Modellversuche mit Modellen von SES fuer eine begrenzte Wassertiefe Schlussbericht

The research project 'Model tests with models of SES in limited water depth' is part of the Project SUS-C 'Fast unconventional ships'. In group C are surface effect ships investigated. With the investigation of two SES in limited water depth in this project there was made a contribution for developing design gasics for this type of ships. There was manufactured a model of an SES, designed at Peene-Werft Wolgast together with MTG Marinetechnik GmbH. The waterlevel in SVA towing tank was reduced up to 2.5 m. A second model was delivered by Versuchsanstalt fuer Binnenschiffbau Duisburg (VBD). This is the model of a design of Blohm + Voss AG. With both models were resistance and propulsion tests carried out as well as in displacement condition and cusion. Four loadings were investigated.
