Prototyping of an Ultrasonic Test Machine for Washing Fabrics

    No full text
This thesis, entitled Prototyping of an Ultrasonic Test Machine for Washing Fabrics, is a study of ultrasonic concept, and characterization of ultrasonic fabric cleaning using a test machine. Through characterization, a preliminary standard of ultrasonic cleaning for fabric was made. This would enable further research on the field of ultrasonic used for cleaning fabrics, focused on innovation and sustainability, which may be integrated to a washing machine and would be allow less or non-usage of detergents to clean fabrics

Design of a varying ultrasonic frequency amplifier

    No full text
Ultrasonic amplifiers are commonly used for different applications such as ultrasonic drilling, ultrasonic cleaning, and medical applications including cosmetics. This paper aims to design an ultrasonic amplifier with varying frequency that has a dual-ended output which minimizes equipment size, decreases power loss, increases efficiency, and increases its performance. This design of ultrasonic frequency amplifier will be used for ultrasonic cleaning of fabrics. The amplifier is composed of transformers, bridge rectifiers, signal generator and a driver circuit. The driver circuit is also composed of the pre-amplifier and the H-bridge. The H-bridge, which is a dual-ended output, is an electronic circuit which allows voltage to pass through a load in either direction. The output peak amplitude of the system is at 168V, whereby if an H-bridge is to be considered the total voltage it may supply to the system is 336V. The use of an H-bridge will enable efficient use of power for the system operation, decreasing power losses. The frequency output varies between 28 to 40 kHz. © 2012 IEEE
