    Born in İstanbul on 25 May 1917, Gavsi Ozansoy is the son of oneof the most important figures of Turkish Literature Halid Fahri Ozansoyas well as being a poet and author. He published his poems and storiesfor a long time in the magazine of “Servetifünun-Uyanış” in which hisfather worked as the editor in chief. He became the leading figure of themovement, so called as “Tasfiye Hareketi” (Clearance Movement) inliterature, by publishing an article titled “Tasfiye Lazım” (Clearance isRequired) in 1940. The “Tasfiye Hareketi” (Clearance Movement) becamevery short-term-movement, despite these young authors proved theirideas with their publishings with only few of them proved to be farbetter than the old ones. No matter how ineffective it was in terms of itsreasons, the “Tasfiye Hareketi” (Clearance Movement) gave way to newapproaches in literature with its conclusions. Some of the artworks ofthe young artists of the term‟s Tasfiye Hareketi provided them anopportunity to better promote themselves and their ability with theclaim of refreshment. In this sense, Tasfiye Hareketi prepared thegrounds for the following Garip movement.Rather than being a poet and author, Gavsi Ozansoy was moreknown with his journalist charasteristic. In addition to the poems andstories published in the Uyanış (awakening) Magazine, Ozansoy becomeprominent by hıs speeches and the literary interviews with the famouspoets and authors of the Tasfiye Hareketi (Clearance Movement) of 1940after a long time. <br
