    Looking for meson molecules in B decays

    We discuss the possibility of observing a loosely bound molecular state in a B three-body hadronic decay. In particular we use the QCD sum rule approach to study a η′−π\eta^\prime-\pi molecular current. We consider an isovector-scalar IGJPC=1− 0++I^G J^{PC}= 1^-~0^{++} molecular current and we use the two-point and three-point functions to study the mass and decay width of such state. We consider the contributions of condensates up to dimension six and we work at leading order in αs\alpha_s. We obtain a mass around 1.1 GeV, consistent with a loosely bound state, and a η′−π→K+K−\eta^\prime-\pi\rightarrow K^+ K^- decay width around 10 MeV.Comment: 7 pages, 8 figure

    Final state hadronic interactions and non-resonant B±→K±π+π−B^\pm\to K^\pm\pi^+\pi^- decays

    We evaluate the non-resonant decay amplitude of the process B±→K±π+π−B^\pm\to K^\pm\pi^+ \pi^- using an approach based on final state hadronic interactions described in terms of meson exchanges.     Second Generation of 'Miranda Procedure' for CP Violation in Dalitz Studies of B (\& D \& \tau) Decays

    The `Miranda Procedure' proposed for analyzing Dalitz plots for CP asymmetries in charged B and D decays in a model-independent manner is extended and refined. The complexity of CKM CP phenomenology through order λ6\lambda^6 is needed in searches for New Dynamics (ND). Detailed analyses of three-body final states other great advantages: (i) They give us more powerful tools for deciding whether an observed CP asymmetry rep- resents the manifestation of ND and its features. (ii) Many advantages can already be obtained by the `Miranda Procedure' without construction of a detailed Dalitz plot de- scription. (iii) One studies CP asymmetries independent of production asymmetries. We illustrate the power of a second generation Miranda Procedure with examples with time integrated rates for Bd/BˉdB_d/\bar B_d decays to final states KSπ+π−K_S\pi+\pi- as trial runs with comments on B±→K±π+π−/K±K+K−B^{\pm} \to K^{\pm}\pi^+\pi^-/K^{\pm}K^+K^-.Comment: 29 pages, 7 figure

    CP asymmetry from hadronic charm rescattering in B± → π−π+π± decays at the high mass region

    A model for the B±→π−π+π±B^\pm \to \pi^-\pi^+\pi^\pm decay amplitude is proposed to study the large CP violation observed at the high mass region of the Dalitz plane. A short distance b→u b \to u amplitude with the weak phase γ\gamma is considered together with the contribution of a hadronic charm loop and a s-wave DDˉ→ππD\bar{D}\to \pi\pi rescattering. In the model, the χc0\chi_c^0 appears as a narrow resonant state of the DDˉD\bar D system below threshold. It is introduced in an unitary two channel S-matrix model of the coupled DDˉD\bar D and ππ\pi\pi channels, where the χc0\chi_c^0 complex pole in DDˉD\bar D channel shows its signature in the off-diagonal matrix element and in the associated DDˉ→ππD\bar{D}\to \pi\pi transition amplitude. The strong phase of the resulting decay amplitude has a sharp sign change at the DDˉD\bar D threshold, changing the sign of the CP asymmetry, as it is observed in the data. We conclude that the hadronic charm loop and rescattering mechanism are relevant to the broadening of the CP asymmetry around the χc0\chi_c^0 resonance in the ππ\pi\pi channel. This novel mechanism provides a possible interpretation of the CP asymmetry defier experimental result presented by the LHCb collaboration for the B±→π−π+π±B^\pm \to \pi^-\pi^+\pi^\pm decay in the high mass region
