Charmless Decays Based on the six-quark Effective Hamiltonian with Strong Phase Effects II
We provide a systematic study of charmless decays (
and denote pseudoscalar and vector mesons, respectively) based on an
approximate six-quark operator effective Hamiltonian from QCD. The calculation
of the relevant hard-scattering kernels is carried out, the resulting
transition form factors are consistent with the results of QCD sum rule
calculations. By taking into account important classes of power corrections
involving "chirally-enhanced" terms and the vertex corrections as well as weak
annihilation contributions with non-trivial strong phase, we present
predictions for the branching ratios and CP asymmetries of decays into
PP, PV and VV final states, and also for the corresponding polarization
observables in VV final states. It is found that the weak annihilation
contributions with non-trivial strong phase have remarkable effects on the
observables in the color-suppressed and penguin-dominated decay modes. In
addition, we discuss the SU(3) flavor symmetry and show that the symmetry
relations are generally respected
Possible Dibaryons with Strangeness s=-5
In the framework of , the binding energy of the six quark system with
strangeness s=-5 is systematically investigated under the SU(3) chiral
constituent quark model. The single channel calculation with
spins S=0 and 3 and the coupled and channel
calculation with spins S=1 and 2 are considered, respectively. The results show
following observations: In the spin=0 case, is a bound dibaryon
with the binding energy being . In the S=1 case,
is also a bound dibaryon. Its binding energy is ranged from to . In the S=2 and S=3 cases, no evidence of bound dibaryons
are found. The phase shifts and scattering lengths in the S=0 and S=1 cases are
also given.Comment: 10 pages, late
Human Parechovirus Infections in Monkeys with Diarrhea, China
Information about human parechovirus (HPeV) infection in animals is scant. Using 5âČ untranslated region reverse transcriptionâPCR, we detected HPeV in feces of monkeys with diarrhea and sequenced the complete genome of 1 isolate (SH6). Monkeys may serve as reservoirs for zoonotic HPeV transmissions and as models for studies of HPeV pathogenesis

The association between distal findings and proximal colorectal neoplasia: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Objectives:
Whether screening participants with distal hyperplastic polyps (HPs) detected by flexible sigmoidoscopy (FS) should be followed by subsequent colonoscopy is controversial. We evaluated the association between distal HPs and proximal neoplasia (PN)/advanced proximal neoplasia (APN) in asymptomatic, average-risk patients.
Methods:
We searched Ovid Medline, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library from inception to 30 June 2016 and included all screening studies that examined the relationship between different distal findings and PN/APN. Data were independently extracted by two reviewers with disagreements resolved by a third reviewer. We pooled absolute risks and odds ratios (ORs) with a random effects meta-analysis. Seven subgroup analyses were performed according to study characteristics. Heterogeneity was characterized with theI2 statistics.
Results:
We analyzed 28 studies (104,961 subjects). When compared with normal distal findings, distal HP was not associated with PN (OR=1.16, 95% confidence interval (CI)=0.89â1.51,P=0.14,I2=40%) or APN (OR=1.09, 95% CI=0.87â1.36,P=0.39,I2=5%), while subjects with distal non-advanced or advanced adenoma had higher odds of PN/APN. Higher odds of PN/APN were observed for more severe distal lesions. Weaker association between distal and proximal findings was noticed in studies with higher quality, larger sample size, population-based design, and more stringent endoscopy quality-control measures. The Eggerâs regression tests showed allP>0.05.
Conclusions:
Distal HP is not associated with PN/APN in asymptomatic screening population when compared with normal distal findings. Hence, the presence of distal HP alone detected by FS does not automatically indicate colonoscopy referral for all screening participants, as other risk factors of PN/APN should be considered
EGAM Induced by Energetic-electrons and Nonlinear Interactions among EGAM, BAEs and Tearing Modes in a Toroidal Plasma
In this letter, it is reported that the first experimental results are
associated with the GAM induced by energetic electrons (eEGAM) in HL-2A Ohmic
plasma. The energetic-electrons are generated by parallel electric fields
during magnetic reconnection associated with tearing mode (TM). The eEGAM
localizes in the core plasma, i.e. in the vicinity of q=2 surface, and is very
different from one excited by the drift-wave turbulence in the edge plasma. The
analysis indicated that the eEGAM is provided with the magnetic components,
whose intensities depend on the poloidal angles, and its mode numbers are
jm/nj=2/0. Further, there exist intense nonlinear interactions among eEGAM,
BAEs and strong tearing modes (TMs). These new findings shed light on the
underlying physics mechanism for the excitation of the low frequency (LF)
Alfv\'enic and acoustic uctuations.Comment: 5 pages,4 figure
Long-distant contribution and radiative decays to light vector meson
The discrepancy between the PQCD calculation and the CLEO data for
() stimulates our interest in
exploring extra mechanism of decay. In this work, we apply an
important non-perturbative QCD effect, i.e., hadronic loop mechanism, to study
radiative decay. Our numerical result shows that the
theoretical results including the hadronic loop contribution and the PQCD
calculation of are consistent with the corresponding
CLEO data of . We expect further experimental
measurement of at BES-III, which will be helpful to
test the hadronic loop effect on decay.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures. Accepted for publication in Eur. Phys. J.
Dual deficiency of angiotensin-converting enzyme-2 and Mas receptor enhances angiotensin II-induced hypertension and hypertensive nephropathy
Angiotensin-converting enzyme-2 (ACE2) and Mas receptor are the major components of the ACE2/Ang 1-7/Mas axis and have been shown to play a protective role in hypertension and hypertensive nephropathy individually. However, the effects of dual deficiency of ACE2 and Mas (ACE2/Mas) on Ang II-induced hypertensive nephropathy remain unexplored, which was investigated in this study in a mouse model of hypertension induced in either ACE2 knockout (KO) or Mas KO mice and in double ACE2/Mas KO mice by subcutaneously chronic infusion of Ang II. Compared with wild-type (WT) animals, mice lacking either ACE2 or Mas significantly increased blood pressure over 7-28Â days following a chronic Ang II infusion (PÂ <Â .001), which was further exacerbated in double ACE2/Mas KO mice (PÂ <Â .001). Furthermore, compared to a single ACE2 or Mas KO mice, mice lacking ACE2/Mas developed more severe renal injury including higher levels of serum creatinine and a further reduction in creatinine clearance, and progressive renal inflammation and fibrosis. Mechanistically, worsen hypertensive nephropathy in double ACE2/Mas KO mice was associated with markedly enhanced AT1-ERK1/2-Smad3 and NF-ÎșB signalling, thereby promoting renal fibrosis and renal inflammation in the hypertensive kidney. In conclusion, ACE2 and Mas play an additive protective role in Ang II-induced hypertension and hypertensive nephropathy. Thus, restoring the ACE2/Ang1-7/Mas axis may represent a novel therapy for hypertension and hypertensive nephropathy
