User concerns about Facebook: Are they important
Previous studies investigated various issues and concerns related to Facebook, but lacks to compare between the importance of these concerns. This study contributes in filling this research gap by (i) consolidating the key issues and concerns and confirming their importance to Facebook users, (ii) examining the relative importance ranking of these issues and concerns, and (iii) answering the question of why people keep using Facebook despite of all the concerns and issues. To fulfil the requirements of the examination, a mixed method research approach was carried out. A Web-based questionnaire was first rolled out on Facebook to solicit the needed responses from its users. The analysis results statistically verified the importance of all the issues and concerns albeit being perceived differently in importance. Privacy concerns were rated the highest among all the issues, whereas issues related to the design aspects were rated the lowest. An open-ended question followed the questionnaire, and the qualitative analysis of its replies confirmed that Facebook is an indispensable global channel of communication that cannot be easily ignored and, with the nonexistence of a better alternative, the benefits of keep using Facebook way overshadow any issues users perceive about it
The Impact of Neuro Linguistic Programming on Employees’ Performance:An Experimental Study in Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Industrial Estate-Jordan
This study investigates the impact of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) on employees performance, using the experimental approach in Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Industrial Estates. The focus is on behavioral-based performance through four dimensions: self-efficacy, communication skills, problem-solving skills and the employees productivity. The sample consists of (44) employees from different departments distributed randomly into two groups. The first group (experimental) has attended the NLP training program introduced by a qualified specialist in this field, and the second group represents the control group. Leven test is used to verify variance homogeneity between groups. Pre-test and post-test are adopted by distributing questionnaires to the managers at two different time periods. Independent and paired- sample T-test are applied on both groups to measure the differences between the pre-and post-tests using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 17. The findings show that there are statistical significant differences between the means of experimental group (3.43) and control group (2.68) in favor of the experimental group, which enhances the result that there is a positive impact of the NLP on employees performance. Based on the research findings and conclusions, a number of recommendations and future research suggestions are proposed
Wideband impedance-varying n-way wilkinson power divider/combiner for rf power amplifiers
We propose a compact wideband multi-way power divider/combiner with planar structure for applications to RF power amplifiers (PAs). Uniform transmission lines in the conventional divider are replaced with non-uniform transmission lines (NTLs), which are governed by a truncated Fourier series. An optimization-driven framework is employed in even-mode analysis to obtain the coefficients of the NTLs considering predefined operating bands, whereas three isolation resistors are optimized in the odd-mode analysis to achieve optimal isolation and output port matching over the design bandwidth. For verification purposes, a 4–10 GHz 3-way divider is simulated, and measured. Simulations and measurements are in close proximity and show input/output ports matching of better than –10 dB and transmission of –4.9 ±1 dB across the design bandwidth
