Background : Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common cause of infertility in reproductive-age women , it is an important harbinger of metabolic disorders. It has been reported that hyperamylasemia can be used as marker of ovarian cancer patients . The current study was conducted to evaluate amylase activity and to estimate the correlation of this enzyme with insulin and insulin resistance in PCOS patients. Methods: This study was conducted on forty five patients with PCOS in comparison to twenty five women as control. Fasting blood sample was taken from each subject and analyzed for amylase activity , FSH,LH, Insulin , proteins, and blood sugar , meanwhile insulin resistance was determined by HOMA-IR index. Results: The results of the study showed a significant increase (

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is one of the most common diseases , so in this study the serum level of malondialdehyde and its relationship with metanephrine was investigated in acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients over one month of treatment. Some biochemical parameters (serum glucose , total serum protein , malondialdehyde ,vitamin C, and metanephrine) changed as well as white blood cell count and blood hemoglobinlevelswere analyzed in sixty patients diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia over one month of treatment compared to healthy control group.Statistically significant increases (

A Research Study in the Synthesis and the Applications of Coumarin Derivatives

Many organic and medicinal chemists are interested in the coumarin compounds because of their potential for use in pharmaceuticals and other industries. Coumarin compounds are a significant class of biologically active chemicals. Here, we outline the steps for producing coumarin derivatives quickly and effectively from commercially accessible substrates via multicomponent condensation processes involving pyrone and benzene derivatives. These substances were examined for their potential anti-tumor effects, including their ability to block carbonic anhydrase, activate the cell apoptosis protein, and coumarin and its derivatives are the primary oral anticoagulants. Candida albicans, Aspergillus fumigatus, and Fusarium solani are three distinct fungus species that are resistant to the antifungal properties of synthetic coumarins. Long known are the coumarins' antibacterial, antifilarial, antiulcerogenic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. Coumarin has long been valued as a major raw element in the fragrance sector due to its distinct sweet aroma and stability. When mixed with organic essential oils like lavender, citrus, rosemary, and oak moss, it is used as an odour-enhancer to produce a long-lasting impact. It has been utilized as a bleaching or brightening agent in detergents. Materials such as liquid crystalline, organic/inorganic composites, as well as light harvesting, energy transferring compounds, and electro-optics materials are all employed as a dye in organic photo-redox catalysis and as potent photo-sensitizers reagent. These materials polymerize epoxy-silicones, under near-UV and visible light. Coumarin has also found useful as metal-free sensitizers for solar cells

A common disease, Osteoporosis (OP), is characterized by a systemic impairment of microarchitecture and bone mass that causes in fragility fractures. The medical and socioeconomic influences of postmenopausal OP will increase, meanwhile, oxidative Stress (OS) and inflammation are play an important role in this disease. The intracellular antioxidant vitamin (C ;VitC) is important for a variety of biological functions, and prevents of inflammation and OS. The purpose of this study is investigation the impact Vit C in this silent disease. Total of (150) individual samples were included ; 50  individual for each group (apparently healthy individual samples as control group, Osteopenia patients , and OP patients ). These three groups were classified according to the T-Score obtained from the DEXA scan. The vitamin was measured by ELISA immunological method while several biochemical parameters including calcium (Ca++), phosphorus (Phos), total protein (TP), and uric acid (UA) were measured using autobiochemical analysis. Results showed significantly decrease in Vit C in two patients groups when compared with control  group but the difference was non-significant  between the two patient groups.  &nbsp

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women. The development of breast cancer is a multi-step process involving multiple cell types, and its prevention remains challenging in the world. Early diagnosis of breast cancer is one of the best approaches to prevent this disease. In some developed countries, the 5-year relative survival rate of breast cancer patients is above 80% due to early prevention. For people presenting without metastatic disease, therapeutic goals are tumor eradication and preventing recurrence. Ocimum basilicum L. (Basil) is a plant that has a place with the family Labiatae, also basil leave have activities intense cancer prevention agents, curbs aging, is an anticancer, antiviral, and has antimicrobial properties. This study aimed to determine effect of nanotechnology with basil as synergism effect on breast cancer cell also showing the side effect of treatment on normal cells. In this work breast cancer cells (MDA and MCF7) was treated with Iron nanoparticle that prepared by Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) and Ocimum Basilcum L. (Basil) as synergism effect on the cells.&nbsp

Buckling and bending properties of aluminium plate with multiple cracks

Purpose: In this paper, the bending strength and buckling stability of (AA 7075-T6) aluminium plate weakened by many transverse cracks, which located at different positions, subjected to concentrated loads applied at the ends were analysed. Design/methodology/approach: Numerical modelling and calculation by the finite element method (ANSYS Package), for the critical load of bending and compression panel were estimated. Findings: It found that the variation of the critical stress in bending and buckling is proportional to the crack conditions (no. of crack and location). In general, the critical load in bending and buckling decreases with increasing the crack number in structure. Research limitations/implications: For both bending and buckling, two transverse cracks on one face of plate is more stable than two transverse cracks on opposite faces. Practical implications: In addition, many experimental tests were carried out by using an INSTRON test machine to obtain the buckling critical loads, where the experimental results were compared with the ones of the finite element method. Furthermore, bending strength was calculated theoretically for the cracked panel. Originality/value: Comparison between the experimental and numerical (FE based model) data and between the theoretical and nu-merical (FE based model) data for buckling and bending strength respectively indicate the precise and the simplicity of the developed models to determine the critical loads in such cases

Design of uncertain displacement controlled velocity control system for hydraulic actuator

Displacement-controlled systems have high efficiency and are widely used in industry. Accurate control of the actuator motion in hydraulic systems is usually a necessity in industrial applications such as the motion of control surfaces in fixed-wing airplanes for flight control as well as the aircraft brake systems. To address this need, the current study was conducted with the goal of developing a high-fidelity model to achieve precise control. This work focused on modeling a hydrostatic transmission that is used for controlling a linear actuator velocity. The flow entering the actuator was changed using a variable displacement pump. The study included examining the stability and performance of the open-loop system. Additionally, the study involved the design of the proportional-integral-derivative PID and H∞ controllers, followed by the analysis of the stability and performance of the closed-loop system with both controllers. Furthermore, the multiplicative uncertainty is taken into account and the robustness of the system is verified using controllers PID and H∞. In the current study,Uncertain parameters such as actuator efficiency, pump speed, and viscous friction coefficient were considered and allowed for a ±5% deviation from their stated values. Taking uncertainty into account ensures that the system performs properly even in case where the design parameters vary within the specified range. The system response is compared for the cases of open-loop system, closed-loop system with PID controller, and closed-loop system with H∞ controller. The results demonstrated that the open-loop system remains stable for real-world applications but shows insufficient performance in terms of input tracking and disturbance rejection. The introduction of the PID controller significantly enhanced the system's response to a reference input; however, its disturbance rejection capabilities in terms of overshoot and settling time were still unsatisfactory. The system equipped with the PID controller failed to meet the robustness requirements. Conversely, the utilization of H∞ controllers yielded superior responses and fulfilled the robustness criteria
