Educational activities using the piano are performed in the kindergarten and the nursery. Therefore, it is necessary for preschool educators to improve their piano skills. In this study, we investigated the result of the piano grade system for the past five years in order to enrich future lessons. Consequently, improvement in a student\u27s piano capability was found. Moreover, piano instruction in which etudes are carefully selected should be a requirement from this time on

It is important for workers at nursing stations to have insight into the development of children, especially at their very early life stage, because, in general, the nursing station offers children the first occasion to make continuous communication with non-family members, and it is vital for children to be given practical and efficient opportunities to nourish verbal and physical communication skills with workers\u27 aides. Therefore, we conducted a study on the development of 30 Children (0~3y. o.) at S nursing station, by applying Tsumori-Inage methods (filling "Nyuuyouji-seishinhattatsu-shitsumonshi" on their own birthday) and by making weekly observations to describe their deveropment through I to V stages. Distinct developmental changes in this exercise could be observed. Workers got more and more enpathetic in their verbal communication by talking and singing with the children, and communicated more about the language of the children with their parent (s) through memos. It is most important for nursery teachers not only to understand the deveropmental stages of children but also to observe children empathetically and try to understand their children\u27s behavior. Put at the end as an "acknowledgment" Finally, I would like thank the children at S nursing station from April 2001 to August 2002 and the workers at that station for this study

A questionnaire was conducted at nurseries/kindergartens in order to obtain further research materials for the purpose of realizing the ideal day nursery feeding. At the same time, the questionnaire was administered to parents with food allergic infants through interviews. As a result, it can be concluded that there is a difference in outlook between the parents and the nurseries/kindergartens, which has been allowed to develop from a lack of communication with each other. Some parents find it difficult to verbalize their opinions or expectations to the nurseries/kindergartens being afraid that the nurseries/kindergartens would take them only as their egotistic complaints

The nutrition condition of an inpatient is one of the fundamental points in determining his/her prognosis. Therefore, it is important to understand actual meal intake conditions, but it has proven difficult to actually define each patients maximum nutritional food requirements. Until recently, nutrition surveys relied on recording methods that are not very practical. In this study, the author investigated the effectiveness of combining a recording method with photographs of patient\u27s meals. Through photography, it was easier to calculate the quantity of food served, and it was even possible to use photographs for nutritional calculations. This method could be more helpful in more accurately calculating a patient\u27s actual food intake

The purpose of this paper is to propose an educational plan for students who should master trouble shooting skills. Recently, many students take subjects classified into a "Network Literacy" curriculum to learn network techniques and usage. Most of them don\u27t need long term mastering to send/receive e-mails and access web sites in this curriculum. However, they hardly can solve problems when an e-mail doesn\u27t reach them or they couldn\u27t access a certain webpage, since they don\u27t know how to deal with these troubles. Techniques required for solving troubles on a network are difficult, not only for novices but also to make it clearly understandable for experts. Based on this background, this paper proposes an educational method featuring practice with personal computers. Students can try to rewrite some onfiguration data on their server/client computers, and learn effects or rules from checking the change of network behavior. It doesn\u27t cause other troubles in the existing network in college, since the network used by students is separated logically from this existing one. In this paper, the environment for practicing, and teaching methods are discussed

The purpose of this study is to propose a method of problem-making for CAI systems which provides multiple-choice problems. CAI systems categorized in traditional-CAI have been widely used until now, since their algorithms are simple for teachers to make original materials by themselves, and they don\u27t need a particular user-interface such as a keyboard, and so on. However, most traditional-CAI systems can\u27t analyze students\u27 answers in detail to provide individual actions, since they generally provide multiple-choice problems and can\u27t receive enough information from students to diagnose mistakes and guide them individually. As a result, it is too difficult for systems to provide suitable problems to students individually. Based on this background, this paper proposes a method for choosing candidates to provide multiple-choice problems. To carry this out, the result of a paper-test which was given to the students in class was analyzed. In this paper, the results of the paper-test and proposing a method of problem-making are discussed
