On the Equilibrium Reaction among Aluminium, Oxogen and Carbon in Molten Iron
As the direct measurement of the reaction of the deoxidation by aluminium in steel mating was very difficult, an indirect measurement was carried out by using a pure carbon crucible in the atmosphere of CO gas at the temperature ranging over from 1650 to 2060℃. Then, combining the equilibrium constant of the above reaction with that of the reaction among CO gas, oxygen and carbon in molten iron, the equilibrium relation between oxygen and aluminium was obtained. Further, the ternary deoxidation diagram of oxygen, carbon and aluminium in molten iron was discussed
