La Alfabetización Cultural en la Educación de la Lengua Materna: una Investigación-Acción
The aim of the research is to relate the middle school students’ literacy skills to their basic language skills. The study was designed as an action research. The participants of the study are middle school students. The data collection tool consists of semi-structured interview form, semi-structured observation form, log form and activity files. The research process was carried out in three stages: cultural awareness, cultural diversity and cultural literacy. It was observed that participants cultural literacy skills developed at each stage. In addition, while performing basic language skills, they were found to be more effective at every stage. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the mother language education lesson can be associated with the learning outcome of cultural literacy skills and basic language skills.El objetivo de la investigación es relacionar las habilidades de alfabetización de los estudiantes de secundaria con sus habilidades básicas de lenguaje. El estudio fue diseñado como una investigación-acción. Los participantes del estudio son estudiantes de secundaria. La herramienta de recopilación de datos consta de un formulario de entrevista semiestructurada, un formulario de observación semiestructurada, un formulario de registro y archivos de actividades. El proceso de investigación se llevó a cabo en tres etapas: conciencia cultural, diversidad cultural y alfabetización cultural. Se observó que los participantes desarrollaron habilidades de alfabetización cultural en cada etapa. Además, al realizar las habilidades básicas del lenguaje, se encontró que eran más efectivas en cada etapa. Sobre la base de los resultados del estudio, se concluye que la lección de educación de la lengua materna se puede asociar con el resultado de aprendizaje de las habilidades de alfabetización cultural y las habilidades básicas del idioma
Effective Use of Solar Energy with BIM Supported Parametric Methods: Case Study Al-Shaab Stadium
In this study, it is aimed to create an infrastructure that can contribute to the integration of parametric techniques and the joint work of construction and architectural science through an exemplary building design. The ability to respond to changes in data entry in algorithms gives architectural designers the opportunity to optimize structures and form at the same time. At the same time, replacing inputs with parametric techniques saves time in the design process. Otherwise, the design will have to be redesigned from the beginning, depending on the periodic change made in the design. In addition to this, it has been emphasized to build a building design and structure that will provide energy efficiency. In order to create low cost in profit-cost ratios, the possibility of minimizing the inefficient surfaces with the design method by analysing the floats with maximum energy gain due to creating solar plans. The algorithmic design used for this is modelled on the visual and optimizes the geometry to achieve maximum energy efficiency for the building form. To find solar panels suitable for the building geometry design, there is a need to model the actual effect of the sun's rays on the building. One of the key parameters that helped us reach the results of the study is to explore the possibility of using modern guidelines of exemplified stadium designs. This research is based on a method of comparing analysis between two prototype proposals tested to show the effect of the sun on geometry using parametric algorithms. In this case, "Grasshopper 3D" software was used for radiation, daylight hours and shadows to create parametric algorithms in the solar effect simulations process. The purpose of using parametric simulation was to increase energy efficiency for the stadium. Additionally, generative design was used for structural optimization. In this study, generative design was also used to optimize the stadium design structure, which helps to significantly reduce the amount of materials used in the formation of the structure and its costs. In this study, with the help of the Buiding Information Modelling (BIM) program used, solar energy gains affecting the building were investigated and energy gain-loss calculations were made by using environmental data. FEASIBILITY OF NEARLY-ZERO ENERGY BUILDING RETROFITS BY USING RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES IN AN EDUCATIONAL BUILDING
Dissemination of education is vital especially in developing countries like Turkey. Besides, proper use of energy resources is required while dissemination of education is ensured. Considering the regions where energy is limited, renewable energy sources should be used to achieve the goal of a zero-energy building. Moreover, an increase of smart technologies has potantial in order to decrease energy consumption in educational buildings. This paper aims to investigate renewable energy sources to decrease energy consumption to achieve nearly-zero energy building goal by implementing different energy efficient retrofitting scenarios. The retroffitting scenarios are based on renewable energy sources and are presented for an educational building located in Ankara-Turkey, through a Building Energy Simulation Tool, Design Builder Software. In order to develop an accurate model, educational building is monitored and the model is calibrated. Then, various energy efficient retrofitting scenarios are defined such as implementing PV panels, solar collectors and adding wind turbines for electricity generation
