Research on the Permeability and Earthquake Damage of an Earth Dam Foundation
The experiences on geological investigation, permeability test, prediction of seepage failure patterns and the earthquake damage of an earth dam foundation are presented in this paper. Basing on the monitoring data and seismic records observed from the seismic station on the dam, the prediction of reservoir induced earthquake and possibility of liquefaction are analysed
4-(4-Nitrostyryl)-N,N-diphenylaniline
In the triarylamine group of the title compound, C26H20N2O2, the N atom adopts an approximately trigonal–planar geometry, lying 0.046 (5) Å from the plane P defined by its three neighbouring C atoms; the benzene and two terminal phenyl rings are twisted by 37.4 (1), 31.4 (1) and 47.8 (1)°, respectively from plane P. In the trans-stilbene fragment, the two benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 31.3 (1)°. In the crystal, weak intermolecular C—H⋯O interactions link the molecules into ribbons in [100]

Factorization of the Two Loop Four-Particle Amplitude in Superstring Theory Revisited
We study in detail the factorization of the newly obtained two-loop
four-particle amplitude in superstring theory. In particular some missing
factors from the scalar correlators are obtained correctly, in comparing with a
previous study of the factorization in two-loop superstring theory. Some
details for the calculation of the factorization of the kinematic factor are
also presented.Comment: 11 pages, 1 figure; v2, minor corrections and references update
A peripherally inserted central vein catheter fractured and slid into the right pulmonary artery: A case report
AbstractCatheter fracture is a rare but serious complication of a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC). An adolescent patient was sent to Tianjin Medical University General Hospital (Tianjin, China) because the PICC was fractured when removed by a nurse. Chest X-ray showed that the PICC fragment slid into the right pulmonary artery. Through emergency surgery, the remainder of the PICC was successfully retrieved by an interventional operation percutaneously via the right femoral vein. PICC fracture is less common and always without significant discomfort if not found timely, and it may lead to serious complications, such as pulmonary embolism, and even death. Thus, nurses, patients and their family members should pay enough attention to the daily maintenance of PICC and have a deep understanding of the reasons associated with PICC fracture as well as how to prevent it. Interventional operation is minimally invasive, which is a good choice for the removal of intravascular foreign bodies, leading to fewer complications and a good prognosis
Empirical study on clique-degree distribution of networks
The community structure and motif-modular-network hierarchy are of great
importance for understanding the relationship between structures and functions.
In this paper, we investigate the distribution of clique-degree, which is an
extension of degree and can be used to measure the density of cliques in
networks. The empirical studies indicate the extensive existence of power-law
clique-degree distributions in various real networks, and the power-law
exponent decreases with the increasing of clique size.Comment: 9 figures, 4 page
