Finalmente, se comentan los resultados obtenidos y se extraen las conclusiones pertinentes.______________________________In order to build the foundations for further implementation of a program of
vocational guidance, both in the Bachelor of Industrial Relations in the Bachelor
of Science Labour, we made a study with a large sample consisting of the entire
student body he had completed one of these two studies, or both, in our center
(Faculty of Labour Science of the University of Valladolid, Palencia Campus)
over the past three years. This work includes the administration of a questionnaire
which, in addition to a number of items of type sociodemographic, there were
others who wondered what our ex students on curriculum and sent on possible
shortcomings there of. They were also asked what they would add or remove of
the curriculum towards achieving a more complete training, training, on the
other hand, they provide a more successful job search in the labour market.
Finally, we discussed the results and drew out the appropriate conclusions
Dielectric susceptibility of the Coulomb-glass
We derive a microscopic expression for the dielectric susceptibility X of a Coulomb glass, which corresponds to the definition used in classical electrodynamics,
the derivative of the polarization with respect to the electric field. The fluctuation–dissipation theorem tells us that is a function of the thermal fluctuations of the dipole moment of the system. We calculate X numerically for three–dimensional Coulomb glasses as a function of temperature
and frequency. We acknowledge financial support from the DGES project number PB96-1118, SMWK,

Levels and congeners distribution of dioxins, furans and dioxin-like PCBs in buffaloes adipose tissues sampled in vivo and milk
The levels of PCDDs, PCDFs and DL-PCBs were analyzed both in milk and adipose tissues sampled "in vivo" from lactating, drying off and heifer buffaloes from a Campania farm which had been impounded by the competent authority owing to the high dioxin levels found in bulk milk. The chemical determination was carried out by HRGC-HRMS using US EPA Method 1613b. The range of WHO-TEQ values for the PCDDs/PCDFs in adipose tissues was 1.79 to 68.64 pg g−1 fat and in milk was 8.33 to 13.95 pg g−1 fat. The contamination profile for dioxins and furans was given by 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD; 2,3,4,7,8-PeCDF; 1,2,3,6,7,8-HxCDD and 2,3,7,8-TCDD. The levels of DL-PCBs in adipose tissue varied from 1.38 to 20.13 pg g−1 fat while ranged from 8.33 to 13.95 pg g−1 fat in milk. The pattern of DL-PCBs in both matrices was dominated by congeners PCB 126 and PCB 169
A Borehole Muon Telescope for Underground Muography
Radiographic imaging with muons by absorption, also called Muon Radiography or Muography, is a methodology based on the characteristic of the matter to be crossed by high energy muons. This physical
property allows muons to pass through the material with a measurable degree of absorption depending on the density of the material. Muon Radiography applies to several different situations and is particularly suitable for investigating subsoil of civil or archaeological interest. This kind of applications needs the muon detector to be installed below the target region. A novel borehole cylindrical detector has been built and tested for use in harsh conditions and for limited space installations. It is based on the past expertise with scintillator detectors and is composed of two types of scintillating elements, bar-shaped and arcshaped. Due to its size, it can be easily installed in drilled holes of 25 cm in diameter or more, typically economical to make. Here, we describe the idea, commissioning, and some preliminary results
Concentration of glutathione and expression of glutathione peroxidases 1 and 4 in fresh sperm provide a forecast of the outcome of cryopreservation of human spermatozoa
Oxidative stress imbalance potentially leads to damage of the structure of the cell and macromolecules such as plasma membrane components, proteins, and DNA. The plasma membrane of the sperm cell, which has high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids, renders it particularly sensitive to free radical–mediated attacks. The freezing and subsequent thawing of sperm is a physically stressful process carried out during routine procedures in assisted reproduction techniques, which results in a highly variable and unpredictable reduction in the number of motile sperm cells. Subsequently, oxidative status can positively or negatively affect the motility, viability, and fertilizing capacity of thawed sperm. These effects are counteracted by various oxidative defense enzymes and anti-oxidants such as glutathione peroxidase isoforms GPx1 and GPx4, glutathione reductase (GR), and cellular glutathione (reduced) (GSH). In this way, oxidative status could represent a predictive marker of sperm quality following the freeze-thaw process. This study was based on 56 human sperm samples. We observed direct positive and negative relationships between the postthaw motile sperm recovery rate and GPx1 and GPx4 expression and activity, on the one hand, and GSH concentrations, on the other. No correlation was found between this recovery rate and GR or basic semen parameters. Predictive values clearly demonstrate that, among the molecules analyzed, the most accurate diagnoses result when analyses are conducted for GPx1 and GPx1 messenger RNA expression, GPx1 and GPx4 enzymatic activity, and GSH concentration. In conclusion, a reserve of glutathione, together with GPx expression, is necessary to eliminate free radicals using GSH or a like structural protein and seems to be essential for a good postthaw recovery. These molecules can be employed as indicators of postthaw sperm quality.Meseguer Anastasio, Manuel Francisco, [email protected] ; Simon Valles, Carlos Antonio, [email protected] ; Remohi Gimenez, Jose Alejandro, [email protected]
Physicochemical and Functional Properties of Active Fish Gelatin-Based Edible Films Added with Aloe Vera Gel
Edible films based on the addition of Aloe Vera gel (AV) into fish gelatin (FG) with antimicrobial and functional properties for food packaging applications were proposed in this work. AV showed an amphiphilic nature by infrared spectroscopy, high total phenolics content (TPC), antioxidant activity and thermal stability with an initial degradation temperature of 174 ± 2 °C. Mannose and glucose were quantified as main monosaccharides whereas the linkage composition study confirmed the presence of acemannan as main active polysaccharide. Three different formulations were obtained by the casting technique and the addition of AV contents of 0, 1 and 4 wt.% to FG, showing films with 4 wt.% of AV the best performance. The addition of AV did not significantly affect mechanical and barrier properties to oxygen and water vapour. However, some structural changes were observed by infrared spectroscopy and the obtained glass transition temperature values due to intermolecular interactions that increased the hydrophilicity and solubility of the resulting FG/AV films. A higher thermal stability was observed in films with AV content increasing the initial degradation and oxidation onset temperatures. An antimicrobial activity against S. aureus was also observed for FG/AV films. The addition of AV into FG could be proposed as a potential effective material to increase the postharvest quality of packed fruits and vegetables by retarding the microbial growth and extending the shelf-life of these food products. This research was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MAT2017-84909-C2-1-R) and Generalitat Valenciana (IDIFEDER/2018/007)
