠΈΡΡΡ Π19 (PVB19), ΠΏΡΠ΅ΠΆΠ½Π΅Π΅ Π½Π°Π·Π²Π°Π½ΠΈΠ΅ ΡΡΠΈΡΡΠΎΠ²ΠΈΡΡΡ B19, ΡΠ²Π»ΡΠ΅ΡΡΡ ΡΡΠΈΠΎΠ»ΠΎΠ³ΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΈΠΌ Π°Π³Π΅Π½ΡΠΎΠΌ Ρ.Π½. Observations: Oceanic climate change and sea level
The oceans are warming. Over the period 1961 to 2003,
global ocean temperature has risen by 0.10Β°C from the
surface to a depth of 700 m. Consistent with the Third
Assessment Report (TAR), global ocean heat content (0β
3,000 m) has increased during the same period, equivalent
to absorbing energy at a rate of 0.21 Β± 0.04 W mβ2 globally
averaged over the Earthβs surface. Two-thirds of this energy
is absorbed between the surface and a depth of 700 m.
Global ocean heat content observations show considerable
interannual and inter-decadal variability superimposed on
the longer-term trend. Relative to 1961 to 2003, the period
1993 to 2003 has high rates of warming but since 2003
there has been some cooling
Mild Concussion, but Not Moderate Traumatic Brain Injury, Is Associated with Long-Term Depression-Like Phenotype in Mice
Mild traumatic brain injuries can lead to long-lasting cognitive and motor deficits, increasing the risk of future behavioral, neurological, and affective disorders. Our study focused on long-term behavioral deficits after repeated injury in which mice received either a single mild CHI (mCHI), a repeated mild CHI (rmCHI) consisting of one impact to each hemisphere separated by 3 days, or a moderate controlled cortical impact injury (CCI). Shams received only anesthesia. Behavioral tests were administered at 1, 3, 5, 7, and 90 days post-injury (dpi). CCI animals showed significant motor and sensory deficits in the early (1-7 dpi) and long-term (90 dpi) stages of testing. Interestingly, sensory and subtle motor deficits in rmCHI animals were found at 90 dpi. Most importantly, depression-like behaviors and social passiveness were observed in rmCHI animals at 90 dpi. These data suggest that mild concussive injuries lead to motor and sensory deficits and affective disorders that are not observed after moderate TBI
