Effect of infection control measures on the incidence of nosocomial infections in neurosurgery intensive care units in Yekaterinburg

The article presented a group authors. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of infection control measures on the incidence of nosocomial infections in neurosurgery ICU. Material data were obtained as a result of retrospective studies in two ICU in Yekaterinburg during the 2007 - 2009 years. The study included 110 patients, with the development of nosocomial infections. We highlight the different approaches to antibiotic prophylaxis postoperative meningitis, assessed the effectiveness of different methods of infection control in the ICU. Highlights key aspects of infectious protection of patients during mechanical ventilation. The main causative agents of hospital infections and antibiotic resistance. A comparative analysis of the consumption of antibiotic in the two ICUs with a system of NNIS.Целью проведённого исследования является оценка эффективности различных мер профилактики госпитальных инфекций в ОРИТ. Материалом служили данные, полученные в результате проведения ретроспективного, исследования в двух нейрохирургических отделениях анестезиологии и реанимации г. Екатеринбурга в течение 2007 - 2009 годов. В исследование включено 110 пациентов, с развившимися госпитальными инфекциями. В работе отражены различные подходы к антибиотикопрофилактике вторичного гнойного менингита при выполнении плановых нейрохирургических вмешательствах, проведена оценка эффективности различных методов инфекционного контроля в ОРИТ. Выделены ключевые аспекты инфекционной защиты пациентов при проведении ИВЛ. Определены основные возбудители ГИ и их антибиотикорезистентность. Проведён сравнительный анализ потребления антибактериальных препаратов в двух ОРИТ с системой NNIS
