The strong decay properties of the newly observed D(2550)D(2550), D(2600)D(2600), D(2750)D(2750) and D(2760)D(2760) are studied in a constituent quark model. It is predicted that the D(2760)D(2760) and D(2750)D(2750) seem to be two overlapping resonances. The D(2760)D(2760) could be identified as the 13D31^3D_3 with JP=3βˆ’J^P=3^-, while the D(2750)D(2750) is most likely to be the high-mass mixed state ∣1D2β€²>H|1{D_2}'>_H (JP=2βˆ’J^P=2^-) via the 11D21^1D_2-13D21^3D_2 mixing. The D(2600)D(2600) favors the low-mass mixed state ∣(SD)1>L|(SD)_1>_L (JP=1βˆ’)(J^P=1^-) via the 13D11^3D_1-23S12^3S_1 mixing. The D(2550)D(2550) as the 21S02^1S_0 assignment bears controversies for its too broad width given in experiments.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures; The review of the model is added. The Kβˆ’pβ†’Ξ£0Ο€0K^-p\to \Sigma^0\pi^0 reaction at low energies in a chiral quark model

A chiral quark-model approach is extended to the study of the KΛ‰N\bar{K}N scattering at low energies. The process of Kβˆ’pβ†’Ξ£0Ο€0K^-p\to \Sigma^0\pi^0 at PK≲800P_K\lesssim 800 MeV/c (i.e. the center mass energy W≲1.7W\lesssim 1.7 GeV) is investigated. This approach is successful in describing the differential cross sections and total cross section with the roles of the low-lying Ξ›\Lambda resonances in n=1n=1 shells clarified. The Ξ›(1405)S01\Lambda(1405)S_{01} dominates the reactions over the energy region considered here. Around PK≃400P_K\simeq 400 MeV/c, the Ξ›(1520)D03\Lambda(1520)D_{03} is responsible for a strong resonant peak in the cross section. The Ξ›(1670)S01\Lambda(1670)S_{01} has obvious contributions around PK=750P_K=750 MeV/c, while the contribution of Ξ›(1690)D03\Lambda(1690)D_{03} is less important in this energy region. The non-resonant background contributions, i.e. uu-channel and tt-channel, also play important roles in the explanation of the angular distributions due to amplitude interferences.Comment: 18 pages and 7 figure

Charm-strange baryon strong decays in a chiral quark model

The strong decays of charm-strange baryons up to N=2 shell are studied in a chiral quark model. The theoretical predictions for the well determined charm-strange baryons, Ξcβˆ—(2645)\Xi_c^*(2645), Ξc(2790)\Xi_c(2790) and Ξc(2815)\Xi_c(2815), are in good agreement with the experimental data. This model is also extended to analyze the strong decays of the other newly observed charm-strange baryons Ξc(2930)\Xi_c(2930), Ξc(2980)\Xi_c(2980), Ξc(3055)\Xi_c(3055), Ξc(3080)\Xi_c(3080) and Ξc(3123)\Xi_c(3123). Our predictions are given as follows. (i) Ξc(2930)\Xi_c(2930) might be the first PP-wave excitation of Ξcβ€²\Xi_c' with JP=1/2βˆ’J^P=1/2^-, favors the $|\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\lambda 1/2^->or or |\Xi_c'\ ^4P_\lambda 1/2^->state.(ii) state. (ii) \Xi_c(2980)mightcorrespondtotwooverlapping might correspond to two overlapping Pβˆ’wavestates-wave states |\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\rho 1/2^->and and |\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\rho 3/2^->,respectively.The, respectively. Ξ·β€²\eta' photoproduction on the nucleons in the quark model

A chiral quark-model approach is adopted to study the γp→η′p\gamma p\rightarrow \eta'p and γn→η′n\gamma n\rightarrow \eta' n. Good descriptions of the recent observations from CLAS and CBELSA/TAPS are obtained. Both of the processes are governed by S11(1535)S_{11}(1535) and uu channel background. Strong evidence of an n=3n=3 shell resonance D15(2080)D_{15}(2080) is found in the reactions, which accounts for the bump-like structure around W=2.1W=2.1 GeV observed in the total cross section and excitation functions at very forward angles. The S11(1920)S_{11}(1920) seems to be needed in the reactions, with which the total cross section near threshold for the γp→η′p\gamma p\rightarrow \eta' p is improved slightly. The polarized beam asymmetries show some sensitivities to D13(1520)D_{13}(1520), although its effects on the differential cross sections and total cross sections are negligible. There is no obvious evidence of the PP-, D13D_{13}-, FF- and GG-wave resonances with a mass around 2.0 GeV in the reactions.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figure
