Face Song Player According to Facial Expressions
Contemporary people have highly insufficient time and means of relieving their stress. Provision of a program that can solve such stress in daily life would make one’s life substantially more enjoyable. In this thesis, Face Song Player, which is a system that recognizes the facial expression of an individual and plays music that is appropriate for such person, is presented. It studies information on the facial contour lines and extracts an average, and acquires the facial shape information. MUCT DB was used as the DB for learning. For the recognition of facial expression, an algorithm was designed by using the differences in the characteristics of each of the expressions on the basis of expressionless images. Facial expression is extracted by acquiring information on the eyes, eyebrows, eyelids, mouth, lips and nasal cheeks for expressions of happiness, surprise and sorrow as well as absence of expression. There is an advantage of being able to obtain a substantial effect with very low cost through this system
Pluralistic Ignorance in the Personal Use of the Internet and System Monitoring
Previous research suggests that computer security countermeasures would be effective in preventing computer abuse in organizations. However, computer abuse problems still persist despite these efforts. This study proposes a new model of computer abuse that explains a causal link between abusive behavior and a psychological state toward this behavior, drawn on the theory of pluralistic ignorance. Pluralistic ignorance is a form of erroneous social interference that is both an immediate cause and a consequence of literal inconsistency between private attitudes and public behavior. Under pluralistic ignorance, mistakenly perceived social norms overwhelm personal attitudes and subsequently lead to overt behavior contrary to an actor’s attitude. This new model contributes to the theoretical body of knowledge on computer abuse by providing a new angle for approaching the problem. In addition, it suggests to practitioners that social solutions should be considered, along with technical countermeasures, to reduce the pervasive computer abuse problems
peR Amplification of DNA Extracted from Formalin-Fixed Tissue
In this study we try to confirm whether the DNA from formalin-fixed tissue
be suitable for forensic application such as individual identification or examination
of medicolegal evidences using PCR. Fresh placenta were taken from 18 different
women and DNA was extracted . Some portion of placenta were fixed in 10% buffered
neutral formalin for 24 hour and DNA was extracted. Two loci of DlS80 and D17S30
were used for PCR amplification. The amplification pattern were identical between fresh
tissue and formalin fixed tissue suggesting that the formalin fixed tissue can be used for
medicolegal situation. But the DNA from formalin seemed to be degraded as the fixation
time prolonged
Recycling Studies for Swine Manure Slurry Using Multi Process of Aerobic Digestion (MPAD)
This study was carried out to investigate the feasibility of Multi Process of Aerobic Digestion (MPAD) for recycling of swine manure slurry as fertilizer. MPAD consisted of three kinds of difference process which are thermophilic aerobic oxidation (TAO) system, lime solidification system, and reverse osmosis (R/O) membrane system. TAO system was studied well previously for decade. The chemical composition of the lime-treated solid fertilizer was as like that organic matter 17.4%, moisture 34.1%, N 0.9%, P 1.7%, K 0.3%, Ca 12.7%, and which was expected to be useful as acid soil amendment material. The concentrated liquid material produced by R/O membrane system was also expected as a good fertilizer for crops production and soil fertility improvement.OtherShinshu University International Symposium 2010 : Sustainable Agriculture and Environment : Asian Networks II 信州大学国際シンポジウム2010 : 持続的農業と環境 : アジアネットワークII ― アジアネットワークの発展をめざして―. 信州大学農学部, 2010, 71-77conference pape
