Designing the Market of Data - For Practical Data Sharing via Educational and Innovative Communications
This special issue of Open Journal of Information Systems (OJIS) reports work on designing the market of data for practical data sharing via educational and innovative communications (MoDAT). In the market of data, data are reasonably dealt with sold, opened, or shared based on negotiation. Since last years, we have been aiming at realizing a social environment, where each person feels free to share one's own and others' data for learning the latent value of data without fearing the loss of business opportunities. In the market, data and analysts' knowledge are shared by selling and buying, with reasonably determining the conditions for sharing. People in the market may communicate with each other in order to decide to expose the data as open-source, if the trust of the data provider is expected to be elevated highly due to the contribution to people in the public. Thus the Market of Data means a place where the value of data and knowledge can be externalized. OJIS is published by RonPub (www.ronpub.com), which is an academic publisher of online, open access, peer-reviewed journals
Advances in Chance Discovery : Extended Selection from International Workshops
Since year 2000, scientists on artificial and natural intelligences started to study chance discovery - methods for discovering events/situations that significantly affect decision making. Partially because the editors Ohsawa and Abe are teaching at schools of Engineering and of Literature with sharing the interest in chance discovery, this book reflects interdisciplinary aspects of progress: First, as an interdisciplinary melting pot of cognitive science, computational intelligence, data mining/visualization, collective intelligence, … etc, chance discovery came to reach new application domains e.g. health care, aircraft control, energy plant, management of technologies, product designs, innovations, marketing, finance etc. Second, basic technologies and sciences including sensor technologies, medical sciences, communication technologies etc. joined this field and interacted with cognitive/computational scientists in workshops on chance discovery, to obtain breakthroughs by stimulating each other. Third, “time” came to be introduced explicitly as a significant variable ruling causalities - background situations causing chances and chances causing impacts on events and actions of humans in the future. Readers may urge us to list the fourth, fifth, sixth, … but let us stop here and open this book. Â
SCENARIO VIOLATION AS GAPS BETWEEN ACTIVITY PATTERNS
In this paper, we propose interactive and visual discovery method of hidden factors for accidents or incidents. Accidents or incidents tend to occur because of very small differences from an ideal situation. From the above viewpoint, we introduce scenario violation model and regard scenario violation as a gap from the proper scenario. Previously, we proposed abduction-based scenario violation determination strategy, but in this paper, we adopt the Kamishibai-KeyGraph to analyze multiple patterns at the same time. Then, we show a gap discovery procedure by using the Kamishibai-KeyGraph.Scenario violation, incident and accident, Kamishibai KeyGraph
ANAC 2018: Repeated Multilateral Negotiation League
This is an extension from a selected paper from JSAI2019. There are a number of research challenges in the field of Automated Negotiation. The Ninth International Automated Negotiating Agent Competition encourages participants to develop effective negotiating agents, which can negotiate with multiple opponents more than once. This paper discusses research challenges for such negotiations as well as presenting the competition set-up and results. The results show that winner agents mostly adopt hybrid bidding strategies that take their opponents’ preferences as well as their strategy into account.</p
