The present research endeavors to discover similarities and differences among digital libraries in Iran and to clarify the extent of their consistency in terms of main library requisites. Using a qualitative -quantitative method, i.e. a survey research method using content analysis, it identifies Iranian Digital Libraries (IDLs) and explores their characteristics. Reviewing the literature, we identified the main requisites for libraries including search and browsing facilities, search mode, collection development policies, content, document types, feedback, access models and services and then composed them into a checklist. Searching Google, we verified the top 500 of the records returned to identify IDLs and study them regarding the criteria. The results showed that the IDLs vary strongly in their main traits and library requirements, signifying a general variation in their developers' interpretations of digital library concept. The strong points of the IDLs are their variety in contents, materials and subjects covered as well as in devising browsing facilities, multilingual collections and feedback mechanisms. However, they showed to be deficient in providing a variety of services, search and management mechanisms. The significance of the research relies on the importance of commonly agreed perceptions of digital libraries on their future success. It affects the nature of the relationships between information users, providers and intermediaries as well as their designing, implementation and resource, access and legalmanagement and the services types and extents

Abstract Background: Breast cancer is one of the common diseases among women with various factors involved in it. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of tumor markers, estrogen receptor (ER), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (Her2), and Ki67 antigen, and other factors affecting the survival time of patients with breast cancer in Yazd City, Iran, using Bayesian multiple Cox regression analysis. Methods: This was a population-based study of 538 women with breast cancer registered in the clinical database of the Ramezanzade Radiotherapy Center from the April 2005 until March 2012. Comprehensive data on prognostic factors, comorbidity and treatment together with complete follow-up for survival were used to evaluate improvements in mortality. Data was analyzed using R 3.4.2 software. P-value of less than 0.050 was considered as the significance level. Findings: The mean age of patients with breast cancer and the mean survival time were 48.03 ± 11.16 years and 97.64 ± 4.23 months, respectively. Based on Kaplan-Meier method, the 1, 3, 5 and 8-year cumulative survivals in patients with breast cancer were 0.976, 0.898, 0.823, and 0.737, respectively. Bayesian Cox regression analysis showed that surgery [Hazard ratio (HR): 1.631, 95% Prediction interval (PI): 1.102-2.422)], ki67 (HR: 3.260, 95%PI: 1.6308-6.372), stage (HR: 5.620, 95%PI: 4.079-7.731), lymph node (HR: 1.765, 95%PI: 1.127-2.790), and estrogen receptor (HR: 2.033, 95%PI; 2.023-3.354) were significantly related to survival time. Conclusion: According to Bayesian multiple cox regression, stage, Ki67, lymph node, estrogen receptor, and surgery variables have a positive effect on death hazard. By combining Bayesian and semi-parametric methods in survival analysis, in order to use prior information and relaxation of parametric assumption, the model gain more flexibility and robustness against misspecification of the probability model; this gives more valuable results. © 2018, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences(IUMS).

During 2005, a survey was conducted on the Miridae fauna of Urmia region and environs and a large number of species belonging to this family were collected. Among them, 19 specimens were identified as Capsus cinctus (Kolenati), which the genus and species is the first report for Iran. The identification was confirmed by R. Linnavuori, Finland. The species was collected on weeds, especially Bromus sp. in June

In the study of natural enemies of mealybugs (Hem.: Pseudococcidae) in Fars province, Iran, a large number of parasitized mealybugs were collected, and the emerged encyrtid species identified as Leptomastidea alleni Noyes & Hayat, 1994. The identification was confirmed by Zhihong Xu, Institute of Applied Entomology, Zhejiang University of China. The genus and species is a new record for Iran. This is also the first report of L. alleni from Palearctic region. This species was collected from Nipaecoccus viridis (Newstead) on Citrus sinensis (L.), C. aurantium (L.) and Althaea sp., and from Planococcus vovae (Nasonov) on Cupressus sp

Larvae of Dicrodiplosis manihoti Harris (Dip., Cecidomyiidae) are the predator of mealybug ovisacs (Hem.: Pseudococcidae) in Fars province, Iran. Parasitized larvae of this predator were collected from Nipaecoccus viridis (Newstead) on Citrus sinensis (L.) and reared in the laboratory. Parasitoid wasps belonging to the family Torymidae were consequently collected, and identified as Pseudotorymus stachidis (Mayr) by T. C. Narendran, India. This species is a new record for Iran. The host-parasitoid relationship is also newly recorded

Nephus (Bipunctatus) bipunctatus (Kugelann) is a predator of Peliococcus kimmericus (Kiritshenko) (Hem.: Pseudococcidae) on Lactuca serriola L. in different parts of the Fars province, Iran. Some parasitized larvae of this predaceous ladybird were collected, and two parasitoid wasps, Homalotylus flaminius (Dalman) and H. sinensis Xu & He (Hym.: Encyrtidae), reared from these larvae in the laboratory conditions. These parasitoids, which are new records for Iran, were identified by Dr Zhihong Xu. Both species are solitary endoparasitoid and the relationship between them and their host are newly reported
