    There tne mathematical models to study the transient conditions in three-phase ahd two-phase short circuit in the colliery subcircuit with the varying frequency and with the voltage between the Frequency Converter (FC) and the Induction Motor (IM) have been developed. The computing methods of transient processes of three-phase and two-phase short circuit in the cable network between the FC and IM, which allow to calculate more accurately the current of short circuits, the electromagnetic moment and the time of existence of generator modes of IM, have been offered. The new manner to detect the short circuit in the cable network between the FC and IM has been offered; the short circuit mode is determined according to the fact of transition of IM into generator mode and of transfer of energy of FC into short circuit place too.
