Cases of mixed total anomalous pulmonary venous connection were rare, while cases of the vertical vein drained to jugular vein were even rarer. Pay attention to the size of pulmonary vein and left atrial anastomosis, increase the left atrium volume with pericardial patch, which play an important role to prevent postoperative pulmonary edema caused by anastomosis stenosis, poor back flow of coronary sinus and smaller left atrial volume.

DUFormer: Solving Power Line Detection Task in Aerial Images using Semantic Segmentation

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are frequently used for inspecting power lines and capturing high-resolution aerial images. However, detecting power lines in aerial images is difficult,as the foreground data(i.e, power lines) is small and the background information is abundant. To tackle this problem, we introduce DUFormer, a semantic segmentation algorithm explicitly designed to detect power lines in aerial images. We presuppose that it is advantageous to train an efficient Transformer model with sufficient feature extraction using a convolutional neural network(CNN) with a strong inductive bias. With this goal in mind, we introduce a heavy token encoder that performs overlapping feature remodeling and tokenization. The encoder comprises a pyramid CNN feature extraction module and a power line feature enhancement module. After successful local feature extraction for power lines, feature fusion is conducted. Then, the Transformer block is used for global modeling. The final segmentation result is achieved by amalgamating local and global features in the decode head. Moreover, we demonstrate the importance of the joint multi-weight loss function in power line segmentation. Our experimental results show that our proposed method outperforms all state-of-the-art methods in power line segmentation on the publicly accessible TTPLA dataset

An Evidence Fusion Method with Importance Discounting Factors based on Neutrosophic Probability Analysis in DSmT Framework

    Get PDF
To obtain effective fusion results of multi source evidences with different importance, an evidence fusion method with importance discounting factors based on neutrosopic probability analysis in DSmT framework is proposed. First, the reasonable evidence sources are selected out based on the statistical analysis of the pignistic probability functions of single focal elements. Secondly, the neutrosophic probability analysis is conducted based on the similarities of the pignistic probability functions from the prior evidence knowledge of the reasonable evidence sources. Thirdly, the importance discounting factors of the reasonable evidence sources are obtained based on the neutrosophic probability analysis and the reliability discounting factors of the real-time evidences are calculated based on probabilistic-based distances. Fourthly, the real-time evidences are discounted by the importance discounting factors and then the evidences with the mass assignments of neutrosophic empty sets are discounted by the reliability discounting factors. Finally, DSmT+PCR5 of importance discounted evidences is applied. Experimental examples show that the decision results based on the proposed fusion method are different from the results based on the existed fusion methods. Simulation experiments of recognition fusion are performed and the superiority of proposed method is testified well by the simulation results

Anisotropic RKKY interaction in semi-Dirac semimetals

In dd-dimensional systems with purely linear dispersion, the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) interaction typically follows an isotropic decaying law Jisosin(2kFR)/RdJ_{iso}\propto {\rm sin}\left(2k_FR\right)/R^d (1/Rd+ζ1/R^{d+\zeta}) in doped (undoped) case, where ωζ|\omega|^{\zeta} denotes the density of states (DOS). However, this law is not valid in semi-Dirac semimetal (S-DSM), which is noted for its anisotropic dispersion, i.e., linear in certain axes but parabolic in the orthogonal axes. By exploring the magnetic interaction in 22-dimensional (2D) S-DSM and two types of 3D S-DSMs, new laws are derived for the direction-dependent RKKY interaction. Compared to JisoJ_{iso}, the interaction here decays much more slowly with the impurity distance RR as impurities are deposited on the relativistic axis, while a faster decaying law is exhibited with impurities deposited on the non-relativistic axis. The former is induced by the prolonged decaying rate of the carrier propagator and the modified DOS with smaller power ζ\zeta, while the latter is caused by the modification to the energy of the carrier propagator. The both are attributed to the anisotropy of the semi-Dirac dispersion. We have further discussed the case with spin-momentum locking. Some phenomena (not exist in DSMs) are highlighted, including the strong magnetic anisotropy with XYZXYZ spin model, and the creation (annihilation) of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) terms with impurities deposited on the relativistic (non-relativistic) axis. Our work provides an alternative option to identify the anisotropic nature of semi-Dirac dispersion by measuring the RKKY interaction

Antibody dependent enhancement infection of Enterovirus 71 in vitro and in vivo

BACKGROUND: Human enterovirus 71 (EV71) has emerged as a significant cause of acute encephalitis and deaths in young children. The clinical manifestations caused by EV71 varied from mild hand, foot and mouth disease to severe neurological complications and deaths, but its pathogenesis remains elusive. Antibody dependent enhancement (ADE) infection has been reported in various viruses and has been shown to contribute to disease severity. RESULTS: In this study, the presence of sub-neutralizing antibody was demonstrated to enhance EV71 infection in THP-1 cells and increase the mortality of EV71 infection in a suckling mouse model. Further, a secondary infection model was established to characterize the correlation between ADE and disease severity, and primary asymptomatic EV71 infection was shown to increase the mortality of the secondary EV71 infection in suckling mice. CONCLUSIONS: Together, these in vitro and in vivo experiments strongly supported the hypothesis of ADE infection of EV71. The present findings indicate ADE might contribute to the pathogenesis of severe EV71 infection, and raise practical issues of vaccine development and antibody-based therapy

The title compound, [Ag(C7H4ClO2)(C6H8N2)2], is a mononuclear silver(I) complex. The AgI atom is three-coordinated by two pyridine N atoms from two 5-methylpyridin-2-ylamine ligands and by one O atom of a 4-chlorobenzoate ligand, forming a distorted T-shaped coordination. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked through intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the b axis

SpeechMirror: A Multimodal Visual Analytics System for Personalized Reflection of Online Public Speaking Effectiveness

As communications are increasingly taking place virtually, the ability to present well online is becoming an indispensable skill. Online speakers are facing unique challenges in engaging with remote audiences. However, there has been a lack of evidence-based analytical systems for people to comprehensively evaluate online speeches and further discover possibilities for improvement. This paper introduces SpeechMirror, a visual analytics system facilitating reflection on a speech based on insights from a collection of online speeches. The system estimates the impact of different speech techniques on effectiveness and applies them to a speech to give users awareness of the performance of speech techniques. A similarity recommendation approach based on speech factors or script content supports guided exploration to expand knowledge of presentation evidence and accelerate the discovery of speech delivery possibilities. SpeechMirror provides intuitive visualizations and interactions for users to understand speech factors. Among them, SpeechTwin, a novel multimodal visual summary of speech, supports rapid understanding of critical speech factors and comparison of different speech samples, and SpeechPlayer augments the speech video by integrating visualization of the speaker's body language with interaction, for focused analysis. The system utilizes visualizations suited to the distinct nature of different speech factors for user comprehension. The proposed system and visualization techniques were evaluated with domain experts and amateurs, demonstrating usability for users with low visualization literacy and its efficacy in assisting users to develop insights for potential improvement.Comment: Main paper (11 pages, 6 figures) and Supplemental document (11 pages, 11 figures).
