A new bearing fault diagnosis scheme using MED-morphological filter and ridge demodulation analysis

For rolling bearing diagnosis, the major challenge of signal processing technique is to extract the quasi-periodic impulses which generated by rolling bearing fault, especially when rolling bearing operated in the condition of heavy noise. This paper proposed a new bearing fault diagnosis scheme. First, the Minimum Entropy Deconvolution (MED) is taken to obtain the impulse excitations from the bearing vibration signal. Then, two kinds of morphological filter, named average filter(AVG) and difference filter (DIF), are used as the assisted filtering unit to reduce the random noise in original signal and integrate the positive and negative impulse excitations in MED filtered signal, respectively. At last, the STFT based ridge demodulation analysis is applied to the purified signal, and the bearing fault is easily identified by spectral analysis of the demodulated signal. Two simulated signal are analyzed to test the performance of the proposed scheme. In the first case, the periodic impulse signal adding with random noise is analyzed. The result shows that MED-AVG-DIA is the best scheme for impulse feature extraction. In the second case, the pure impulse signal which filtered by MED is analyzed. The result shows that STFT based ridge demodulation analysis can achieve better demodulation effect than other demodulation methods. The proposed fault diagnosis scheme has been further verified by simulation signal and measured vibration signals of defective bearing. The result shown that the proposed scheme is feasible and effective for the fault diagnosis of rolling bearing

Method to Select Target Wells and Target Zones for the Technique of Water Plugging

Water shutoff is an effective way to enhance oil recovery and lower water production. It is crucial to select target wells and target zones properly, otherwise, the effect of water shutoff may be disturbed. Traditionally, the job to select target wells and target zones is always done artificially and imprecisely, as a result, water shutoff does not perform as good as it can. This paper proposes a fuzzy method capable of optimizing the selection of target wells and target zones for water shutoff. This study plays a significant role in the technique of water shutoff

A Novelty Method for Identifying Risk Factors of Sudden Food Safety Event

    Get PDF
Food is the basic material basis for human survival. Sudden food safety event risks mainly derive from accidental or natural food safety risks, poor food storage environments, and inefficient government regulation policies. The factor identification of sudden food safety risks is the key to controlling such risks. Therefore, the efficient and scientific identification of risk sources and types will be very important in managing sudden food safety risks. In this study, 16 sudden food safety event risk factors were identified through a literature review, and their interactive relationships were clarified using an interpretive structural model (ISM). Then, the weights of influencing factors were calculated through the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and the combined weight of indices was determined. Results show that the 16 sudden food safety event risk factors can be divided into four levels. The quality standard for food safety (S5) and food storage (S14) is at the bottom layer of risks of sudden food safety events (the first-layer index weight is 36.899%). The judgment matrices at the four levels passed the consistency check. The influence weight of the factor "whether it contains transgenic raw materials" (S9) ranks second (the total weight is 18.151%). This index system for sudden food safety event risk factors is highly effective, with good operability for managing sudden food safety event risks. The obtained conclusions are important reference values for identifying the factors influencing food safety risk management, determining the emphasis of food safety supervision, realizing food risk prevention and control, and strengthening and guaranteeing the food safety level

    Photoacoustic Drug Delivery

Photoacoustic (PA) technology holds great potential in clinical translation as a new non-invasive bioimaging modality. In contrast to conventional optical imaging, PA imaging (PAI) enables higher resolution imaging with deeper imaging depth. Besides applications for diagnosis, PA has also been extended to theranostic applications. The guidance of PAI facilitates remotely controlled drug delivery. This review focuses on the recent development of PAI-mediated drug delivery systems. We provide an overview of the design of different PAI agents for drug delivery. The challenges and further opportunities regarding PA therapy are also discussed

Synthesis and characterization of aligned ZnO/BeO core/shell nanocable arrays on glass substrate

By sequential hydrothermal growth of ZnO nanowire arrays and thermal evaporation of Be, large-scale vertically aligned ZnO/BeO core/shell nanocable arrays on glass substrate have been successfully synthesized without further heat treatment. Detailed characterizations on the sample morphologies, compositions, and microstructures were systematically carried out, which results disclose the growth behaviors of the ZnO/BeO nanocable. Furthermore, incorporation of BeO shell onto ZnO core resulted in distinct improvement of optical properties of ZnO nanowire, i.e., significant enhancement of near band edge (NBE) emission as well as effective suppression of defects emission in ZnO. In particular, the NBE emission of nanocable sample shows a noticeable blue-shift compared with that of pristine ZnO nanowire, which characteristics most likely originate from Be alloying into ZnO. Consequently, the integration of ZnO and BeO into nanoscale heterostructure could bring up new opportunities in developing ZnO-based device for application in deep ultraviolet region
