The symbiotic bacterial microbiota of insects has been shown to play essential roles in processes related to physiology, metabolism, and innate immunity. In this study, the symbiotic microbiome of Plagiodera versicolora at different developmental stages was analyzed using 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing. The result showed that symbiotic bacteria community in P. versicolora was primarily made up of Actinobacteriota, Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, Bacteroidota, and Dependentiae. The bacterial composition among different age individuals were highly diverse, while 65 core genera were distributed in all samples which recommend core bacterial microbiome. The 8 species core bacteria were isolated from all samples, and all of them were classified as Pseudomonas sp. Among them, five species have been proven to promote the vegetable growth of Beauveria bassiana. Moreover, the virulence of B. bassiana against nonaxenic larvae exceeded B. bassiana against axenic larvae, and the introduction of the Pseudomonas sp. to axenic larvae augmented the virulence of fungi. Taken together, our study demonstrates that the symbiotic bacteria of P. versicolora are highly dissimilar, and Pseudomonas sp. core bacteria can promote host infection by entomopathogenic fungus. This result emphasizes the potential for harnessing these findings in the development of effective pest management strategies

A coordinated control method of voltage and reactive power for active distribution net-works based on soft open point

    Get PDF
The increasing penetration of distributed generators (DGs) exacerbates the risk of voltage violations in active distribu-tion networks (ADNs). The conventional voltage regulation de-vices limited by the physical constraints are difficult to meet the requirement of real-time voltage and VAR control (VVC) with high precision when DGs fluctuate frequently. However, soft open point (SOP), a flexible power electronic device, can be used as the continuous reactive power source to realize the fast voltage regu-lation. Considering the cooperation of SOP and multiple regula-tion devices, this paper proposes a coordinated VVC method based on SOP for ADNs. Firstly, a time-series model of coordi-nated VVC is developed to minimize operation costs and eliminate voltage violations of ADNs. Then, by applying the linearization and conic relaxation, the original nonconvex mixed-integer non-linear optimization model is converted into a mixed-integer sec-ond-order cone programming (MISOCP) model which can be efficiently solved to meet the requirement of voltage regulation rapidity. Case studies are carried out on the IEEE 33-node system and IEEE 123-node system to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method

Constraints on the spacetime metric around seven "bare" AGNs using X-ray reflection spectroscopy

We present the study of a sample of seven "bare" active galactic nuclei (AGN) observed with Suzaku. We interpret the spectrum of these sources with a relativistic reflection component and we employ our model RELXILL_NK to test the Kerr nature of their supermassive black holes. We constrain the Johannsen deformation parameters α13\alpha_{13} and α22\alpha_{22}, in which the Kerr metric is recovered when α13=α22=0\alpha_{13} = \alpha_{22} = 0. All our measurements are consistent with the hypothesis that the spacetime geometry around these supermassive objects is described by the Kerr solution. For some sources, we obtain quite strong constraints on α13\alpha_{13} and α22\alpha_{22} when compared to those found in our previous studies. We discuss the systematic uncertainties in our tests and the implications of our results.Comment: 15 pages, 12 figures. v2: refereed versio

Radiology of HIV/AIDS in China: Current status and clinical application

    No full text
HIV infection targets at the human in the human body and targeting damage to immune system to compromise the result in hypoimmunity. HIV associated damages to tissues and organs as well as AIDS related infections caused by various pathogens and neoplasms are clinically common. AIDS related diseases are the main cause of death in patients with AIDS. Therefore, early prevention as well as appropriate and immediate treatment against AIDS related diseases play key role in prolonging the survival period and improving quality of life in patients with AIDS. In recent years, medical radiology has gained rapid development, which plays an important role in diagnosing and treating HIV/AIDS related diseases. The findings by medical radiology constitute an important chain of evidence for HIV/AIDS related diseases. Developed from traditional morphological radiology to current functional and molecular radiology, the modern medical radiology is providing a flood of diagnostic information to guide clinical practice. It is expected to provide accurate data for the location of lesions as well as quantitatively and qualitatively radiological diagnosis. Based on the radiological data, the goal of individualized treatment can be achieved

Objective: The aim of this study is to describe the incidence and mortality of echinococcosis in China, as well as its radiological studies. Materials and methods: Based on the official high-quality data summarised by Chinese Ministry of Health and reported annually in Chinese Health Yearbook, the authors analysed data about echinococcosis from 2011 to 2015 to indicate its incidence and mortality in China. A statistic analysis based on the available literature from the last century to the middle of 2015 was carried out, so as to learn the radiological research tendency. Results: There are thousands of cases reported each year from 2011 to 2015, with the most of 3841 cases in 2013 and the least of 2909 cases in 2011. Generally, the radiological studies on echinococcosis showed a fluctuant increasing trend from 1975 to 2015. Conclusions: Such prompting statistics emphasize the dynamic nature of echinococcosis which needs continuously public concern and enhancing the radiological research direction about echinococcosis
