Prospects for Higgs properties measurements at future colliders
The LHC Run-1 was very successful and included the discovery of a new
particle with mass of about 125 GeV compatible with the Higgs boson predicted
by the Standard Model. The prospects for Higgs physics at the high-luminosity
LHC and at future colliders are presented. In particular, the ultimate
precision attainable for the couplings measurements of the 125 GeV particle
with elementary fermions and bosons is discussed along with prospects for
self-coupling measurements, for the ATLAS and CMS detectors at the upgraded
LHC.Comment: Talk presented CIPANP2015. 8 pages, 4 figure
A Customer Service Design Case Study: Insights on Customer Loyalty in the Brazilian Food Sector
Marketing managers of local and international food companies have realized that what they offer to customers go well beyond the characteristics and attributes of the products their companies manufacture and market. Service has become an integral part of the offer (Grönroos, 1993); a high service quality improves the company competitiveness, builds customer trust, supports the company brand and other product attributes (Berry & Parasuraman, 1991, p. 12). This paper seeks to investigate whether customer care service perceived quality in the food sector is truly relevant to customer satisfaction and loyalty.quality service evaluation, consumer service, loyalty, food industry, Agribusiness, International Relations/Trade,
The Flexible Wing Project: Advanced Tailoring Strategies for Laminated Composite Materials Final Report
Manufacturers are beginning to consider the possibilities of moving away from traditional composite material designs but need further evidence that aero-elastically tailored composite materials can: produce weight savings; introduce aerodynamic efficiency and reduce manufacturing time without incurring cost penalties.
This research has developed advanced composite tailoring strategies using novel fibre reinforced architectures, with mechanical coupling properties that can be either maintained or tailored through a novel ply termination scheme to change the laminate thickness. Most importantly however, all designs possess immunity to thermal warping distortions; hence they can be manufactured to the desired shape using a high temperature curing system. The research results have been exploited by a leading Brazilian airframe manufacturer for preliminary design of a new aero-elastically tailored wing
