PENGARUH GERAK U-TURN PADA BUKAAN MEDIAN TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK ARUS LALU LINTAS DI RUAS JALAN RAJA H. FISABILILAH
Salah satu indikator masalah lalu lintas yang ada di kota Batam adalah letak bukaan median yang menyediakan bukaan putar balik (U-turn) yang dibuat untuk mengatasi masalah kemacetan, akan tetapi fasilitas putar balik (U-turn) juga dapat memicu masalah kemacetan dalam bentuk hambatan pada perlambatan arus lalu lintas pada jalur searah maupun jalur berlawanan arah, dan volume kendaraan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi efek gerak putar balik (U-turn) pada bukaan median terhadap karakteristik arus lalu lintas di ruas jalan Raja H.Fisabilillah karena pada lokasi tersebut sering terjadi kemacetan yang diakibatkan oleh pengguna jalan yang akan melakukan putar balik (U-turn). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara survei langsung pada u-turn di ruas jalan Raja H.Fisabililah. Data tersebut terdiri dari data geometrik jalan, kondisi lalu lintas, volume lalu lintas, waktu tempuh rata-rata berlangsungnya gerakan putar balik (U-turn), arus terganggu, tidak terganggu, dan waktu tempuh kendaraan pergerakan putar balik (U-turn) pada jam puncak pagi, siang, dan sore. Dari hasil survei berdasarkan standar yang dinyatakan pada standard SNI 2444.2008, dan pedoman konstruksi dan bangunan PdT-17-2004-B dengan meninjau dua kriteria yaitu jarak minimum antar bukaan median dan panjang bukaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu tempuh rata-rata kendaraan yang melakukan gerakan putar balik (U-turn) sangat dipengaruhi oleh jumlah lajur dan arus serta bukaan median, terdiri dari dua arah dengan masing-masing empat jalur, untuk waktu yang terganggu pada saat melangsungkan gerakan putar balik (U-turn) selama 4.425 detik dan besaran waktu tidak terganggu selama 3.35 detik. Dari hasil survei tersebut, salah satu upaya manajemen lalu lintas yang bisa dilakukan adalah mengetahui tingkat pelayanan jalan dengan menilai kinerja jalan sebagai indikator kemacetan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mempertimbangkan faktor eksternal yang berpotensi mengakibatkan kemacetan seperti kendaraan pribadi yang akan melakukan gerakan putar balik (U-turn) . Teknik dan strategi yang dapat diimplementasikan berupa aksi larangan untuk kendaraan pribadi dari salah satu jalan perumahan sekitar bukaan median untuk melakukan gerakan U-turn dibukaan berikutnya
Analisis Karakteristik Pengguna Jalan Di Kota Batam
Human life is inevitable from the need for transportation which is used as a supporting tool to fulfill and facilitate humans to their desired destinations. Transportation which is also a necessity for the people of Batam City has an influence on the condition of road users on almost every side of Batam City which can be found by various road users with their respective vehicles. Characteristics are individual behaviors and actions that must be considered, especially for road users. Users of this road have a variety of characteristics since many people pass by around Gajah Mada Road, Batam City depending on the purposes and needs of each person. The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of road users, analyze the grouping of road user characteristics, analyze the impact of road users through road user characteristics, and find out the number of users of the Gajah Mada Road, Batam City. The research methods used are qualitative and quantitative approaches, the primary data collection techniques are in the form of questionnaires, while secondary data are observations and literature reviews from previous research. The results showed that there is a diversity of characteristics of road users at Gajah Mada Road, Batam City such as road users who always obey traffic signs and lights; the characteristic behaviors of breaking rules are considered neutral; as well as the completeness of driver’s license. Therefore, the researcher wants to discuss the characteristics of these road users.
 
Challenges of Developing a Logistics Hub Case Study: Batu Ampar Port
As a region with leading sectors of marine, tourism, industry, fisheries, and Batu Ampar as the Main Port, Batam has the potential to be developed. One of the main centers of activity is large ports and international airports that can become national and international-scale economic gateways for logistics hubs. This research aimed to determine The Challenges of developing a logistics hub in Batu Ampar Port. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and secondary data from the Batam port office and the Human Settlements and Spatial Planning Office. This research shows some challenges such as geography, infrastructure, connectivity, transportation costs and time, Trade movement requirements, Shipping dependability, Transport, and trade regulations. Poor logistics performance is a significant obstacle to trade growth in most Indonesian cities. In this case, there is an international shipping port that does not yet have adequate facilities and infrastructure to become a logistics hub
ANALISIS AKSESIBILITAS KENDARAAN PRIBADI MENUJU KAMPUS UNIVERSITAS ANDALAS
Aksesibilitas dalam transportasi adalah hal yang sangat penting karena mempengaruhi pergerakan transportasi. Apabila aksesibilitas suatu tempat tinggi maka setiap orang dapat melakukan aktivitas dengan cepat dan mudah, begitu juga sebaliknya apabila suatu tempat memiliki aksesibilitas rendah maka setiap orang akan sulit melakukan aktivitas. Aksesibilitas memiliki peranan penting bagi pengguna transportasi, baik untuk kendaraan pribadi maupun angkutan umum. Kemudahan seseorang dalam memperoleh aksesibilitas berpengaruh terhadap moda kendaraan yang digunakan. Penelitian Tugas Akhir ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis aksesibilitas kendraaan pribadi roda dua dan roda empat berdasarkan rute kelurahan yang ada di Kota Padang menuju Kampus Universitas Andalas. Dalam penelitian ini analisis dilakukan berdasarkan jarak, waktu, dan kecepatan. Parameter aksesibilitas berdasarkan metode statistik persentil. Dari tabel persentil, nilai aksesibilitas di bagi dalam tiga bagian yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Hasil analisis kendaraan pribadi roda dua menunjukkan terdapat 3 rute perjalanan dengan nilai total aksesibilitas tinggi, 20 rute perjalanan dengan nilai total aksesibilitas menengah, dan 51 rute perjalanan dengan nilai total aksesibilitas rendah. Sedangkan, untuk analisis kendaraan pribadi roda empat terdapat 1 rute perjalanan dengan nilai total aksesibilitas tinggi, 18 rute perjalanan dengan nilai total aksesibilitas menengah, dan 33 rute perjalanan dengan nilai total aksesibilitas rendah. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya yang sejenis dengan penelitian ini sebaiknya menggunakan parameter aksesibilitas yang lebih bervariasi sehingga hasil analisis yang didapatkan lebih akurat
Pengaruh Penambahan Limbah Serbuk Pvc Pada Campuran Laston Lapis Aus
Konstruksi perkerasan jalan merupakan konstruksi yang terletak antara lapisan tanah dasar dan roda kendaraan. Pada umumnya, lapisan campuran material penyusun perkerasan saling terintegrasi. Hal tersebut dikarenakan fungsi utama dari lapisan penyusun tersebut adalah untuk mereduksi beban yang terjadi dari kendaraan-kendaraan yang melintas dan selanjutnya didistribusikan ke lapisan yang terletak dibawahnya. Perkerasan jalan dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu perkerasan kaku (rigid pavement) dimana material pengikatnya menggunakan semen, perkerasan lentur (flexible pavement) dimana material pengikatnya menggunakan aspal, dan perkerasan komposit dimana material pengikatnya merupakan kombinasi antara aspal dan semen. Pada penelitian ini dibahas tentang penggunaan limbah PVC sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan mutu pada campuran perkerasan. Limbah PVC tersebut akan dicampur dengan material penyusun campuran lainnya yang telah disesuaikan dengan standar-standar yang berlaku. Limbah PVC yang tidak dapat diolah akan menumpuk dan beresiko mencemari lingkungan dan mengancam kesehatan. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan limbah PVC ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi jumlah limbah PVC. Dari hasil penelitian maka diperoleh kesimpulan beda uji konvensional memiliki nilai rata-rata MQ 825.769 kg/mm, nilai rata-rata VIM 6.833%, nilai rata-rata VMA 19.475% dan nilai rata-rata VFA 77.888%. Sedangkan benda uji yang ditambahkan limbah PVC dengan persentase berturut-turut 2%, 4% dan 6% memiliki nilai rata-rata MQ 734.180 kg/mm, 820.691 kg/mm dan 1165.360 kg/mm. Nilai rata-rata VIM 7.0%, 6.9%, dan 6.7%. Nilai rata-rata VMA 19.575%, 19.213%, 19.352%. Nilai rata-rata VFA 78.791%, 85.657%, 84.782%
ANALISA KARAKTERISTIK CAMPURAN ASPAL MENGGUNAKAN LIMBAH KERAMIK
Pavement is an integrated structure between various layers of a particular material mixture where each layer’s main function is to reduce the loading that occurs on top of it, which is instead distributed to layers underneath. Pavement is divided into 2 (two), namely flexible pavement using asphalt as a binding material and rigid pavement using cement as a binding material.
This study discusses the use of ceramic waste as an alternative aggregate replacement in the pavement mixture. Waste pieces of ceramics that are no longer used will be filtered based on gradations that have been adapted to applicable regulations. Ceramic pieces are easy to find in various construction projects, the use of ceramic waste as a mixture is expected to be able to reduce the budget and reduce the waste of ceramic pieces themselves.
Based on the results of laboratory tests, it is known that asphalt using ceramic waste as an alternative to coarse aggregate meets the minimum specifications of Bina Marga. MQ value of 722,211 kg/mm, VIM value of 4,54%, VMA value of 20,04% and VFA value of 81,76% where the overall value are in accordance with the 2018 Bina Marga minimum specifications. Based on laboratory testing, ceramic waste can be used as an alternative to coarse aggregate.
Perkerasan jalan merupakan struktur yang saling terintegrasi antar berbagai lapisan campuran material tertentu dimana masing – masing lapisan fungsi utamanya adalah untuk mereduksi pembebanan yang terjadi diatasnya dan kemudian didistribusikan kelapisan yang ada dibawahnya. Perkerasan dibagi menjadi 2 (dua) yaitu perkerasan lentur yang menggunakan aspal sebagai material pengikat dan perkerasan kaku yang menggunakan semen sebagai material pengikat.
Penelitian ini membahas tentang pemanfaatan limbah keramik sebagai alternatif pengganti agregat pada campuran perkerasan. Limbah potongan keramik yang sudah tidak digunakan lagi akan disaring berdasarkan gradasi yang telah disesuaikan dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Potongan keramik mudah kita jumpai dalam berbagai proyek konstruksi, pemanfaatan limbah keramik sebagai salah satu bahan campuran diharapkan mampu menekan budget dan mengurangi limbah potongan keramik itu sendiri.
Berdasarkan hasil pengujian laboratorium, diketahui bahwa aspal yang menggunakan limbah keramik sebagai alternatif pengganti agregat kasar memenuhi spesifikasi minimum Bina Marga. Nilai rerata MQ 722,211 kg/mm, nilai VIM sebesar 4,54%, nilai VMA sebesar 20,04% dan VFA sebesar 81,76% dimana keseluruhan nilai sudah sesuai dengan spesifikasi minimum Bina Marga Tahun 2018. Berdasarkan pengujian laboratorium tersebut limbah keramik dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pengganti agregat kasar.
 
THE INFLUENCE OF PORT INFRASTRUCTURE ON LOGISTICS PRICES AS A MARITIME AXIS IN BATAM CITY: BATU AMPAR PORT
The city of Batam has a geographical location which is a factor strategic for the port sector, as an activity sector potential and attractive economy prospective, so it needs to be well regulated and integrated with Batam's national spatial planning. One of the biggest goods ports in the city of batam is the Batu Ampar port. The aim of this reserach was to determine The influence of port infrastructure on logistics prices as a maritime axis in Batam City in Batu Ampar Port. This research uses descriptive quantitative approach and secondary data from the Batam port office and the Human Settlements and Spatial Planning Office. The results of this research are Batam national spatial plan for the realization of Batu Ampar as an export-oriented industrial center integrated with port services and trading areas is not compatible with the available port facilities. Batam as a port city still has not prioritized the development of port infrastructure and coastal areas in accordance with the Batam city spatial plan. Problems with the logistics costs in Batam are caused by several things: Inadequate port infrastructure for decades, high shipping costs, which are more expensive than other regions; port loading and unloading facilities that are less than the port standard; opportunities to develop direct calls and untapped transshipment and logistics management at ports that are still being carried out by door-to-door logistics companies in Singapore
Mendeley Management Reference Application and Scientific Writing Strategy
The main obstacle in making a scientific paper is due to lack of experience in writing and weak knowledge of strategies in technical writing. This workshop aims to provide insight into writing strategies, train using the Mendeley application reference tool, and write citations in journals or scientific papers. This activity was carried out through the Zoom Meeting application by presenting competent resource persons and divided into several stages, starting from participant registration, education stages and direct practice of using applications on Microsoft Office Word. From the training results, ten universities with 150 participants participated, of which 52% of participants were unfamiliar with the Mendeley application. With the evaluation results, 70.47% of participants were able to operate this application. Participants stated that they were very interested in using the simple regression results, the R2 value = 0.9691, and the ease of use of the application obtained an R2 value of 0.9702
The Phenomenon Of On-Street Parking In A Residential Ares In Batam City
This research examines residential parking use in one Indonesian city, Batam via SNI 03-1733-2004 concerning road groupings in residential neighborhoods (secondary local road I, secondary local road II, secondary local road III). This is a digest of the paper describing in brief the background, problems, methods, findings, and conclusion. The results of this research found that on average it was filled with four-wheeled vehicles parked because there were 86,9% of the width of the road in the respondents residential area allowing for parking. Around 59,3% of respondents have private parking lots but 19,8% of respondents use their private parking lots as another function. Based on the comfort of the road in a residential area, there were 56,1% of respondents felt comfortable and 77% of the neighbouring respondents were not disturbed by vehicles that were parked outside private land. With 60,2% of the respondents four-wheeled vehicles parked along a residential neighborhood road, there was a 24% commotion. The decrease in road space capacity caused by four-wheeled vehicles parked was 19,35% on secondary local roads I, 20% on secondary local roads II and 37,5% on secondary local roads III. Parking policies on residential neighborhood roads are not listed in Batam city regulations
Urban Tourism Concepts in the Design of Kampung Tua in Batam
Batam City’s government has focused on exploring its tourism potential in recent years. This makes Batam the 3rd largest city in the number of tourist arrivals after Bali and Jakarta. Batam is one of the cities that is trying to develop the potential of an old village. There are at least 37 areas that have been agreed upon by the government and the community as Kampung Tua. Kampung Tua is a group of houses that function as neighborhoods the original inhabitants of Batam City when Batam began to be built, containing historical values, local culture, or religion that were preserved. This research aims to determine the design of the concept of urban tourism in Kampung Tua Tanjungriau. The method used in this research is the qualitative approach. Data collection was performed with observation, documentation, literature study, and data from local government. The result of this research is the design of urban tourism in Kampung Tua Tanjungriau such as physical and non-physical components of the Kampung Tua Tanjungriau area which has an interesting collaborative design between urban design and urban tourism
