The Oblique Corrections from Heavy Scalars in Irreducible Representations
The contributions to , , and from heavy scalars in any irreducible
representation of the electroweak gauge group are
obtained. We find that in the case of a heavy scalar doublet there is a slight
difference between the parameter we have obtained and that in previous
works.Comment: 6 pages, 2 axodraw figures; minor changes, references update
An Empirical Research of the Network Public Opinion Impact on the Information Openness of Government Affairs – Take “Hide and Seek” and “Deng Yujiao” Events for Example
The influence network public opinion on the information openness of government affairs is studied after comparing the events of hide-and-seek and Deng Yujiao . The linear dependence relationship exists between variation of information publicity about government affairs and the total number of the network public opinion, moreover, variation of information publicity about government affairs and the ratio that negative comments in total number of the network public opinion presences linear relation. Both total number and negative comment ratio play an improving role in the process of e-government publicly: total number and degree of e-government information openness exists stable positive correlation, while the positive correlation relationship between negative comments ratio and e-government information openness is instability
Three-Layered Atmospheric Structure in Accretion Disks Around Stellar-Mass Black Holes
Modeling of the x-ray spectra of the Galactic superluminal jet sources GRS
1915+105 and GRO J1655-40 reveal a three-layered atmospheric structure in the
inner region of their accretion disks. Above the cold and optically thick disk
of a temperature 0.2-0.5 keV, there is a warm layer with a temperature of
1.0-1.5 keV and an optical depth around 10. Sometimes there is also a much
hotter, optically thin corona above the warm layer, with a temperature of 100
keV or higher and an optical depth around unity. The structural similarity
between the accretion disks and the solar atmosphere suggest that similar
physical processes may be operating in these different systems.Comment: 5 fives, 2 figures, 1 table. The online version of the paper in

Partially functional linear regression in high dimensions
In modern experiments, functional and nonfunctional data are often encountered simultaneously when observations are sampled from random processes and high-dimensional scalar covariates. It is difficult to apply existing methods for model selection and estimation. We propose a new class of partially functional linear models to characterize the regression between a scalar response and covariates of both functional and scalar types. The new approach provides a unified and flexible framework that simultaneously takes into account multiple functional and ultrahigh-dimensional scalar predictors, enables us to identify important features, and offers improved interpretability of the estimators. The underlying processes of the functional predictors are considered to be infinite-dimensional, and one of our contributions is to characterize the effects of regularization on the resulting estimators. We establish the consistency and oracle properties of the proposed method under mild conditions, demonstrate its performance with simulation studies, and illustrate its application using air pollution data
Comparison Analysis of Dust-Depressor Using Microbial Induced Carbonate Precipitation with Urease Reagent
The dust-depressors have been developed utilizing a method of microbial induced carbonate precipitation. This microbial dust-depressor has the characteristics of high efficiency for dust suppression and environmental protection. Optimal compositions of urease dust-depressor and microbial dust-depressor have been studied. In addition, pure water, CaCl2 and super absorbent polymer are chosen to compare with new dust-depressors on the performances. The results showed that the microbial dust-depressor had 3.13 mm/min of seepage velocity and 79.1% of dust suppression efficiency, which were superior to other dust-depressors on the performance of seepage velocity and dust suppression efficiency
Correlation between Internet Addiction Disorder and Mental Health of Junior Middle School Students in Chengdu
Objective: To study the prevalence and main influencing factors of Internet addiction among junior middle school students in Chengdu, and to provide scientific basis for the prevention and intervention of Internet addiction. Methods: From September to December 2017, 3,607 junior middle school students were randomly selected from 8 middle schools in Chengdu by stratified cluster sampling, and investigated by selfmade questionnaire. SPSS 19.0 software was used for χ 2 test and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: 174 of 3,607 junior middle school students in Chengdu were diagnosed with Internet addiction, and the detection rate of Internet addiction was 4.8%. There were significant differences in the scores of mental health, learning pressure, parent-child relationship and peer relationship between Internet addiction and non-internet addiction junior middle school students (P < 0.05). The results of multiple linear regression showed that family economic status, learning pressure, depression and anxiety were positively correlated with internet addiction, while parent-child relationship, peer relationship and social support were negatively correlated with Internet addiction (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Conclusion: The detection rate of Internet addiction among junior middle school students in Chengdu is at a low level. Junior middle school students with low social support and high depression and anxiety have a higher risk of Internet addiction, which can be reduced by improving their mental health
