    Gamow-Teller strength in the β+ decay of104In

    No full text
The β-strength function of104Cd is studied in the β+/EC decay of mass-separated104In. The determination of the β+ feeding and the β+/β+EC ratio is the result of the simultaneous measurement of beta and gamma rays in one semiconductor beta-spectrometer. Information on the strength function near the QEC value is obtained from the detection of high-energy γ rays. The total observed β strength amounts up to 10% of the Extreme Single-Particle Shell Model value. A strong enhancement in the β+/EC feeding to a group of levels around 5.6 MeV shows the influence of the Gamow-Teller Resonance. © 1990 Springer-Verlag.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

    Decay study of Inm104,g

The Ing104 and Inm104 nuclei have been produced by means of the following reactions: Cd106(p,3n), Mo92(14N,2n), Mo92(16O,p3n), Mo92(20Ne,3p5n). Their decay has been investigated after mass separation. From + and x direct spectra and - T, -x-T, and - T coincidences, a Cd104 level scheme has been constructed. The observation of an intense background of statistical rays, emitted after strong decay to high energy levels, resolves the problems of previously published work concerning -ray intensities, spin determinations, and QEC values. © 1989 The American Physical Society.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
