Statefinder diagnostic and stability of modified gravity consistent with holographic and new agegraphic dark energy

Recently one of us derived the action of modified gravity consistent with the holographic and new-agegraphic dark energy. In this paper, we investigate the stability of the Lagrangians of the modified gravity as discussed in [M. R. Setare, Int. J. Mod. Phys. D 17 (2008) 2219; M. R. Setare, Astrophys. Space Sci. 326 (2010) 27]. We also calculate the statefinder parameters which classify our dark energy model.Comment: 12 pages, 2 figures, accepted by Gen. Relativ. Gravi

Interacting Three Fluid System and Thermodynamics of the Universe Bounded by the Event Horizon

The work deals with the thermodynamics of the universe bounded by the event horizon. The matter in the universe has three constituents namely dark energy, dark matter and radiation in nature and interaction between then is assumed. The variation of entropy of the surface of the horizon is obtained from unified first law while matter entropy variation is calculated from the Gibbss' law. Finally, validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics is examined and conclusions are written point wise.Comment: 7 page

New Agegraphic Dark Energy in f(R)f(R) Gravity

In this paper we study cosmological application of new agegraphic dark energy density in the f(R)f(R) gravity framework. We employ the new agegraphic model of dark energy to obtain the equation of state for the new agegraphic energy density in spatially flat universe. Our calculation show, taking n<0n<0, it is possible to have wΛw_{\rm \Lambda} crossing -1. This implies that one can generate phantom-like equation of state from a new agegraphic dark energy model in flat universe in the modified gravity cosmology framework. Also we develop a reconstruction scheme for the modified gravity with f(R)f(R) action.Comment: 8 pages, no figur

Cosmological observations in non-local F(R)F(R) cosmology

In this article in a generalization of our previous work, we investigate the dynamics of the non-local F(R)F(R) gravity after casting it into local form. The non-singular bouncing behavior and quintom model of dark energy are achieved without involving negative kinetic energy fields. Two cosmological tests are performed to constrain the model parameters. In case of phantom crossing the distance modulus predicted by the model best-fits the observational data. In comparison with the CPL parametrization for drift velocity, the model in some redshift intervals is in good agreement with the data.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figures, will be published in Astrophysics and space scienc

Agegraphic dark energy as a quintessence

    Get PDF
Recently, a dark energy model characterized by the age of the universe, dubbed ``agegraphic dark energy'', was proposed by Cai. In this paper, a connection between the quintessence scalar-field and the agegraphic dark energy is established, and accordingly, the potential of the agegraphic quintessence field is constructed.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures; accepted by Eur.
