Study Majorana Neutrino Contribution to B-meson Semi-leptonic Rare Decays
B meson semi-leptonic rare decays are sensitive to new physics beyond
standard model. We study the process and
investigate the Majorana neutrino contribution to its decay width. The
constraints on the Majorana neutrino mass and mixing parameter are obtained
from this decay channel with the latest LHCb data. Utilizing the best fit for
the parameters, we study the lepton number violating decay , and find its branching ratio is about
, which is consistent with the LHCb data reported recently.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure
A Multilayer Naïve Bayes Model for Analyzing User’s Retweeting Sentiment Tendency
Today microblogging has increasingly become a means of information diffusion via user’s retweeting behavior. Since retweeting content, as context information of microblogging, is an understanding of microblogging, hence, user’s retweeting sentiment tendency analysis has gradually become a hot research topic. Targeted at online microblogging, a dynamic social network, we investigate how to exploit dynamic retweeting sentiment features in retweeting sentiment tendency analysis. On the basis of time series of user’s network structure information and published text information, we first model dynamic retweeting sentiment features. Then we build Naïve Bayes models from profile-, relationship-, and emotion-based dimensions, respectively. Finally, we build a multilayer Naïve Bayes model based on multidimensional Naïve Bayes models to analyze user’s retweeting sentiment tendency towards a microblog. Experiments on real-world dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. Further experiments are conducted to understand the importance of dynamic retweeting sentiment features and temporal information in retweeting sentiment tendency analysis. What is more, we provide a new train of thought for retweeting sentiment tendency analysis in dynamic social networks
Robust output regulation of linear system subject to modeled and unmodeled uncertainty
In this paper, a novel robust output regulation control framework is proposed
for the system subject to noise, modeled disturbance and unmodeled disturbance
to seek tracking performance and robustness simultaneously. The output
regulation scheme is utilized in the framework to track the reference in the
presence of modeled disturbance, and the effect of unmodeled disturbance is
reduced by an compensator. The Kalman filter can be also
introduced in the stabilization loop to deal with the white noise. Furthermore,
the tracking error in the presence/absence of noise and disturbance is
estimated. The effectiveness and performance of our proposed control framework
is verified in the numerical example by applying in the Furuta Inverted
Pendulum system

Segmental abnormalities of superior longitudinal fasciculus microstructure in patients with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder: An automated fiber quantification tractography study
IntroductionSuperior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF) is a white matter (WM) tract that connects the frontal, parietal and temporal lobes. SLF integrity has been widely assessed in neuroimaging studies of psychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia (SZ), bipolar disorder (BD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, prior studies have revealed inconsistent findings and comparisons across disorders have not been fully examined.MethodsHere, we obtained data for 113 patients (38 patients with SZ, 40 with BD, 35 with ADHD) and 94 healthy controls from the UCLA Consortium for Neuropsychiatric Phenomic LA5c dataset. We assessed the integrity of 20 major WM tracts with a novel segmentation method by automating fiber tract quantification (AFQ). The AFQ divides each tract into 100 equal parts along the direction of travel, with fractional anisotropy (FA) of each part taken as a characteristic. Differences in FA among the four groups were examined.ResultsCompared to healthy controls, patients with SZ showed significantly lower FA in the second half (51–100 parts) of the SLF. No differences were found between BD and healthy controls, nor between ADHD and healthy controls. Results also demonstrated that patients with SZ showed FA reduction in the second half of the SLF relative to patients with BP. Moreover, greater FA in patients in SLF was positively correlated with the manic-hostility score of the Brief Psychiatry Rating scale.DiscussionThese findings indicated that differences in focal changes in SLF might be a key neurobiological abnormality contributing to characterization of these psychiatric disorders
In Vitro Activity of Plant Extracts and Alkaloids against Clinical Isolates of Extended-Spectrum b-Lactamase (ESBL)-Producing Strains
The antibacterial activity of 80% ethanol extracts of 10 medicinal plants collected in Yunnan (Southwest China), was tested against clinical isolates of extended-spectrum b-lactamase (ESBL)-producing strains. Their MIC values ranged between 1.56–12.50 mg/mL. The most active plant extract was Chelidonium majus L. (MIC = 1.56 mg/mL). Two potent isoquinoline alkaloids, 8-hydroxydihydrosanguinarine and 8-hydroxydihydrochelerythrine, were identified as the major active principles through bioassay-guided fractionation and identification of the active ethyl acetate fraction from C. majus, with minimum MIC/MBC values of 15.63/62.50 mg/mL
Implications of global carbon governance for corporate carbon emissions reduction
Global warming not only affects biodiversity, but also threatens human health and wellbeing. As the main source of greenhouse gas emissions, enterprises play a critical role in carbon emissions reduction. However, only a small number of enterprises have disclosed their “low-carbon transition roadmap”, primarily due to the lack of immediate payoffs of green investment, which is disadvantageous to achieve net-zero emissions. First, through case analysis of carbon governance in typical countries around the world, we identify effective emissions reduction measures that firms can learn from. Next, this paper summarizes the multi-dimensional impact framework of corporate carbon emissions reduction. Last, we propose a carbon emissions reduction roadmap for companies from four aspects: companies should 1) actively engage in the carbon emissions trading system, 2) increase the application of green technology, 3) enhance corporate governance structure, and 4) ensure sufficient cash flow for low-carbon transition. This study contributes to the framework of corporate sustainable transition, providing practical references for balancing corporate environmental footprint and value growth
Non-equilibrium surface diffusion in the O/W(110) system
In this Letter, we present results of an extensive Monte Carlo study of the
O/W(110) system under non-equilibrium conditions. We study the mean square
displacements and long wavelength density fluctuations of adatoms. From these
quantities, we define effective and time-dependent values for the collective
and tracer diffusion mobilities. These mobilities reduce to the usual diffusion
constants when equilibrium is reached. We discuss our results in view of
existing experimental measurements of effective diffusion barriers, and the
difficulties associated with interpreting non-equilibrium data.Comment: 14 pages LaTeX and five PostScript figures; tarred, gzip'ed, and
