Glycated Lysine Residues: A Marker for Non-Enzymatic Protein Glycation in Age-Related Diseases

Nonenzymatic glycosylation or glycation of macromolecules, especially proteins leading to their oxidation, play an important role in diseases. Glycation of proteins primarily results in the formation of an early stage and stable Amadori-lysine product which undergo further irreversible chemical reactions to form advanced glycation endproducts (AGEs). This review focuses these products in lysine rich proteins such as collagen and human serum albumin for their role in aging and age-related diseases. Antigenic characteristics of glycated lysine residues in proteins together with the presence of serum autoantibodies to the glycated lysine products and lysine-rich proteins in diabetes and arthritis patients indicates that these modified lysine residues may be a novel biomarker for protein glycation in aging and age-related diseases.</jats:p

إمكانية السياحة الحلال في بنغلاديش: التحديات والآفاق

ظهرت في الآونية الأخيرة السياحة الحلال كجزء من السياحة العالمية، التي تقوم على المبادئ الإسلامية والضوابط الشرعية، ولها أثر كبر ونفوذ واسعة النطاق يجب والعناية بها وأخيذهيا في عين الاعتبار؛ لأن السائحيين الحلال والمهتمين بها في البلدان الإسلامية وغر الإسلامية يزداد بسرعة. وتعد بنغلاديش واحدة من أكبر الدول التي تضم أكبر عدد من السكان المسلمين، وبالتالي فإن مواردها البشرية وجمالها الطبيعي وآثارها التراثية والإسلامية تتمتع بإمكانيات جيدة لتكون جز ًءا من صناعة السياحة الحلال. يهدف البحث تسليط الضوء على واقيع إمكانات السياحة الحلال في بنغلاديش لوجود في ربوعها العناصر الرئيسية للسياحة من جولات ورحيلات. كما نجحت بعض الدول الإسلامية مثل: ماليزيا والمملكة العربية السعودية وإيران وتركيا وغرها. وبالرغم من أن لديها فرص كبرة لتحسين هذا الاتجاه الجديد في السياحة الإسلامية، غر أن هناك العقبات الداخلية والخارجية التي تتحدى لتطبيقها وتطويرها في البلاد. واتبع البحث منهجا وصفياً، حيث تم تجميع المعلومات والبيانات من الكتب والمقالات والصحف والمجلات المتعددة، ومن الهيئات العالمية ذات الصلة بالسياحة في بنغلاديش، مثل مجلس السياحة والسفر العالمي. ثم تم تحليل جميع البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها من مصادر ثانوية، وأخراً تم التوصل إلى استنتاج بعض التوصيات. فحاول البحث تقديم بعض الإجييراءات والتوصيات لتحسين جميع هذه الإمكانات بشكل جيد لتطوير السياحة الحلال في بنغلاديش لجذب السياح في السياحة الحلال من الدول الإسلامية وغر الإسلامية إليها. الكلمات المفتاحية: السياحة الحلال، إمكانيات، تحديات، بنغلاديش.</jats:p

Millennial Reaction towards Customer Attraction and Retention Strategies Adopted by Digital Payment/UPI Apps.

The digital payment/UPI transactions have seen tremendous growth in the last five years in India. Mobile penetration, data offers by telecoms and government initiatives such as Digital India are playing a catalyst role that leads to an exponential growth of digital/UPI payments. Millennial customers are generally known to be tech-savvy generation and sometimes categorize as innovators or early adopters generation, making the most use of digital/UPI payments at the point of sale (POS) for services and products. The structured questionnaire was used to collect data to understand the reasons for preferring digital payment/UPI apps over cash/card and to examine the reactions from millennial towards marketing strategies. Primary data was collected from 100 respondents in Hyderabad, India. The study found that millennial customers are very positive towards preferring digital payment/UPI apps over cash/card. ANOVA was used to analyze the responses, which indicate that there is no significant variance in consumer preference and reactions towards marketing strategies based on demographic factors.</jats:p

Effective Location of Shear Wall and Bracings for Multistoried Asymmetrical Building.

Earthquake happens all around the globe and it is a natural calamity and can occur across the world. It affects the structure by producing tough ground signals. To overwhelmed the Earthquake there is establishment of Shear wall and Bracing to increase the crosswise stiffness, ductility of the structure. To plan a building storey drift and crosswise displacement are crucial. The building is analyzed by Linear static and Linear dynamic method by E-tab software. In present paper G+25 multistoried building is analyzed by insertion of Shear wall and bracing at Corners, End and central core of the structure. The responses like Displacement, Storey drift, Time period and Base shear is calculated and equated.</jats:p
