The possible members of the 51S05^1S_0 meson nonet

The strong decays of the 51S05^1S_0 qqˉq\bar{q} states are evaluated in the 3P0^3P_0 model with two types of space wave functions. Comparing the model expectations with the experimental data for the π(2360)\pi(2360), η(2320)\eta(2320), X(2370)X(2370), and X(2500)X(2500), we suggest that the π(2360)\pi(2360), η(2320)\eta(2320), and X(2500)X(2500) can be assigned as the members of the 51S05^1S_0 meson nonet, while the 51S05^1S_0 assignment for the X(2370)X(2370) is not favored by its width. The 51S05^1S_0 kaon is predicted to have a mass of about 2418 MeV and a width of about 163 MeV or 225 MeV.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures, version accepted by Eur. Phys. J.

The Impact of Consumer Materialism in China on Online Compulsive Buying Behavior

With the development of online shopping environment, the “dark side” of online shopping begins to appear. Onlinecompulsive buying behavior has always been a very important research topicin the marketing field. However, the discussion on online compulsive buying behavior by Chinese scholars is limited.Online compulsive buying behavior can be a problem for consumers, families and even harm to society. Therefore, from the perspective of materialism, this article explores the effect of materialism onthe online compulsive buying behavior, primarily through four aspects: the individual negative emotions, individual economic insecurity, family and peer influence on the individual and the individual’s life satisfaction and well-being. This paper aims to study the effects of psychological mechanism of materialismon online compulsive buying behavior, in order to find the drivers of online compulsive buying behavior. The results will be used to avoid the online compulsive buying behavior marketing activities

Cooling a micro-mechanical resonator by quantum back-action from a noisy qubit

We study the role of qubit dephasing in cooling a mechanical resonator by quantum back-action. With a superconducting flux qubit as a specific example, we show that ground-state cooling of a mechanical resonator can only be realized if the qubit dephasing rate is sufficiently low.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure

Thickness dependence of superconductivity and superconductor-insulator transition in ultrathin FeSe films on SrTiO3(001) substrate

Interface-enhanced high-temperature superconductivity in one unit-cell (UC) FeSe film on SrTiO3(001) (STO) substrate has recently attracted much attention in condensed matter physics and material science. Here, by ex situ transport measurements, we report on the superconductivity in FeSe ultra-thin films with different thickness on STO substrate. We find that the onset superconducting transition temperature (Tc) decreases with increasing film thickness of FeSe, which is opposite to the behavior usually observed in traditional superconductor films. By systematic post-annealing of 5 UC FeSe films, we observe an insulator to superconductor transition, which is accompanied with a sign change of the dominated charge carriers from holes to electrons at low temperatures according to the corresponding Hall measurement

Aseismic Study on Mountain Tunnels in High-Intensity Seismic Area

    Get PDF
The chapter discusses the antiseismic and shock absorption study on the mountain tunnels in high-seismic intensity areas using numerical analysis and shaking table test for recent years and proposes the seismic challenges of tunnel design in Sichuan-Tibet Railway. The aseismic design of the tunnel entrance and the inner part in the fracture zone are presented according to the previous research results

    Sialyltransferase Inhibition and Recent Advances

Sialic acids, existing as terminal sugars of glycoconjugates, play important roles in various physiological and pathological processes, such as cell–cell adhesion, immune defense, tumor cell metastasis, and inflammation. Sialyltransferases (STs) catalyze the transfer of sialic acid residues to non-reducing oligosaccharide chains of proteins and lipids, using cytidine monophosphate N-acetylneuraminic acid (CMP-Neu5Ac) as the donor. Elevated sialyltransferase activity leads to overexpression of cell surface sialic acids and contributes to many disease developments, such as cancer and inflammation. Therefore, sialyltransferases are considered as potential drug targets for disease treatment. Inhibitors of sialyltransferases thus are of medicinal interest, especially for the cancer therapy. In addition, sialyltransferase inhibitors are useful tool to study sialyltransferase function and related mechanisms. This review highlights recent development of inhibitors of sialyltransferases reported since 2004. The inhibitors are summarized as eight groups: 1) sialic acid analogs, 2) CMP-sialic acid analogs, 3) cytidine analogs, 4) oligosaccharide derivatives, 5) aromatic compounds, 6) flavonoids, 7) lithocholic acid analogs, and 8) others.
