Oxidant/Antioxidant Status, PON1 and ARES Activities, Trace Element Levels, and Histological Alterations in Sheep with Cystic Echinococcosis
Background: Total antioxidant status (TAS), total oxidant status (TOS) and oxidative stress index (OSI), nitric oxide (NO), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu) levels, paraoxonase (PON1), arylesterase (ARES) activities, and biochemical changes were studied on sheep with cystic echinococcosis.
Methods: The materials were taken from 2-3 yr old sheep slaughtered in Van Province, Turkey in 2017. Before the slaughter, blood samples were collected from the healthy sheep, while various organs of animals were examined for hydatid cysts after the slaughter. Thirty sheep were protoscolex positive, hydatic group, while 30 sheep that did not have any pathological lesions in organ examinations were accepted as the control group. TOS levels, PON1 and ARES activities, and Zn levels were determined by commercial kits, while Cu levels were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The collected data were then statistically analyzed.
Results: Serum TOS and OSI levels were significantly higher in sheep with cystic echinococcosis compared to the control group (P<0.001). TAS levels (P<0.01), PON1 and ARES activities, on the other hand, were significantly higher in control group compared to the cystic echinococcosis group (P<0.001). There were no significant differences in Zn, NO and Cu levels between the groups.
Conclusion: PON1 and ARES activities increased in sheep infected with cyst hydatid. The decline of antioxidant reserves in the metabolism results in excessive amounts of free radicals, along with alterations of the normal histological structure of the cystic organ and changes in trace element metabolism

The title compound, C18H23N2Si+·Cl−·H2O, was synthesized from 1-[(trimethylsilyl)methyl]benzimidazole and benzyl chloride in dimethylformamide. The benzimidazole ring system is approximately planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.022 (2) Å, and makes an angle of 74.80 (12)° with the phenyl ring. The crystal packing is stabilized by O—H⋯Cl, C—H⋯Cl, C—H⋯O and C—H⋯π interactions between symmetry-related molecules together with π–π stacking interactions between the imidazolium and benzene rings [centroid–centroid distance = 3.5690 (15) Å] and between the benzene rings [centroid–centroid distance = 3.7223 (14) Å]
The Effect of Curcumin on the Prevention of Myringosclerosis in Rats
Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate the preventative effect of oral curcumin (CMN) on myringosclerosis (MS) in an experimental rat model.Methods:The study included 21 female Wistar albino rats randomly separated into three groups. Group 1 was given no treatment (control group). In Group 2 and Group 3, the tympanic membrane (TM) was perforated using a sterile ear pick. The rats in Group 3 were administered oral CMN 200 mg/kg/day. All rats were sacrificed after 16 days. Otomicroscopic and histopathologic examinations were performed on the tympanic membranes.Results:Histopathologic examinations revealed that there were statistically significant differences between Group 2 and Group 3 in terms of MS degrees (p<0.001) and mean thicknesses of TMs (p<0.001), but there were no differences between Group 1 and Group 3. In respect of MS detected by otomicroscopy, a statistically significant difference was determined between Groups 1 and 2 (p<0.001) and between Groups 2 and 3 (p<0.01), but there was no significant difference between Group 1 and Group 3 (p=0.575).Conclusion:Orally administered CMN can prevent myringosclerosis formation in experimentally induced myringotomies

Cost analysis of single jersey fabric produced from open-end rotor yarns
Bir ürün ya da hizmetin maliyetinin belirlenebilmesi için öncelikle üretim sırasında meydana gelen giderlerin belirlenmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada elyaftan örme kumaş olana kadar üretimi gerçekleştirilen son ürünün her aşamasında meydana gelen maliyet unsurları incelenerek analiz edilmiştir. Iplik ve örme proseslerinde hammadde, işçilik, enerji, amortisman, tamir bakım ve diğer maliyetler formülize edilerek hesaplanmıştır. Çalışmada, aynı numarada farklı düze tipleri kullanılarak %100 Urfa pamuğundan aynı şartlarda elde edilmiş Ne 30/1 open-end rotor ipliklerinden makine üzeri ayarlanabilen beş farklı ilmek iplik uzunluğunda ham süprem kumaşlar üretilmiştir. Kumaş üretimi makine inceliği 28 fain, çapı 32 inç olan Mayer&Cie Relanit 3.2 tek plaka yuvarlak örme makinesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Buna göre bir kg open-end rotor ipliği ve bir kg süprem ham örme kumaş için maliyet analizi yapılmıştır[1]. Araştırmanın yapıldığı dönemdeki fiyatlar ve araştırmanın gerçekleştirildiği işletmenin koşulları dikkate alınarak Ne 30 open-end rotor ipliğinin maliyetinin yaklaşık 4,32 tl kg ve bu iplikten üretilen bir kg süprem kumaşın maliyetinin yaklaşık 4,70 tl kg olduğu belirlenmiştir.In order to determine the cost of necessary goods or services, it is essential to determine the production costs. In this study the cost parameters of a final product during the manufacture from the fibre to the knitted fabric are examined and analyzed separately for each production process. Spinning, knitting, and dying processes, raw materials, labor, energy, amortisation, maintenance and other costs were computed by formulations. Single jersey knitted fabrics made from OE rotor spun yarns were considered. The yarns having the same counts as Ne 30/1 were manufactured by different nozzle types using 100% cotton of Urfa region, Turkey All production activities have been realized under the same mill conditions. Fabric productions were realized using a 28 fine, 32 inch diameter single plated Mayer & Cie. Relanit 3.2 circular knitting machine. As a result, the cost analysis was carried out to produce one kilo of open-end rotor yarn and raw single jersey fabrics [1]. And it was found that the open-end rotor yarn of Ne 30 would cost around 4.32 tl kg and jersey fabric produced from that yarn would cost around 4.70 tl kg
Weft elastane weaving and fabric characteristics
Bu çalışmada atkı sıklığı, atkı iplik numarası ve doku tipinin kumaşın fiziksel ve mekanik özelliklerine olan etkisi deneysel ve istatistiksel olarak araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, iki farklı atkı, yedi farklı doku tipi ve dört farklı atkı sıklığında kumaşlar dokunmuştur. Dokunan kumaşlara fiziksel ve mekanik kumaş testleri uygulanmıştır. Böylece, bu çalışmanın temelini oluşturan kumaş özellikleri ve doku parametreleri arasındaki ilişki belirlenmiştir. İstatistiksel değerlendirmeler, Design-Expert 6.0.1 paket programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Doku tipi, atkı iplik numarası ve atkı sıklığının kumaş özelliklerine etkisini araştırabilmek için varyans ve regrasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışma bulguları ve değerlendirmeler makale içeriğinde detayları ile verilmektedir.In this study, the effect of weft density, weft number and weave type on physical and mechanical properties of fabric have been investigated. For this purpose, the fabrics were woven in seven different pattern constructions with four different weft densities using two different weft in count. Hence, the relationship between the fabric characteristics and weaving parameters determined has been given on the base of this study. Statistical analysis was made by using Design-Expert 6.0.1 package programme. The effect of the factors, weave type, weft number and weft density has been investigated by using varyans and regression analysis. Choosing the process temperatures for PET yarn production by false twist texturing method
Bu çalışmada PET ipliklerinin yalancı büküm tekstüre yöntemi ile tekstüre edilirken ısı set değerlerinin proses stabilitesi ve iplik özelliklerine etkisi üzerine değinilmiştir. Öncelikle PET ipliğin ısıl davranışlarına konsantre olunmuş ve bu faktörler DupontSA/Adana'da yapılan ısı denemeleriyle ortaya çıkan ısısal değişim-gerginlik ve ısısal değişim-fiziksel özellikler değişimi sonuçlarına göre değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaçla farklı ısı set değerlerinde PET iplik numuneleri yapılarak deneysel ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çalışma ile hedeflenen ana amaç, tekstüre prosesindeki stabiliteye ısının etkisini ortaya koymak ve optimizasyon açısından iyi sonuçlar verecek yaklaşımları elde edebilmektir.In this study, the heater temperature that effect the performance of the product on poliester yarn promotion by false twist texturing method and that of the process stability was evaluated Firstly it was concentrated on thermal treatment of PET yarn, and the factors were evaluated according to that-tension and heat-product performance results. Therefore, the experimental results were brought out by producing PET yarn specimens. Through this work, the main goal was to point out the effect of the heater temperature on the process stability and having the best approaching for optimization purpose
Devoloping asoftware to calculate the unit cost of the double-fleece knitted fabric
Ticari faaliyet gösteren bir işletmenin piyasa şartlarında varlığını sürdürebilmesi için üretmiş olduğu veya icaretini sürdürdüğü ürününün birim maliyetini bilmesi gerekir. Birim maliyete etki eden direk ve direk olmayan unsurlar vardır. Bir örme işletmesinde birim maliyete etki eden unsurlar hammadde, enerji, işçilik, amortisman, ba- kım ve terbiye maliyetleridir. Birim zamanda üretilecek örmekumaş miktarı, ürünün desenine, özelliklerine, kullanı- an iplik özelliklerine, terbiye işlemlerinin çeşitlerine ve kullanılacak makineye göre değişim gösterir. Bu çalışmada genellikle serbest zaman giysilerini üretmek için kullanılan iki iplikli (astarlı/fleece)ve elastanlı örme kumaşların birim maliyetini saniyeler içinde yapabilen bir maliyet hesaplayıcısı tasarlanmıştır. Bu hesaplayıcı yazılımın arayüzü Delphi 7 programlama dilinde Windows’a uyumlu olarak yazılmıştır. Çalışmada sunulan yazılımın örme kumaş üretiminde çalışan sanayiciler ve akademisyenler açısından faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.A commercial company should know the cost of a product which is produced by them to keep up their position in the market. There are elements that affect cost directly or indirectly. The direct elements, which affect cost in a knitting mill, are raw material cost, labor cost, energy cost, amortisation cost, fixation cost and treatment cost. The amount of knitted fabric which is produced in determined time depends on the fabric pattern, properties, yarn, finishing process and knitting machine. In this study, a cost calculater was designed that calculates in a few seconds the unit cost of the double-fleece knitted fabric which are generally used as leisure time garments. The interface of this software was carried out with computing lingo Delphi 7 to be computable with Windows operating system as well. It is thought that, the designed software should be useful to the industrialists and academics which work on knitting
Two-degrees-of-freedom PID controller for AC/DC converters

The presented scheme is based on voltage oriented (flux), which is realized on unity power factor (UPF) working and lower total harmonic distortion. Also, the 2DOF controller proposed is utilized in the outer loop owing to its high performance in set-point tracking and robustness to load changes. The proposed approach can be utilized in industrial plants in need of DC voltage alongside the advantage of UPF working. The time-domain performance of our proposal is analyzed carefully and the results are presented in Matlab/Simulink environment. © 2019 IEEE
