State of Indonesia is currently experiencing growth and development on industrial goods and services, be it large or small scale, with Opt participation of the Republic of Indonesia in the free trade agreement ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) this year, resulting in the Indonesian market beset with products import without having halal certificate and label, so we need an active role in oversight of government to protect Muslim consumers of non-kosher products and endangering. The purpose of this thesis, namely: First, enforcement of criminal law in the protection of Muslim consumers of food products that are not kosher in the city of Pekanbaru Second, obstacles to enforcing the law against food products that are not kosher in the city of Pekanbaru Third, efforts to overcome the obstacles encountered in enforcing the law against halal food products that are not in the city of Pekanbaru. From the research there are three main things that can be inferred. First, there is no law enforcement against food products that are not labeled halal in Pekanbaru, because food products are still in the market without experiencing interference from the relevant authorities, and no test of associated labor and the inspection of the food products. Second, obstacles to enforcing the law against food product not labeled halal in Pekanbaru there are 5 factors that cause namely, the vagueness of legislation in terms of the investigator investigators in charge of law enforcement, lack of effective cooperation between the relevant authorities, do not support the means and facilities, public ignorance of their rights and obligations, and changes in the legal culture of society, Third, efforts made to overcome these barriers is to provide an appeal to businesses to take care of halal certificates, coordinate with related MUI mandatory food using the halal label

This article reports on a pedagogical intervention in foreign language teaching in higher education. It analizes the competences developed by Argentinian and UK-based students as they used Skype to design a leaflet that addressed a real world issue: the Argentinian military dictatorship and its manipulation of the 1978 Football World Cup. The data consists of students’ discussions of this highly disturbing human rights issue. A first level of analysis focused on identifying evidence of competences using the Council of Europe’s conceptual model of ‘competences for democratic culture’ (2016). In a second level of analysis, the data was categorized within the framework of Article 2.2 of the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights Education and Training (2011). This research study provides an empirical test of these two frameworks in the field of language education, an aspect that has not been investigated before. It also contributes to our understanding of the potential of intercultural citizenship projects in achieving the goals of human rights education in foreign language teaching. Results indicate the development of substantial competences for democratic culture defined in the Council of Europe’s model

Over the last decade, processing of biomedical signals using machine learning algorithms has gained widespread attention. Amongst these, one of the most important signals is electroencephalography (EEG) signal that is used to monitor the brain activities. Brain-computer-interface (BCI) has also become a hot topic of research where EEG signals are usually acquired using non-invasive sensors. In this work, we propose a scheme based on common spatial spectral pattern (CSSP) and optimization of temporal filters for improved motor imagery (MI) EEG signal recognition. CSSP is proposed as it improves the spatial resolution while the temporal filter is optimized for each subject as the frequency band which contains most significant information varies amongst different subjects. The proposed scheme is evaluated using two publicly available datasets: BCI competition III dataset IVa and BCI competition IV dataset 1. The proposed scheme obtained promising results and outperformed other state-of-the-art methods. The findings of this work will be beneficial for developing improved BCI systems

Community service is based on research and method development. Against the backdrop of the effort to give birth to Islamic psychological interventions, the researcher tried to design a gratefulness training module. The gratefulness training model is a theistic psychological intervention which is the development of a training model taken from the concept of gratitude by Ibn Qayyim Aljauziyah. What distinguishes it is the conceptualization and emphasis of intervention in several ways. The method development is combining the concept of Gratitude with gratefulness in a training forum as a psychological intervention. The hope is that gratefulness training can be applied, conducted research, and can be considered as a single intervention or additional intervention, especially for Muslims. The participants of the gratefulness training were 20 people in the Taklim Council in Pekanbaru City

Understanding of financial literacy in East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province is a serious problem to be overcome. The results of previous research indicate the weakness of financial literacy in entrepreneurs in Waingapu City District, East Sumba Regency. To prevent and minimize this, the Community Service (PkM) implementation team conducted interactive socialization activities related to financial literacy and stock investment practices to Generation Z (in this case 15 students or students) at SMAN 1 Waingapu. This PkM aims to provide knowledge related to financial management and experience in investing in shares for generation Z. The selection of Generation Z as the target for PkM aims to introduce financial management and stock investment as investment products as early as possible. Activities carried out related to the implementation of PkM are financial literacy socialization and stock investment practices. The socialization was attended by students from SMAN 1 Waingapu who were accompanied by teachers. In this activity, students discussed with presenters related to financial literacy, then after the socialization ended the students were accompanied by the PkM team to practice stock investment using one of the financial technologies (fintech), namely Magic. As a result, students already have an account and make an investment of IDR 100,000 in the account that has been created. Then these activities ended with an evaluation to assess the stock development of the students. Community Service (PkM) related to the socialization of financial literacy, and stock investment practices to generation z (students) at SMAN 1 Waingapu was carried out well, where students gained knowledge related to financial management (in terms of financial literacy) as well as experience in make stock investments
