Material flow enhancement in production assembly lines under application of zoned order picking systems
Introduced research work relates to the possibility of material flow enhancement in production systems, with the apostrophe on material order picking in production assembly lines. The paper presents basic rules and the results related to formed computer models of zoned order picking systems under the application of developed bound cavities method
The influence of mixing water and abrasives on the quality of machined surface
This paper shows the impact of mixing water and abrasives in water jet cutting process on the quality of the machined surface. The tests were done with polymer material SIPAS, where the influence of cutting parameters was researched (cutting pressure, cutting feed and abrasive mass flow). The surface roughness was measured on several zones, regarding the depth of materials, because the roughness is increased with the material thickness
Load capacity of hardened gear wheels machined with cubic boron nitride (CBN) wedges
The paper presents the results of exploitation examination of gear wheels with hardened bearing surface. The gears under investigation have been finish machined by the method elaborated by the author, with a tool possessing wedges made of CBN (cubic boron nitride). The symptoms of tooth surface wear having arisen during operation on the test rig with power loop. Assessment of the gear wheelsā capacity of carrying loads under EHL (ElastoHydrodynamic Lubrication) conditions has been performed
Application of water jetfor cutting polymer materials
Due to the nature of polymeric materials, during thermal cutting processes it leads to their melting, and therefore appear errors in the final product. This paper presents a ācoldā process of cutting polyamide 6 ie. SIPAS 60, where there are given the characteristics of materials and guidelines for satisfactory quality of process. The authors made the cut experiment 32 were they changed the cutting parameters (cutting pressure, cutting feed and abrasive mass flow); the surface roughness was measured by the depth of material, because the roughness changes with the thickness of the material to be cut
Analize naprezanja i pomaka suvremenog postolja tokarilice metodom konaÄnih elemenata (MKE)
The Finite element method (FEM) was used in this study for the analysis of the strain and stress of a turning machine body. The final design decisions were made on the basis of stress and displacement field analysis of various design versions related to the structure of the considered machine tool. The results presented in this paper will be helpful for practical static and dynamic strength evaluation as well as for the appropriate design of machine tools using the FEM.Metoda konaÄnih elemenata (MKE) je primjenjena za analizu deformacija i naprezanja postolja stroja.
Flank wear and surface roughness in end milling of hardened steel
This study examines flank wear and surface ruoghness in up and down hard end milling. After obtaining the mathematical models, it has been carried out a series of numerical simulations with variation of input parameters in order to analyze their influence on flank wear and surface roughness. Additionally, flank wear and surface roughness has been analysed in correlation with the volume of the removed material for different cutting parameters. Observed from the viewpoint of machinability, down hard milling is favorable compared to the up hard milling
