    CP Violation and B Physics

This is a quick review of CP non-conservation in BB physics. Several methods are described for testing the Kobayashi-Maskawa single phase origin of CP violation in B decays, pointing out some limitations due to hadronic uncertainties. A few characteristic signatures of new physics in B decay asymmetries are listed.Comment: 12 pages, SLAC-PUB-8221, Invited talk given at the 1999 Conference on Kaon Physics, Chicago, IL, June 21-26, 199

A comment on "weak phase γ\gamma using isospin analysis and time-dependent asymmetry in $B^0\to K_S\pi^+\pi^-"

We comment on a recent suggestion for measuring γ\gamma in B0(t)→KSπ+π−B^0(t)\to K_S\pi^+\pi^-. A difficulty is pointed out in relating electroweak penguin and tree amplitudes in B+→K0π+π0B^+\to K^0\pi^+\pi^0, which is crucial for an implementation of this method. We clarify the necessary condition for such a relation.Comment: To be published as a Comment in Physical Review Letters, references adde
