Application of ultrasonic inspection in monitoring dynamic healing of mandibular fracture in rabbit model
AbstractObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility of ultrasonic diagnosis for monitoring fracture healing.MethodsThirty rabbit models with fraction of mandible body were established by surgically removing partial lower jawbone. At the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 12th week after the operation, they were examined by X-ray and ultrasound, respectively. All detection results were scored according to a generally accepted standard. Spearman rank correlation analysis was conducted to explore the relationship between the results of the two inspection methods.ResultsIn each healing stage, the results of the ultrasonic inspection were basically consistent with those of the X-ray examination, as supported by a Spearman rank correlation coefficient of 0.892 (P<0.001).ConclusionsNon-invasive ultrasonic inspection can be used instead of X-ray examination to monitor and diagnose fracture healing
(Z)-Isobutyl 2-benzamido-3-(4-chlorophenyl)acrylate
The title compound, C20H20ClNO3, is a α-amino acid derivative which displays a Z configuration about the C=C double bond. The dihedral angle betwen the aromatic rings is 87.75 (12)°. The molecular conformation is stabilized by an intramolecular C—H⋯N hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetrically related molecules interact through intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen-bond interactions, forming dimers. The dimers are further linked into chains parallel to the a axis by N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The methyl groups of the isopropyl group are disordered over two positions with occupancy factors of 0.5
A bibliometric analysis of studies on the gut microbiota in cardiovascular disease from 2004 to 2022
BackgroundIncreasing evidence indicates that the gut microbiota (GM) is linked to cardiovascular disease (CVD). Many studies on the GM in CVD have been published in the last decade. However, bibliometric analysis in this field is still lacking.MethodsOn 30 September 2022, a search of the Web of Science™ (WoS; Clarivate™, Philadelphia, PA, USA) yielded 1,500 articles and reviews on the GM and CVD. Microsoft Excel and CiteSpace and VOSviewer software were used to analyze publication trends and research hotspots in this field.ResultsOur search generated 1,708 publications on the GM in CVD published between 2004 and 2022, and 1,500 articles and review papers were included in the final analysis. The number of publications relating to the GM in CVD increased from 1 in 2004 to 350 in 2021. China (485 publications, 9,728 non-self-citations, and an H-index of 47) and the USA (418 publications, 24,918 non-self-citations, and an H-index of 82) contributed 32.31%, and 27.85%, respectively, of the total number of publications. Examination of the number of publications (Np) and number of citations, excluding self-citations (Nc), of individual authors showed that Y. L. Tian (Np: 18, Nc: 262, and H-index: 12), from China, is the most productive author, followed by R. Knight (Np: 16, Nc: 3,036, and H-index: 15) and M. Nieuwdorp (Np: 16, Nc: 503, and H-index: 9). The Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College accounted for the largest number of publications (Np: 62, Nc: 3,727, and H-index: 13, average citation number (ACN): 60.11). The journal Nutrients had the most publications (Np: 73, Nc: 2,036, and ACN: 27.89). The emerging keywords in this field were “monooxygenase 3” (strength 3.24, 2020–2022), “short-chain fatty acid” (strength 4.63, 2021–2022), “fatty liver disease” (strength 3.18, 2021–2022), “metabolic disease” (strength 3.04, 2021–2022), “Mediterranean diet” (strength 2.95, 2021–2022), “prevention” (strength 2.77, 2021–2022), and “intestinal barrier” (strength 2.8, 2021–2022).ConclusionPublications on the GM in CVD rapidly increased in the last decade. The USA was the most influential country in publications in this field, followed by China. The journal with the most publications was Nutrients. Monooxygenase-3, short-chain fatty acids, fatty liver disease, metabolic disease, the Mediterranean diet, intestinal barrier, and prevention are the current hotspots or potential hotspots for future study
The evaluation of JAK inhibitors on effect and safety in alopecia areata: a systematic review and meta-analysis of 2018 patients
BackgroundJAK inhibitors treat various autoimmune diseases, but an updated systematic review in treating alopecia areata is currently lacking.ObjectiveEvaluate the specific efficacy and safety of JAK inhibitors in alopecia areata by systematic review and meta-analysis.MethodsEligible studies in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Clinical Trials up to May 30, 2022, were searched. We enrolled in randomized controlled trials and observational studies of applying JAK inhibitors in alopecia areata.Results6 randomized controlled trials with 1455 patients exhibited SALT50 (odd ratio [OR], 5.08; 95% confidence interval [CI], 3.49-7.38), SALT90 (OR, 7.40; 95% CI, 4.34-12.67) and change in SALT score (weighted mean difference [WSD], 5.55; 95% CI, 2.60-8.50) compared to the placebo. The proportion of 26 observational studies with 563 patients of SALT5 was 0.71(95% CI, 0.65-0.78), SALT50 was 0.54(95% CI 0.46-0.63), SALT90 was 0.33(95% CI, 0.24-0.42), and SALT score (WSD, -2.18; 95% CI, -3.12 to -1.23) compared with baseline. Any adverse effects occurred in 921 of 1508 patients; a total of 30 patients discontinued the trial owing to adverse reactions.LimitationsFew randomized controlled trials met the inclusion criteria and insufficiency of eligible data.ConclusionJAK inhibitors are effective in alopecia areata, although associated with an increased risk
The MALATANG Survey : The L GAS-L IR Correlation on Sub-kiloparsec Scale in Six Nearby Star-forming Galaxies as Traced by HCN J = 4 → 3 and HCO + J = 4 → 3
This is an author-created, un-copyedited version of an article published in The Astrophysical Journal. The Version of Record is available online at https://doi.org/10.3847/1538-4357/aac512.We present HCN J = 4→3 and HCO+ J = 4→3 maps of six nearby star-forming galaxies, NGC 253, NGC 1068, IC 342, M82, M83, and NGC 6946, obtained with the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope as part of the MALATANG survey. All galaxies were mapped in the central 2×2 region at 14 (FWHM) resolution (corresponding to linear scales of ∼0.2-1.0 kpc). The LIR-Ldense relation, where the dense gas is traced by the HCN J = 4→3 and the HCO+ J = 4→3 emission, measured in our sample of spatially resolved galaxies is found to follow the linear correlation established globally in galaxies within the scatter. We find that the luminosity ratio, LIR/Ldense, shows systematic variations with LIR within individual spatially resolved galaxies, whereas the galaxy-integrated ratios vary little. A rising trend is also found between LIR/Ldense ratio and the warm-dust temperature gauged by the 70 μm/100 μm flux ratio. We find that the luminosity ratios of IR/HCN (4-3) and IR/HCO+ (4-3), which can be taken as a proxy for the star formation efficiency (SFE) in the dense molecular gas (SFE dense), appear to be nearly independent of the dense gas fraction ( f dense) for our sample of galaxies. The SFE of the total molecular gas (SFEmol) is found to increase substantially with f dense when combining our data with those on local (ultra)luminous infrared galaxies and high-z quasars. The mean LHCN(4-3) LHCO+(4-3) line ratio measured for the six targeted galaxies is 0.9±0.6. No significant correlation is found for the L'HCN(4-3) L'HCO+(4-3) ratio with the star formation rate as traced by L IR, nor with the warm-dust temperature, for the different populations of galaxies.Peer reviewe
The Electron Pairing of KFeSe
We studied the pairing instabilities in KFeSe using a two
stage functional renormalization group (FRG) method. Our results suggest the
leading and subleading pairing symmetries are nodeless and nodal
extended respectively. In addition, despite having no Fermi surfaces we
find the buried hole bands make important contributions to the final effective
interaction. From the bandstructure, spin susceptibility and the FRG results we
conclude that the low energy effective interaction in KFeSe is
well described by a model with dominant nearest-neighbor
antiferromagnetic interaction (at least as far as the superconducting
pairing is concerned). In the end we briefly mention several obvious
experiments to test whether the pairing symmetry is indeed .Comment: typo in Eq.(7) corrected on top of published version, 15 pages, 7

With the help of the F-basis provided by the Drinfeld twist or factorizing
F-matrix for the open XXZ spin chain with non-diagonal boundary terms, we
obtain the determinant representations of the scalar products of Bethe states
of the model.Comment: Latex file, 28 pages, based on the talk given by W. -L. Yang at

Pairing symmetry and properties of iron-based high temperature superconductors
Pairing symmetry is important to indentify the pairing mechanism. The
analysis becomes particularly timely and important for the newly discovered
iron-based multi-orbital superconductors. From group theory point of view we
classified all pairing matrices (in the orbital space) that carry irreducible
representations of the system. The quasiparticle gap falls into three
categories: full, nodal and gapless. The nodal-gap states show conventional
Volovik effect even for on-site pairing. The gapless states are odd in orbital
space, have a negative superfluid density and are therefore unstable. In
connection to experiments we proposed possible pairing states and implications
for the pairing mechanism.Comment: 4 pages, 1 table, 2 figures, polished versio
Observation of a ppb mass threshoud enhancement in \psi^\prime\to\pi^+\pi^-J/\psi(J/\psi\to\gamma p\bar{p}) decay
The decay channel
is studied using a sample of events collected
by the BESIII experiment at BEPCII. A strong enhancement at threshold is
observed in the invariant mass spectrum. The enhancement can be fit
with an -wave Breit-Wigner resonance function with a resulting peak mass of
and a
narrow width that is at the 90% confidence level.
These results are consistent with published BESII results. These mass and width
values do not match with those of any known meson resonance.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Chinese Physics
