    Abstract: Reciprocal and Metacognitive Teaching Empowering Metacognitive Skills and Biology Learning Achievements of Junior High School Students. The study tries to reveal influence of the learning strategies toward metacognitive skills and biology learning; influence of academic capability toward metacognitive skills and learning; influence of academic capability and learning strategy interaction toward metacognitive skills and learning. Data was analyzed using ANCOVA. Results showed that strategy of RTM had significant influence in improving metacognitive skill of the students who had low and high academic capabilities. The study also found that the strategy would improve learning of the students who had high academic capabilities. Abstrak: Pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching dan Metakognitif (RTM) yang Memberdayakan Keterampilan Metakognitif dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa. Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini bertujuan mengungkap pengaruh strategi pembelajaran (RTM, RT, Konvensional) terhadap keterampilan metakognitif, dan hasil belajar biologi; pengaruh kemampuan akademik terhadap keterampilan metakognitif, dan hasil belajar; pengaruh interaksi strategi pembelajaran dan kemampuan akademik terhadap keterampilan metakognitif, dan hasil belajar. Rancangan “Pretest-postest Non-equivalent Control Group Design” versi faktorial 5 X 2. Data dianalisis dengan ANACOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi RTM memiliki pengaruh yang singnifikan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan metakognitif, hasil belajar siswa berkemampuan akademik rendah, dan tinggi. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan tersebut, maka secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) strategi RT+M, RT berpotensi meningkatkan keterampilan metakognitif, dan hasil belajar. 2) strategi pembelajaran RT+M, RT dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Sains Biologi  pada SMPN di Kota Manado

    The problem in learning Biology is the lack of attention and concentration of students in participating in the teaching and learning process on excretion system material. The learning outcomes of students whose proportion of arrests is only 60% 70% do not reach the predetermined minimum criteria. The use of learning media is still limited to power point so that students are less active. The inactivity of these students was because power point was not able to display three-dimensional images that could clarify excretory system material. So we need learning media in the form of videos. The purpose of this study is to develop learning video media by utilizing STEAM-based learning videos on excretion system material at SMA Negeri 1 Dumoga Timur. The method used is interactive multimedia development research as a learning medium. The results of the Assessment of Content/Material Experts have a proportion of the level of desire for Biological Learning Video Development products of 72%; and presented the results of the Learning Media Expert's Assessment of the level of biological learning video development product offerings, namely 80%

    This research aims to develop teachinf LKPD media on respiratory system material for class VIII junior high school in science subjects. The aim of this research is to develop student worksheets using a suitable project based learning model. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE development model following the research stages according to Dick and Carry, namely (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation.This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 8 Satap Tondano. This research instrument used a questionnaire consisting of a material expert questionnaire, a media expert questionnaire and a questionnaire for product trials (small groups). Based on the material expert questionnaire assessment of the developed LKPD, the assessment results were 78.33% and the media expert assessment was 93.75% in the very good category and suitable for use in the field. Then a small group trial consisting of 7 students at SMP Negeri 8 Satap Tondano obtained a result of 82.96%, so it can be concluded that the Student Worksheet product with the Project Based Learning model is suitable for use in the science learning process for junior high school students with system material human breathing
