Karakter suatu bangsa mengakar dalam sejarahnya. Terbentuknya sebuah bangsa (nation-formation) dapat dijelaskan melalui sejarah. Oleh karena itu, melek sejarah (kecakapan dalam memahami sejarah) bagi generasi penerus berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan dan menguatkan karakter dan identitas bangsa; melek sejarah juga mengokohkan integrasi bangsa dan wilayah Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.</p

The Role of Personal, Social and Religious Resources in Caregiving Stress

This study puts personal, social, and religious resources as a stress buffer for caregivers. The limitation of personal, social, religious resources have a detrimental effect on the mental health of caregivers of a family member with schizophrenia (hereinafter referred to as People with Schizophrenia, or PwS). Following the caregiving stress process theory, this study aims to clarify not only the role of personal and social resources but also the religious ones. For this purpose, in-depth interviews with a life history method were done to twenty (20) caregivers of PwS. The result shows that personal resources like coping mechanism management (for example, by doing a positive comparison with others and reducing the expectations on the PwS) would help to perceive the role of a caregiver more positively. Meanwhile, social resources like social support were received by the caregivers from their significant others (family members) and similar others (support group). Social support was received in the form of emotional support, caregiving help, and instrumental aid. Religious resources in the form of religious coping were also used as a buffer for the stress that came from caregiving. This was done by positive religious coping, such as asking for help from God during difficult times, involving God in everything they do, and surrendering themselves to God to get the strength to face life problems. These three resources (personal, social, religious) were needed by the caregivers so they can preserve their mental health.</jats:p

Utilization of Andong Leaf Extract (Cordyline fruticosa) as an Alternative for Coloring the Eggs of Intestinal Nematode

Microscopic examination is essential to find the type of worm that causes infection. Direct examination of worm eggs needs to use staining to distinguish between worm eggs and food residues that are not completely digested. The dyes commonly used are synthetic. The purpose of this study was to replace synthetic dyes with natural dyes with Andong (Cordyline Fruticosa) leaf juice. It can be used as an alternative or a substitute for dyes. This research method is descriptive, conducted at the Parasitology Laboratory of Poltekkes Kemenkes Pontianak. The population in this study was the juice of the leaves of Andong (Cordyline Fruticosa). The method of inspection is direct preparation with an object glass as is routinely done, but the dye is replaced with Andong leaf juice (Cordyline Fruticosa). The results showed that natural dye Andong leaf juice (Cordyline Fruticosa), gave a clear color to the absorption of intestinal nematode worm eggs as the test target. This study concludes that the juice of the leaves of Andong (Cordyline Fruticosa) with alcohol solvent can be used as an alternative dye for the examination of intestinal nematode worm eggs.</jats:p

FAKTOR RESIKO KEJADIAN ANEMIA PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI MAS PP NURUDDIN

Anemia adalah suatu kondisi kekurangan jumlah sel darah merah atau hemoglobin darah di bawah normal. Salah satu masalah Gizi remaja putri di Asia Tenggara adalah anemia defisiensi zat besi yaitu kira-kira 25-40% remaja putri mengalami anemia tingkat ringan sampai berat. Faktor yang berpengaruh pada kejadian anemia adalah pengetahuan, lama menstruasi, dan pola konsumsi makanan. Dari studi pendahuluan bahwa MAS PP nuruddin tidak pernah di datangi oleh puskesmas untuk pemeriksaan kesehatan dan penyuluhan khususnya tentang anemia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di MAS PP Nuruddin Desa Sungai Sarik. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian adalah “cross sectional”. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh remaja putri, sampel sebanyak 30 orang dengan teknik sampling yaitu total sampling. Jenis data pada penelitian ini adalah data primer, dengan analisis data unvariat, bivariat dengan uji Chi Square. Hasil univariat didapatkan mayoritas remaja putri mengalami anemia sebanyak 19 orang (63,3%). Hasil bivariat ditemukan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan kejadian anemia pvalue (0,004&lt; 0,05), ada hubungan yang signifikan antara lama menstruasi dengan kejadian anemia pvalue (0,017&lt; 0,05), dan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola konsumsi makanan dengan kejadian anemia pvalue (0,011&lt; 0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa faktor resiko kejadian anemia pada remaja putri disebabkan oleh pengetahuan, lama menstruasi dan pola konsumsi makanan. Perlunya kerja sama antara sekolah dan pihak puskesmas untuk pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin khususnya pemeriksaan Hb dan Penyuluhan kesehatan pada remaja.&#x0D;  </jats:p

The problem of limited knowledge of partners about agreements or contracts in general, and in particular regarding the principle of good faith in business activities faced by business actors and company management, which generally consists of millennial youth, which can be said to be still lacking in understanding the principle of commitment well, as a guideline in carrying out the actions of a company, especially companies with legal entities, such as Limited Liability Companies, where PT Sarana PanganMadani, has established many partnerships, which of course must keep the relationship harmonious, sometimes the relationship is already running, due to limited knowledge, experience, there was a clash that would definitely hinder good relations, both parties, for example, at the beginning of the negotiation there was an agreement, which gave birth to a partnership to distribute the nine staples, but in its implementation, there were obstacles, which caused Due to the difference in prices, even though at the beginning of the negotiation the price was already agreed to, but there was a change, which was due to an increase in market prices or production prices, so that the price that was agreed upon earlier, of course changed, this change is a problem of misunderstanding between the two parties, according to Partners. PT Sarana PanganMadani, the company raised prices unilaterally, while from the PT stated that due to changes in market prices, this is one example which is a significant obstacle, resulting in inconsistencies in the development of partner businesses which are good business groups providing distribution of nine staples daily activities, as well as providing business capital to develop agricultural land, as well as services, ranging from basic materials to packaging ready to be marketed. In this community service program, the priority issue agreed upon by the PKM FH Unilak proposer together with his partner, PT Sarana PanganMadani, to be resolved is to provide understanding through legal counseling about the principles of good faith in cooperating with the business community. Thus, after the program is implemented, it is hoped that partners will gain a correct understanding and have knowledge of agreements or contracts in general, and in particular the principles of good faith in this partnership. The method that will be used in this community service is to use lectures that will be directly at the PT Sarana PanganMadani office.</jats:p
