Informacionistas de pesquisa: oportunidades para bibliotecários na era do Big Data

    Get PDF
This work identifies, characterizes and analyzes the competencies, knowledge and skills required for the performance of health science librarians as research informationists. This research has the following guiding question: How can the researcher contribute to the development of data search and dissemination strategies in the area of Health Sciences in Brazil? It develops a quasi-systematic review. The study is characterized as bibliographic, as to the means; and exploratory-descriptive, with regard to its objective. A qualitative approach is used for data analysis and demonstration of results. It presents the research informationist concept, its competencies, attributions and, at the same time, its contributions to the data management process in the big data era. It concludes that Brazilian librarians should seek an adaptation of their training in order to take advantage of the new opportunities that will be placed, including for the greater valorization of the profession and the creation of a bond of trust and partnership between librarians and researchers

Sistema de Informação da Melhor Idade - SIMI: uma proposta de aplicativo para a promoção da saúde na terceira idade.

    Get PDF

The LHCb VELO Upgrade module construction

    Get PDF
The LHCb detector has undergone a major upgrade for LHC Run 3. This Upgrade I detector facilitates operation at higher luminosity and utilises full-detector information at the LHC collision rate, critically including the use of vertex information. A new vertex locator system, the VELO Upgrade, has been constructed. The core element of the new VELO are the double-sided pixelated hybrid silicon detector modules which operate in vacuum close to the LHC beam in a high radiation environment. The construction and quality assurance tests of these modules are described in this paper. The modules incorporate 200 μm thick, n-on-p silicon sensors bump-bonded to 130 nm technology ASICs. These are attached with high precision to a silicon microchannel substrate that uses evaporative CO2 cooling. The ASICs are controlled and read out with flexible printed circuits that are glued to the substrate and wire-bonded to the chips. The mechanical support of the module is given by a carbon fibre plate, two carbon fibre rods and an aluminium plate. The sensor attachment was achieved with an average precision of 21 μm, more than 99.5% of all pixels are fully functional, and a thermal figure of merit of 3 Kcm2W-1 was achieved. The production of the modules was successfully completed in 2021, with the final assembly and installation completed in time for data taking in 2022

    Observation of the Decay Λ0b→Λ+cτ−¯ν

The first observation of the semileptonic b-baryon decay Λb0→Λc+τ-ν¯τ, with a significance of 6.1σ, is reported using a data sample corresponding to 3 fb-1 of integrated luminosity, collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV at the LHC. The τ- lepton is reconstructed in the hadronic decay to three charged pions. The ratio K=B(Λb0→Λc+τ-ν¯τ)/B(Λb0→Λc+π-π+π-) is measured to be 2.46±0.27±0.40, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The branching fraction B(Λb0→Λc+τ-ν¯τ)=(1.50±0.16±0.25±0.23)% is obtained, where the third uncertainty is from the external branching fraction of the normalization channel Λb0→Λc+π-π+π-. The ratio of semileptonic branching fractions R(Λc+)B(Λb0→Λc+τ-ν¯τ)/B(Λb0→Λc+μ-ν¯μ) is derived to be 0.242±0.026±0.040±0.059, where the external branching fraction uncertainty from the channel Λb0→Λc+μ-ν¯μ contributes to the last term. This result is in agreement with the standard model prediction

Observation of the doubly charmed baryon decay Ξcc++→Ξc′+π+

    Get PDF
The Ξcc++→Ξc′+π+ decay is observed using proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb−1. The Ξcc++→Ξc′+π+ decay is reconstructed partially, where the photon from the Ξc′+→Ξc+γ decay is not reconstructed and the pK−π+ final state of the Ξc+ baryon is employed. The Ξcc++→Ξc′+π+branching fraction relative to that of the Ξcc++→Ξc+π+ decay is measured to be 1.41 ± 0.17 ± 0.10, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. Angular analysis of D0π+πμ+μD^0 \to \pi^+\pi^-\mu^+\mu^- and D0K+Kμ+μD^0 \to K^+K^-\mu^+\mu^- decays and search for CPCP violation

    Get PDF
The first full angular analysis and an updated measurement of the decay-rate CPCP asymmetry of the D0π+πμ+μD^0 \to \pi^+\pi^-\mu^+\mu^- and D0K+Kμ+μD^0 \to K^+K^-\mu^+\mu^- decays are reported. The analysis uses proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb1^{-1}. The full set of CPCP-averaged angular observables and their CPCP asymmetries are measured as a function of the dimuon invariant mass. The results are consistent with expectations from the standard model and with CPCP symmetry.Comment: All figures and tables, along with any supplementary material and additional information, are available at https://cern.ch/lhcbproject/Publications/p/LHCb-PAPER-2021-035.html (LHCb public pages

Study of charmonium and charmonium-like contributions in B+ → J/ψηK+ decays

    Get PDF
A study of B+→ J/ψηK+ decays, followed by J/ψ → μ+μ− and η → γγ, is performed using a dataset collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1. The J/ψη mass spectrum is investigated for contributions from charmonia and charmonium-like states. Evidence is found for the B+→ (ψ2(3823) → J/ψη)K+ and B+→ (ψ(4040) → J/ψη)K+ decays with significance of 3.4 and 4.7 standard deviations, respectively. This constitutes the first evidence for the ψ2(3823) → J/ψη decay
