This report reviews data on sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH) reported by a sample of CSOs and NGOs in their 2018-2019 Annual/Accountability Reports. It describes how SEAH data is collected and reported on by the selected CSOs and NGOs. Sampled organisations most often mentioned the use of standardised frameworks for reporting, but in their annual and accountability reports, they did not include relevant information on particular procedures and parameters for collecting data on SEAH. There is a general lack of consistency in the SEAH data reported on by different organisations and, and an absence of disaggregation of publicly available data. This makes a comparison between the sampled organisations difficult. More so, given that violence against women and girls is under-reported all around the world, it significantly impacts on reporting of SEAH. Calls for more transparent reporting of SEAH creates the possibility that reporting on SEAH could become more common and more comprehensive in CSOs and NGOs forthcoming annual reports for 2019-20

Gender, Age and Migration: An extended briefing

In many parts of the world, migration has replaced fertility and mortality as the leading agent of demographic change. A person’s gender, age, religion, race, ethnicity, sexuality and health or disability shape every stage of the migration experience. This briefing focuses on gender and age, offering an insight into who migrates and who doesn’t, reasons for migrating, experiences of the migration process and what life is like for different groups of migrants and refugees when, and if, they reach their destinations. The briefing concludes with a set of recommendation for more gender and age sensitive policy making on migration.DFI
