Association of polymorphic markers rs243865 and rs3025058 with the development of arterial hypertension Essential hypertension is a multifactorial polygenic disease with a highest incidence in the world. The purpose of the study was to assess the relationship between gene polymorphisms MMP2-1586S>T (rs243865) and -1612 5A/6A MMP3 (rs3025058) with the development of arterial hypertension in population of the Central Chernozem region of Russi

Aim: chronic heart failure (CHF), which occurs as a result of common cardiovascular diseases in the elderly, combined with age-related changes in both structural and functional features of the heart. Myocardial remodeling is an essential substrate that determines the occurrence and progression of CHF in elderly patient

Studying the gut virome in the metagenomic era:challenges and perspectives

    Get PDF
The human gut harbors a complex ecosystem of microorganisms, including bacteria and viruses. With the rise of next-generation sequencing technologies, we have seen a quantum leap in the study of humangut-inhabiting bacteria, yet the viruses that infect these bacteria, known as bacteriophages, remain underexplored. In this review, we focus on what is known about the role of bacteriophages in human health and the technical challenges involved in studying the gut virome, of which they are a major component. Lastly, we discuss what can be learned from studies of bacteriophages in other ecosystems

In this paper we discuss the approaches to the choice of antibiotic therapy, subject to the sensitivity of these microorganisms to antibiotic therapy in the surgical department of St. Joseph Belgorod Regional Clinical Hospital. The obtained data state that III-IV generation pseudomonas cephalosporins and fluoroquinolones can be used for empirical therap
