Design and Analysis for RFID Authentication Protocol

    Get PDF
Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has been widely used in ubiquitous infrastructures. On the other hand, the low-cost RFID system has potential risks such as privacy and security problems, which would be a big barrier for the application. First of all, we analyze the current security protocols for the RFID system. To protect user privacy and remove security vulnerabilities, we propose a robust and privacy preserving mutual authentication protocol that is suitable for the low-cost RFID environment. Finally, the correctness of the proposed authentication protocol is proved by the BAN logic.published_or_final_versio

Short-time critical dynamics at perfect and non-perfect surface

We report Monte Carlo simulations of critical dynamics far from equilibrium on a perfect and non-perfect surface in the 3d Ising model. For an ordered initial state, the dynamic relaxation of the surface magnetization, the line magnetization of the defect line, and the corresponding susceptibilities and appropriate cumulant is carefully examined at the ordinary, special and surface phase transitions. The universal dynamic scaling behavior including a dynamic crossover scaling form is identified. The exponent β1\beta_1 of the surface magnetization and β2\beta_2 of the line magnetization are extracted. The impact of the defect line on the surface universality classes is investigated.Comment: 11figure

Camera Style Adaptation for Person Re-identification

© 2018 IEEE. Being a cross-camera retrieval task, person re-identification suffers from image style variations caused by different cameras. The art implicitly addresses this problem by learning a camera-invariant descriptor subspace. In this paper, we explicitly consider this challenge by introducing camera style (CamStyle) adaptation. CamStyle can serve as a data augmentation approach that smooths the camera style disparities. Specifically, with CycleGAN, labeled training images can be style-transferred to each camera, and, along with the original training samples, form the augmented training set. This method, while increasing data diversity against over-fitting, also incurs a considerable level of noise. In the effort to alleviate the impact of noise, the label smooth regularization (LSR) is adopted. The vanilla version of our method (without LSR) performs reasonably well on few-camera systems in which over-fitting often occurs. With LSR, we demonstrate consistent improvement in all systems regardless of the extent of over-fitting. We also report competitive accuracy compared with the state of the art. Excitation of nonlinear ion acoustic waves in CH plasmas

Excitation of nonlinear ion acoustic wave (IAW) by an external electric field is demonstrated by Vlasov simulation. The frequency calculated by the dispersion relation with no damping is verified much closer to the resonance frequency of the small-amplitude nonlinear IAW than that calculated by the linear dispersion relation. When the wave number kλDe k\lambda_{De} increases, the linear Landau damping of the fast mode (its phase velocity is greater than any ion's thermal velocity) increases obviously in the region of Ti/Te<0.2 T_i/T_e < 0.2 in which the fast mode is weakly damped mode. As a result, the deviation between the frequency calculated by the linear dispersion relation and that by the dispersion relation with no damping becomes larger with kλDek\lambda_{De} increasing. When kλDek\lambda_{De} is not large, such as kλDe=0.1,0.3,0.5k\lambda_{De}=0.1, 0.3, 0.5, the nonlinear IAW can be excited by the driver with the linear frequency of the modes. However, when kλDek\lambda_{De} is large, such as kλDe=0.7k\lambda_{De}=0.7, the linear frequency can not be applied to exciting the nonlinear IAW, while the frequency calculated by the dispersion relation with no damping can be applied to exciting the nonlinear IAW.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figures, Accepted by POP, Publication in August 1
