Bounds of triple exponential sums with mixed exponential and linear terms
We establish bounds of triple exponential sums with mixed exponential and
linear function. The method we use is by Shparlinski together with a bound of
additive energy from Roche-Newton, Rudnev and Shkredov.Comment: Corrected a typ
Inkjet nozzle fabrication - a critical review and feasibility study
The precision fabrication of Inkjet nozzles is a crucial part of inkjet technology. A comprehensive review on inkjet technology, its application and nozzle fabrication technology will be presented in this dissertation. Nozzle fabrication technology is a major challenge for the future inkjet printhead development. Laser Ablation is the most commonly used technology.Master of Science (Precision Engineering
Bounds of double multiplicative character sums and gaps between residues of exponential functions
We derive two new upper bounds on the double multiplicative character sum over subgroups and intervals RÏ(a,g,I,N)=âx=1H|ân=1NÏ(x+agâż)| where Ï is a multiplicative character modulo a prime p, H and N are positive integers and a and g are integers with gcd. (ag, p) = 1. One bound is unconditional and based on a recent result of Cilleruelo and Garaev (2014), the other bound is conditional on the Generalised Riemann Hypothesis (GRH). These bounds complement and improve in some ranges on the recent results of Chang and Shparlinski (2014).13 page(s

SMOOTH SQUAREFREE AND SQUAREFULL INTEGERS IN ARITHMETIC PROGRESSIONS
We obtain new lower bounds on the number of smooth squarefree integers up to
in residue classes modulo a prime , relatively large compared to ,
which in some ranges of and improve that of A. Balog and C. Pomerance
(1992). We also estimate the smallest squarefull number in almost all residue
classes modulo a prime
